Were in northern Palm Beach and the hurricane wasn't the issue, tornados were. Jupiter Farms was hit bad, my buddies house is like half gone. Either way, if we didn't have these first responders and DeSantis, many people would have died. I am grateful for our leadership. Stay safe, everyone, we can get through this together.

I'm in Orlando. A little wind and rain. Never lost power. Made for good TV but underwhelming storm. Lived in Miami, this was nothing.
DeSantis could give a seminar to the governors of the states along the gulf coast on how to prepare for hurricanes.

Every region of the country has a predisposition to natural disasters of some sort. It seems callous to blame anyone for their geographical location when a natural disaster hits. Nobody is immune.
It’s everywhere we live in tornado & earthquake country. There is something everywhere just be prepared. Unless earthquake you can leave if able.
I forget what year it was I had my first Catamaran as we heard a hurricane was brewing. I was on lake Charles when the lake patrol was on loud speakers to get off the lake. As I got the thing on the trailer and headed back towards home they were still broadcasting warnings out on the lake with loud speakers. I will tell ya I am still spooked bad by the words Hurricane or Tornado. I got lucky going home as the storm started by sheer luck there was this old abandoned concrete grain mill site. I cut the locks off the gates and went inside this huge concrete garage like area with the entire rig Cat and all we just fit. We were in there a good solid 10 hours till it calmed down enough to keep heading home.
