Train To Busan did such a great job of making us care for the human characters, which makes the surprise deaths all the more heartbreaking. They also were not afraid to kill off the main cast. Korea really have good zombie shows/movies even when it's a genre that's been done over. They really find different plot points to keep making unique takes on zombies plus their zombies are really unsettling.

Kinda like, "oh well I'm old anyway," and locked eyes with her sister and shooked her head "no, sorry." So she stayed, her mauling was a distraction so that her group could go.
The old lady stayed behind to give them time to shut the door by distracting the zombies. She was old, was going to slow them down and was probably tired of fighting. To quote Gene Belcher "Well, I decided to go join the birds. I eat lots of bread already and I'm tired of fighting. Goodbye!", that kind of thing.
Dont watch the sequel, for me its not worth it. It will ruined ur expectations from how good the Train to busan movie to the sequel. The sequel is like not a sequel, its like another story/movie. Its a disappointment actually.
I disagree. I enjoyed the sequel. It’s a different experience, not as emotional. But it does give us a view of what happened to the people who were forces to stay.
There's also a prequel, it's good but it's animated. It's called something like Seoul Station. The station part is correct, I just can't remember the city.

As for the blame that would be on the dad & the other employee, they manipulated the market by tactically selling stocks to save the biotech company that would've gone kaput but was able to continue their biohazard operations thanks (?) to them-
The little girl Su-an just wrecked me at the end! I mean, she's only, what, seven or so? And she's pulling that depth of emotion? What has she been through in her short life that she's able to tap into that? She deserves an Oscar for that performance!
24:01 The sister opens the door because those "innocent" people, lead by the corporate representative, actively decided against helping her sister when they had the opportunity to save her. It was a retributive act against a selfish bureaucrat and his mindless followers who were thinking only of themselves.
i get that, however she did get tons of people killed (who had their own lives and families). ALSO her sister just stopped moving after the door was open lol easily could have made it.
@@Rakhim99the writers made all female characters ass: wrote a useless child, a useless pregnant lady, two useless old women, they could have had atleast ONE able bodied useful female but they couldn’t even do that with the baseball girl she’s only there as the guys love interest. throughout the WHOLE movie i don’t remember a female character hitting or even pushing away the zombies not even once. imagine watching this as a guy where all the men do nothing and only the women are heroes, its suck right?

Cuz they didn't cry? 🙄😂 What's wrong with their reaction? They were fine. The editing could've been better but I've seen worse. There's this one couple out there who watched a dubbed version and laughed at everything that was supposed to be sad. Now those people were annoying.

You "Train to Busan" stans always want somebody to cry to this movie. Get over it. You can still empathize with the characters but some of us aren't that emotional or emotionally connected to them.
This was such a great movie. The sequel (Peninsula) is more like an action film. Rampage is another Korean zombie movie but set in Joseon times. That was cool, too!
