I wish I could do the nude blush look. For some reason on my light olive skin, anything even a little peachy turns orange on my skin 😭 I really have to go mauve/plum tones
@@missmia196I bought the phisiacians formula butter blush in plum rose and I really like it, it’s very muted ! However I tend to go overboard with it every time because I feel like I don’t have enough blush but I do 🤣 I used to not wear blush at all because I never liked the way it made my cheeks pink. This blush and KVD in honeysuckle are the only. 2 I wear
The Saie glowy primer is the definition of mid for me…it offers no hydration, the glow doesn’t really translate through foundation, and it does nothing in terms of blurring pores or making products lay better. The Danessa Myricks glow primer is so much better and under hyped.
Same, it is pretty bad. I did kind of find it drying and sticky when I sampled it. I actually don't like anything from saie, everything I tried wasn't good and there's so much better at that price point. And the only thing I liked, the cream bronzer, went off so fast I barely got to use it before the oils went rancid and it started smelling awful.
@@oceanbird. yikes! I haven’t tried anything else from the brand and likely won’t. But I’ve been through three sample tubes of the primer and I agree, it’s drying. I ended up using it over skincare on no makeup days but I would never purchase it.
@@jessi5401 makes sense! And yes saie is one of the "clean" brands where it goes bad really fast. And I really just don't find any of their products worth the price, the textures aren't nice and things are kind of drying and with them going bad so fast it's a waste for me.
ND I Need A Nude palette is pretty, but I’m always reminding myself that I don’t need it because it has been done many many times before. Colour Pop Bare Necessities, Tarte In Bloom, and Persona Identity are all very similar palettes that most makeup enthusiasts probably have at least one of in their collection.
That's very true! And once it's on the eye you get very similar looks. Although I think the eye topper shades are delightful, if you have one of those palletes and urban decay moondust you're good. However I do still love it and it's become my daily palette. I actually don't have anything similar so I could justify buying it. And Natasha Denona eyeshadow formula is my absolute favorite to use so I enjoy it every day. I can definitely see why it's a favorite!
Good point. If I had any of those palettes I may not have picked up the ND I Need a Nude palette, especially CP bare necessities. I have zero regrets bc my eyeshadow preferences lean warm so this palette is giving me a color story I don't have. I was a little worried it would be too cool toned and wash me out but the rosy and taupe tones make it more neutral and romantic, the quality of mattes and shimmers are fantastic and the variety of different finishes make it so worth it for me. I'm obsessed lol
Im w u here. A lot of palette releases seemed unnecessary this year but at least D Myricks and Patrick Ta neutrals palette made sense as face palettes too and abh kinda distanced themselves a bit from the trend with the cosmos and fall palettes. The yucca palette was fun but other than that i cared much more about indie brands than high end releases.
Wow the rem foundation is the favorite?! It's so bad I didn't even think anybody bought it lol! And there were so many good foundations released this year, I'm shocked
@@KellyGooch yes, I think it's what you said in this video that makes me dislike it. It emphasizes dry patches and looks makeupy to the point where it's noticeable on the skin. I definitely don't think those are necessary compromises when using a matte or full coverage foundation with all the new foundation technologies they've been releasing the past few years. I should be able to get matte or full coverage with a good formula to look good using proper skin prep. I didn't see any positive reviews on it haha.
nude blushes are ALWAYS my go-to. i’m not the biggest on blush (i’ve definitely grown more fond of it over time), so the nude, beige, peachy blushes are always gonna be my tried and true - same for nude lips.
I’m sorry but the best foundation this year is the Fenty Beauty Stick foundation. Your skin looks like skin, and it gives you a natural glow. I’m almost done with my first stock and I order my second one already!!! It’s that good! I love all the other products you mentioned, they are amazing!!! ❤❤❤
I use the black girl sunscreen and I LOVE it! I've gone through bottles. Important to mention it's $15 for 3 oz so the price is insanely good! I have dry skin
I love the ND I Need A Nude so much I bought the Glam one. I like simple neutral shades in cooler tones and it expands on my favourite Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 6 pan. Such a nice change from all the orange warm palettes that claim to be neutral and aren’t.
Tower 28 is my favorite cream blush for sure! It's so good, especially magic hour!! I layer a powder blush or even finishing powder on top if I'm feeling like less of a dewy finish. Also I agree about the tower 28 concealer. It's so lovely but yeah it doesn't last. I get longer wear with powder, but making it to 8 hours is kind of a stretch even after set. I actually prefer to use it as a foundation only in areas that I need it. It's sooooo pretty that way. Also love to see you using bk beauty 109 brush for everything! It's my favorite too and I love to take it in my bag because it can do everything!!
