I like the fact that Peugeot took quite a gamble with the RCZ. It's pretty out there, but I love it. It's new cars like these on the road that make you turn your head every once in a while. Good job Peugeot.
The Peuegeot RCZ isn't the typical Sports car you often see on the road. Yes, it does best resemblance to an Audit TT but it doesn't look worst or better, it just depends on your taste. The winning point is that this car isn't that expensive, and looks damn good. It is sporty but also looks classy and futuristic. Look at the design at the back and the rear window.
I just bought one yesterday, dreamt of having one since i passed my test 5 years ago, gone for a 200bhp. Cant wait to drive it once it comes out of M.O.T and service!
I think it's the most beautiful coupe, even when you compare it to sportscars that cost about 3 times as much! Peugeot did a wonderfull job, getting out of the box. That is something Audi, Opel and for instance VW don't do.
I love my 2007 Peugeot 308 2.0 HDi Sport! With 120,000 Miles it's never ever let me down and it's really cheap to run :D I've driven nothing but Peugeot's and love them, best cars on the road!
I love the RCZ, the only problem for me is the tight space in the back. I rode in the back of one for like 5 km once and I fit well, but I was like 14 yo, now that I am 19 and 1.90 meters tall, I doubt I would still fit. If there was more space in the back, this would be one of my dream cars ❤
CHeWy I've been driving my RcZ 200 THP for 4 years / 100'000 km without any of that. had several Peugeots before and the timing chain tensioner was only an issue on my 207. Good cars if you take reasonable care and service once a year.
Saw an orangutan buy one the other day. When he was walking out of the dealership the smile on his face was priceless. I said to him why did you buy it? Well he said "Its the only car that fits my arms and legs. All the other cars were more suited for humans"..."fair enough" I said. "OH btw Did you watch this video?" "Oh yeah!" he said "it convinced me to take if for a test drive"
Drove the TT and RCZ and then decided to buy the RCZ. TT is very overrated and also old hat. No one notices a TT anymore as they are as common as a Ford Focus. Had the RCZ a year now and really impressed great drive and stands out from the crowd :)
he has made a good presentation of both the good and the bad sides of the car. That's his job. If you want him to praise the car you like for your own satisfation, instead of having a professional evaluation, you should hire somone, with your enourmous wages or maybe have your own car show.
I have and has always been a fan of Peugeot. My first car was 505 and I wish Peugeot would reconsider bringing their products back to the U.S.... well, considering what the Japanese, Koreans and the Americans are dishing out lately. Peugeot is different I would have no problems choosing the RCZ over any of them.
i totally agree with you matt and I do own a RCZ for nearly a year now and absolutely love it. You are pretty much spot on everything you said about the RCZ too. I would recommend an RCZ to anyone who is wanting something along those lines. (much better than a TT, Scirrocco or GTC)
Those Peugeot HDI engines are very solid and their petrol engines are good too, new Renaults as well are very reliable, these companies have German engineers working for them now, nothing wrong with their new cars. A friend at work just got a 2 year old BMW and the turbo has gone on it already, gna cost him £1600 to sort out and there was a story on the local news of one of the computers going on a brand new one, the car wouldn't slow down and he ended up having a high speed crash.
I know little of french cars, but this one looks promising in style, despite it's flaws. Still, though, I'd up the horsepower to 260 bhp and torque, maybe add a 7 speed dual clutch paddle shift. Then you can have le concorde speed with your RCZ style.
The 2014 version of these is my dream as well mate. Cheap and quite beautiful, a wonderful combination. Plus 270 PS is more than enough to have some fun.
I have just got rid of one of these, it looks nice from the outside, and does turn heads, however, when you are inside driving it, it is very easy to forget that you are supposed to be driving something supposedly 'special', it becomes quite boring very quick. One main thing that bugged me was the radio control stick on the steering column, I don't know how long the designers fingers were buy they must have been about 6inches to have put it that far away....
My brothers friend has recently bought the 200hp-version. I was kind of impressed but then my brother bought the new Golf GTi. You can't compete with that...
The thing about a car that really defines it for me is whether its FWD or RWD. I find that the joy in cars isnt how fast or good looking its how it corners and the power delivery. This looks too much of a fashion statement, Give me a GT86 over this anyday! This actually reminds me of a hairdressers car.....

The idea at the time was to have many more expensive cars out of their standard platforms, to improve profitability.
Still a Peugeot
@@safakdemir4584 but still better looking than plenty bigger brand cars

do they sell them in the US ?

Is this car in the US
Can you buy French car brands in the US? Such as Peugeot, Renault and Citroën? Just wondering :)
@RandomTaperTV You can answer that question yourself by thinking about the last time you saw a Peugeot dealership in the US after 1991.
@carbuyer could you, when you can get your hands on review the Peugeot 208 looks like an awesome car ty.
Yaay Mat is back!!!!
From my understanding the tiny seats in the back are not for sitting, but for insurance purposes; a true 2 sitter is MUCH more expensive to insure then a 2+2 coupe or roadster.
So if I buy it out side the us and then bring it hear well they let me keep it
