Watched your video since I miss this discussion. :) I commend you for encouraging our youth to study this branch of social science. Polsci is so fascinating. I swear, you will learn A LOT OF THINGS. Btw, I graduated Political Science last 2014 and just finished my Master's Degree in Professional Studies major in Public Administration.

@@alanisyrangulo Hello. Actually, Polsci & Public Ad are in the same field. Public Ad is a part of Polsci. Polsci is broad since it's more on the theoretical aspects of state systems and its bureaucracy.

I just take up a political science as my college course w/out knowing what is political science is?. And you made me realized that this course is worth it, even though their some people saying that theirs no work or job after you graduate in political science course. But thanks Ma'am because you motivate me to continue this course. some people call us( political animals).

I'm an electronics hobbyist but I no more want to pursue electronics because of the vast amount of maths involved..I'm out
Similar situation here. I really like astronomy, but there’s no way I want to study astrophysics in college because of how much math there is involved.

Ace Brown I think you could try studying it in combination with some computer science or math classes so you 1) get another marketable skill; 2) use that skill if you go to grad school and study pol sci there.

Am I the only one who wants to take Political Science pero hindi masyado gusto mag-law?? Medyo nakaka-pressure lang kasi akala ng mga tao kapag nag PolSci ka, magla-law ka. Huhu
the downside of taking up Pol Sci without continuing to Law School is that you would only have limited career options. according to the Politics and Governance book, Pol Sci is generally taken up just to increase knowledge and not actually to generate stable income in the future.

Political Science is not Pre-law course, I realized it that when I was in my third year.
guys help naman po kung mag pro-proceed ako mag take ng POLSCI kase ang sakit din sa dibdib na nag take ako ng HUMSS kase gusto kong kumuha ng polsci bilang course ko sa college though pinipilit ako ng relatives ko na mag take ng ibang course dahil daw hindi worth it to🤦🏻♂️🤧

Accountancy is the best pre law tbh. The CPA exam molds your discipline and character by memorizing formulas and increasing your comprehension to business concepts e.g taxation. For grueling hours, you will learn how to balance and be consistent. Pol Sci however, lacks thereof.

I want to have a degree in Political Science but I am in a state of discernment because I could unlikely to become a Jesuit Priest nor to serve in Government or Lawyer.
Ano po yung mga possible jobs if you are a PolSci Degree Holder?
You can work in a government- local, national, and even international. Also you can work with non profit orgs. hmmm what else? Journalist, business analyst, and so on. Polsci will offer you a very wide range of job possibilities.

There is no best pre law course. Law school is an equalizer kaya lahat talaga mangangapa. The good thing kasi if you will take Polical Science as your pre law, it will help you improve your technical writing and reading comprehension skill which is essential for law school. Also, most of your classmates are aspiring lawyers kaya hindi talaga mawawala ang drive mo na maglaw school after.

Hello po! I'm a STEM Student who wants to take PolSci for College. Does being in STEM lower my chances of getting in T T, kase if ever it does I'm thinking of changing strands which is a tedious process and a big decision to make :'))
Hi po I'm a 12th grade student rin na nag STEM pero planning to take polisci for law, pero thought na it was a hassle changing strands at my last year, but here are my thoughts:)) It's definitely OK to be a STEM student who plans to take up that course and surely does not lower your chances of taking up polisci. Meron din namang iba and strand tapos nagiba rin ang cours sa college na hindi talaga related (My kuya is an example, took the strand ABM for 11 and 12 tapos nag computer sci rin lng sya 😅). I personally think the strands aren't what determine your course in college, but initially guide you to what you're looking for and it's ok pagiba yung strand and hindi related yung course, in the end dapat may hilig ka and yung level of interest kase masmahirap magshift sa college compared to shifting strands 😢😅. Sa polisci maraming reading material na ibibigay at the same time puro research, analysis, writing kase social science sya and altho wala masyadong math or science (ung mga chemistry or physics) chaka formulas. Logical ang polisci at the same time dapat backed up by relevant evidence. So in the end, you have to set aside time outside of school to mentally and studiously prep urself for polisci not only thru ur strand kase lahat po sa college magiiba compared to shs. Hope my opinion helps and God bless po sa inyong studies!😊

No, because ofcourse before becoming a lawyer you need to study law and pass the bar exam, but Political Science can be a pre law or like a preparation for law school.

There's no really pre-law program, any four years program will do if you're going to law school.
thats why they usually put the adjective "best" pre law course to highlight the fact what course had the best chance of passing or easing its way through law
