Thank you for sharing your makeup process with us, Frannie. You always look so beautifully “put together,” as we say. Here I am, 74 years old, and I actually learned a few tricks from you today! In particular, the way in which you blend your highlighting eye color over the darker contouring colors. When I was younger and started wearing eyeliner, I applied it exactly the way that you demonstrated. One of the most frustrating things for me since I’ve aged is not being able to comfortably wear eye makeup anymore. I’ve got a serious problem with dry eye and anytime I put on eye liner or mascara, my eyes start watering terribly. Since I’ve been 16 years old, I would never have been caught in public without eye makeup on! I will sometimes wear waterproof eye makeup for special occasions, but only briefly, and I have to take it off as soon as I get home. This has been a really difficult adjustment for me. I do still wear a SPF 46 lightly tinted moisturizer with a light foundation over that, and do some minimal face contouring. Finding the right type of foundation as we age can be very challenging. I love your Tarte brand color pallets. You have incredibly beautiful eyes. Here I am, a brown eyed, brunette (well, actually a Silverette now! 🧑🏻🦳), Italian-American gal, and all my life I’ve wanted to be a strawberry blonde with green eyes! If there’s one bit of advice that I can give younger women, it is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! In fact, like you, I have trouble with very dry lips so, I’m going to try that lip moisturizer you use. Thanks again, Frannie! 💞
Wow...that sounds painful. I have had times where my eyes were scratchy and wouldn't stop watering, and it was so uncomfortable. I'm with you on the moisturizing! I slather that stuff on...it feels good on my skin, and it makes makeup go on so much smoother. Thanks so much for watching, Cyd!💕
Hey there beautiful lady! 😁 I too have dry eyes and they water like crazy or they did. I take a little dab of Castor oil and put it on my eyelids at night before bed and it's helping so much! I also have discovered that natasha denona eyeshadow doesn't make my eyes water. (No idea why lol) tarte is the next in line for less watering. And before you say oh you're a young thing because of my profile picture that's an old picture from my 3rd child's high school graduation lol she's my second youngest and she's 27 lol anyway I hope that also helps you with your makeup! Oh and I use eye drops during the day. Hth ❤

I probably returned wigs that I may have kept had I worn makeup when trying them on. Over the past decade, I became a makeup minimalist, but since turning to wigs, I’m restocking! 💄👁️

The best thing you can do is wear it more often. I started out wearing it around the house...playing with the hair like I would my own. Then I went to places where no one knew me. I noticed that nobody was even paying attention. My hair wasn't fake looking enough to get people to look at me😂. I think it takes our own eyes and brains a bit to adjust, but once they do, you won't believe you ever felt so self conscious.💕
This is great, Frannie! I'm fairly new to doing full make-up and I just got my first palette, all part of my wig journey and taking better care of myself. Now I know what to do with it! How do you care for your brushes in keeping them clean?
Isn't it a bit funny that some makeup, a wig, fake nails and eyelashes can make us look like a "natural beauty". lol You did a fantastic job on your makeup. It is very becoming. I have not worn it for nearly 15 years (due to my employment). I would not even know how or where to start again. I do know not to go to those cosmetic counters! The wig is very cute on you.
