The Metro Tunnel is on target to be complete and open by 2025 and will reduce times by running the Sunbury, Cranbourne and Pakenham Lines through the Metro Tunnel. Also the Metro Tunnel will have direct airport connection via the Melbourne Airport Rail Link by 2029. There is also the Suburban Rail Loop which half of it is under construction from Cheltenham to Melbourne Airport, but I’m gonna have to wait until the 2050s for it to complete. It will be all underground with SRL driverless trains.

Hey Phil - whats the deal with less and less and less commentary on the videos these days. WE used to get info about the type of train, it's set number, where it was going to or coming from and a whole lot more. Seems now days you plonk the camera and hit record and thats it! Please put your personality back into your videos like before - one of the key reasons we watch. Love what you do and the video quality is superb - just a constructive comment about the more recent batch. Cheers TD

The HCMTs are gorgeous. I'd go so far as saying the nicest train in Australia. They got it right this time.
