200km is still 1/6 the distance of PBP which is amazing and not an insignificant distance to do just casually on a Saturday morning. 👏👏
I love the appreciation and wonder you show for the freebies you get. Not a shred of entitlement which I doubt will ever change. And Kyle is the double of my former French neighbour 😀
It feel unreal for us! Thanks for watching :)
Did 21 miles yesterday, nearly killed me. Hats off to you two for your endurance cycling exploits. Me cod loins are burning.
Haha, well done on your ride, every milone is one to be proud of! Our cod loins were pretty knick-knacked after this one!
Came for the PBP adventure, stayed for the excellent adventures and lively commentary. Subscribed! Well done, Amy!
Ah thank you so much!!
I saw my first Tour of Britain, the Milk Race as it was known then, a long time back, well over 50 years ago, when I was a boy. I met Beryl Burton. It was only at most a year or 2 after she'd broken the 12 hour record, beating the men's record. Theer were some well known cyclists there, and I remember one of them was Les West, not long after he'd turned pro (the Milk Race was only for amateurs then, and he'd won it a couple of times when he was still an amateur). Then suddenly everyone was speaking in hushed voices, that Beryl Burton was going to be there soon. I remember, thinking it must be someone really famous, because all the men spoke of her in awe. Then there she was. She came straight to my parents and started chatting to them, as it turned out they'd known her for a long time. I remember, thinking, wow my parents know someone famous. My father had ridden in the Milk Race in the 50s. I can't remember what year it was, possibly the late 60s.
Wow that's amazing!! I'm reading a book about her at the moment, so inspirational!
@@amy.cycling.adventures - You might have read about when she passed the men's record holder, Mike McNamara, she offered him a Liquorice Allsort. She was a legend. My father wrote a book, called "Unsurpassed: The Story of Tommy Godwin, the World's Greatest Distance Cyclist" about Tommy Godwin (there were 2 Tommy Godwins, the other was an Olympic medallist track cyclist), who set the record for the most miles in a year, 75,065 miles, 205 miles a day average for the year, in 1939, which stood until recently. Keep up the good work.
@@stephenbarlow2493 yes I did read that bit love it! And ahh love that!
Another great video Amy 🙂. Great to see you on my local roads. Glad you enjoyed Caffine & Machine, its an awesome place x
Thank you🥰
Love the Cotswolds. You should take a break there and enjoy the gorgeous villages. The pub in Snowshill is haunted, but it’s a great pub 😊
It’s lovely 🤩🤩
Chapeau, Amy & Kyle!
19:12 in the pm & great to see you both back out again on the bikes. I sympathised with your saddle sores on the PBP as went through it on my 21 mile a day commute but started using Metanium & changed the saddle & thankfully it eased off. Best wishes to both.
Awesome you came to Gloucester, I live there!
Cool video once again, enjoyed it
You probably rode further than the pros that day. Chapeau Amy and Kyle.
Nice to see the spring back in your step !! what a fab day you have bothY had, yippeee !!!! Great experience and as usual a great upload , TT TO THE FN 👍
Thanks so much for watching! Glad you enjoyed!
3:28 That’s my favourite kind of route. Pretty quaint villages and quiet country roads 👍
Great video. Looked like an amazing day out for you both. 😊
Well done Kyle on the route planning, that connect's right hit and miss in my experience, ended up in some proper farmers fields :/
You two never cease to amaze me. Outstanding effort yet again. If I do 30 miles i am on my limit. Hills don’t seem to affect you at all. Oh to be so fit. Excellent video 👏👏👏
Ahh thank you! :)
Great video will do this next year 👍🏻👍🏻
Yesss do it with us!
Great vid again. I biked 4miles to watch as race near me in Suffolk 👌🚴
Awesome hope you had a fab time :D
We went to Margam Park for the start of stage 8 and it was so good. Luke and Magnus came and talked to the crowd and it was good vibes all around 🙌🙌
Ah awesome! It has such a great atmosphere :D
Yeah, I was there as well with Swansea CTC. Fantastic to see the bikes and the riders.
Having just had issues with saddle sores...best options to continue riding are wearing two sets of bibshorts and using second skin plasters which you can get from the pharmacy...good luck!
Brilliant guys yippee!!!
Another enjoyable video. If you enjoyed the area then the "Heart of England" 300km audax would be worth putting in the calendar for next year - normally runs in April
Great video as always. Kyle is a food disposal unit, always hungry!
Glad you recovered so soon from PBP, at least well enough to do the 200K. Hope the new saddle was just what the doctor ordered! And congrats again to the both of you on PBP...you'll have 4 years to reflect, and to look forward!!
Thank you so much :)
Watching your videos just makes me smile and feel great Amy. Love the way you chatter away and your little phrases. I particularly liked "Gee Whizzical" in this one.
I can relate to Kyle's situation with the broken seat on the train. Had exactly that issue on a train to London once.....except it eventually decided to totally collapse halfway through the journey, which basically left me sitting on the floor! 😆😆🤦♂️
Ahh glad you like the videos and oh no!! 😂 hope not too many people were there 😂😂
@@amy.cycling.adventures ....... unfortunately it was packed. The ten soldiers returning to their barracks were absolutely merciless! 😆😆🤦♂️
Just saw your 600k audax article in arivee audax magazine! First class, Well done 👍💪
Ahh thanks you!!
What a fab day out 😊
We went to Winchcombe and watched the race halfway up that climb you cycled down. Bloody steep in places, hard enough walking up it..!
Ah awesome!! Hope you enjoyed it! Bet it was hot walking up there 🥵
Cracking ride out on a scorcher of a day 😁
Cycling trough a sunrise is great.
It is!