I got the Milani Eye Primer last year as my first eye primer ever because I was realizing my eyeshadow wasn't lasting as usual anymore. And I was like, "oh, I get the need for a primer." But it wasn't the best fully for my oily/hooded lids. But once I finished that a couple months ago, I got the Covergirl Lid Lock Up Eyeshadow Primer and it's soo much better! 😊
I need a nude is worth it! I think xenon is worth it too, but I use it as an accent palette. I use a neutral brown and a purply deep brown (nurture and aspiration) from the My Dream palette, with several shades feom xenon. I love the combo and can’t stop wearing it. If xenon is really only limited edition, I’m going to cry when I use up my favorite shades! Snowbow, Nightsky, and Ebb are shades I’ve been reaching for daily. Love them! And occasionally I’ll use skift or another shimmer….
Love this detail of how you combine the palettes! I'm totally a Natasha convert after I started using biba almost every day this year. I got INAN a month ago and I just got the My Dream palette in the black Friday sale (hasn't arrived yet). I'm not going to get xenon because I just never use any of those shades. Do you have any favorite looks you like to do with My Dream?
2024 please Tower 28 come out with magic hour in a powder version. That color is my go to for life. Forget the bright pink that’s where it’s at a nude, pink shade.
I mix the REM foundation and the Saie glowy gel all the time and it’s beautiful. I didn’t like that foundation very much until I did that and now I love it.
I know it’s an MLM, but the Mary Kay under eye corrector is 👀 amazing. Just buy it, use it and don’t tell people in your channel. Lol. You won’t regret it
ive tried both the saie glowy super gel and the tarte tartelette tubing mascara. i love glow and also don't wear foundation daily, so its really good for the stand-alone glow without the oil-slick look that some "dewy products" give. i will admit it gets it up if you use it as a primer, but when i do decide to wear foundation, it always mixes well with any foundation. i also added the tula glowy suncreen to my routine and now i get compliments on my skin all the time... and i swear its because of these products. as for the tarte tartelette, i found it to be okay. it wasn't pigmented enough for what i look for in black mascaras, but i would absolutely jump on a brown version!
I'm so into the cool toned glam look lately. It's so easy and beautiful 🤩 Lately I've been using the Essence Taupe It Up eyeshadow palette or the ELF No Budge Cream Eyeshadow in the shade Sand Dune if I'm in a hurry along with the Buxom Wanderlust Blush in the shade Seychelles.
Jessica Braun loves the trial/deluxe size of the Tarte tubing mascara, she hates the full size! It flakes really bad in her, full size doesn’t flake on me and I wear it when I’m gonna be out all day.
This video sold me on the Sigma powder but which triangle puff are you using for it? I want to make sure I get the same one because the results on your skin are amazing.
Dude this. I was obsessed with the idea of clinique nude pop for a while, only to find out that it was more peachy and blushy than what i wanted from a "nude blush". Yeah, what I actually wanted was a bronzer 😅
I wonder how the flower concealer compares to kosas concealer. I'm obsessed with the kosas but it's so expensive and I swear I run out of it so quickly
The Flower concealer is a bit more dewy and a slightly different consistency. I think the Catrice True Skin would be a closer concealer option to the Kosas if you wanted an alternative!
I love the saie as a highlighter or a no makeup glowy product but it definitely isn’t good as a primer. But that’s fine because it isn’t even supposed to be a primer so…
Natasha Denona is my all time favorite lip liners NOA and Dana and LALA Naya storme Michelle I have them all and they are all my perfect shades 🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍🤎
I think the Sigma setting powder launched last year? I think you said you meant to put it in your high end favorites but forgot, that’s why it’s linked in the video but not talked about…. Right?
I bought it because the constancy made think you would need to mix it with foundation to see any glow or use it like a liquid highlighter. Also I was looking for serum highlighter base. It definitely doesn't work with matte foundation.
For the black girl sunscreen, they sell a kids version with spf 50 and it’s cheaper ($10)!!
I would LOVE for you to do a “rediscovered favorites” for your end of the year wrap-up series!
Great idea!
could you do a drugstore only version of this? i think that would be super helpful !
I pat my puff into another puff and use them both. I feel it doesn't waste as much when patting into hand.
Ooh smart!!
A good tip. The longer our products last, the more $$💰we save!👍👍❤️
I do like revisiting older palettes.
I love when you use older palettes.
I wish I could do the nude blush look. For some reason on my light olive skin, anything even a little peachy turns orange on my skin 😭 I really have to go mauve/plum tones
What plum can you find that actually shows up plum on your skin! All the purples I buy end up hot pink 😢 (I'm also an olive undertone)