Luke Rowe cameo appearance. That’s absolutely epic. You’ve completed TH-cam 👍🏼
You should try Warwickshire roads more often. Earlswood, Tanworth in Arden, Henley, Stratford ..... all absolutely made for bikes, lots of views and country lanes.
I love riding through Tanworth in arden its beautiful
Well done on the pbp ride it was great to watch. Words you don't have to use melonies, cod loins, gullet, 😂
Always impressed thank you. Could you do video showing both yours and Kyles bike setup. Thanks
I need to do this! On the to-do ☺️
A second for Bradgate Park for deer spotting , riding through the park is slow due to how many people visit , Lovely lumpy area to cycle around Charnwood Forest
That was a great video! I really loved sharing your (pleural) experience getting to the race and watching the end from the VIP area!
My brother & family were there so I had to very carefully watch to see if he was caught on camera ... nope!
Ahh thanks glad you enjoyed it! Hope your family had a great time!
@@amy.cycling.adventures They loved it!
Love you guys,Carl made that pizza disappear in a hurry.😂👍
Looked a great ride and meeting Luke Rowe!
Belting vid guys!!
Good One
Nice to see you in my neck of the woods.
Great adventure, thanks for sharing! I wonder if all of those professionals knew that they were so close to Amy from Amy Cycling Adventures? When they see this they will certainly be sad they did not get a picture and autograph with you!!!
Haha!! thanks for watching :)
TH-cam superstars with VIP behind the scenes passes 👌🏻😉🚴
My part of the World. Cotswolds can be tough depending what routes you take . Nice Cafes in Broadway . You picked a good day for it anyway even though it was a Sweaty affair lol.
You’ve got yourselves another subscriber based on your PBP videos which were fab. Did keep thinking with this video you were cycling on the wrong side of the road😂
Ahh thank you, glad you enjoyed the videos 🥰
Lovely to meet you both at the INEOS bus. Keep up the great videos!! 💙
Ineos only second to team sky as the most boring team in history
@@Tarmaccyclocross Cool story bro 👍
Great to meet you too!
Good to see you out enjoying riding again on a nice, scenic ride to watch the stage, despite such a hot day too!
BTW, if you forget the antihistamine next time, please edit out all the sniffling! 🤧
😂
Very cool. From USA.
👍👍👍👍
Welcome to the ‘shire! Shame I didn’t see you at Gloucester Station, my home depot, but I was on a London that day 🚄
Ahhh next time!
Love the shot of thé vibrating gear shifter 😊😂
Haha!! Yes gravel is not my forte!
Not just me with the late hayfever then, *sniff* 😁
You did well riding all that way After Paris
Nice ride again.
Thanks 🫶
it’s cute when you say “in the am” or “in the pm” 😅💓
If you want to see deer up close, head down to Bradgate Park nw of Leicester. Deer are not afraid of hoomans in the park. At the main entrance there are some very cycle friendly cafes too.
Thank you!
Love the sound effects at 1:10 😂
Authentic haha!
I thought that was a babbling brook not a piddling Kyle! @@amy.cycling.adventures
Your roadside cafe food is way better than what we have in the states.
Good won Please you got a new Sadl 😀😺.
Nice one. Cotswolds were my cycling playground when I lived in Oxford.
So you're proper VIPs now?
It was beautiful and haha I’m not sure 😅🤪
4:18 omgggg those cars are AMAZING!! 😲
so that’s a place for rich people?
What a wonderful experience and am so glad to see you on the road after a very painful and long PBP, but let me tell you when am out on my bike I know I am doing my best and a fellow cyclist passes me or I see one ahead believe me I am hunting that person down. it's in the genes so don't blame Kyle 🤣🤣.
Ah thank you! Haha yes Kyle can't help himself!
Fantastic ride Amy and Kyle 😊 The saddle bag Kyle was using is this actually a Saddle bag or just a random bag used and strapped to the Saddle ? I have not seen anything like this before so modern 😊
Thank you! It's a Caradice saddle bag that attaches to a small rack under the saddle :D
Oh I see. Thank you for the reply 😊
Just wondering why you never take your helmet off when you stop for food or rest, especially on hot days. I am envious of those empty roads through the countryside. Totally lovely.
Because my hairs a mess underneath it 😂😂
What brand of riding shorts does Kyle wear?? I'm having trouble finding any that are comfortable., And don't look odd.. Good luck guys.
Rapha ☺️
Wee with a view, more commonly known as a Piss Vista 😂
Is that a Brooks C15 on Kyles bike? Is it comfy? What saddle did you switch to after PBP?
Yes that's right! I'm still on the look out for one that suits me better, but I have a Selle Italia womens specific one on my Canyon, it's better but I still think I can find something more comfy, hopefully!
Wow you both take in so much food fuel with all the milelone-ase you're putting in. Riding with my son on our bike path the other day I yell out 'Yippee... down we go' and we both started laughing cuz it was totally flat 🤪
Haha, love to hear a good yipeeeee
Shame Nige wasn’t along. Such a fixture
The £4.50 hot chocolate has yet to be surpassed in price, or forgiven 😂
Haha yes, not forgiven yet!
I think you count as a pro rider now too amy 😂
😂
Good old Luke Rowe
Kyle has developed some serious cycling fitness. What bike is he riding?
He has! He's riding a Ribble CGR 725
Hi Amy. Great vids.
How can you say that about animals but your not vegan.
Things I've learnt from this video.
1. The face Kyle made at 0:01 will probably be returning at some point.
2. If you need to get into a swanky cafe and you haven't got a ticket make sure you've got an Amy.
3. Amy's priority at a Pro bike race is the riders while Kyle's is the free beer and Pizza.
4. Pidcock would not finish the PBP with his little candy ass infected saddle sore!
5. Kyle will supply perfectly timed sound effects usually in the form of a belch! 😂🤣
Haha!!
