Best, BEST trimmer heads - Love them - I can cut sooo close to the ground and use such thick line on my Stihl FS 94. The head is very good quality, almost indestructible - Much, much better than the rubbish Auto Cut /Feed heads
Thank you for the video mate- I’ve got a job on tomorrow and absolutely shattered this evening so instruction manuals can P’off. Really simple video and thanks again, God bless buddy 🏴🇺🇸
I have a STIHL FS 38 with a DuroCut 5-2 trimmer head. I use the DuroCut 2.0 mm /0.08" weed string that slides in the head. My problem is the head keep throwing the string. Put two in and I can only cut about ten to twenty feet then I have to reload the head again with two more strings. It's a new head, my old one used to do the same thing. Not sure what the problem is. It gets pretty expensive buying those tube of string. It's getting old to keep having to reload it all the time.
Easy to use, but only got a couple seasons out of it as a homeowner. One of the clips that holds line failed. Expected a little more from this Stihl product.
Y’all NEED to make one like the 40-4 for your KombiSystem weed eater attachments. My local dealer told me this one would fit it and I bought the KombiSystem less than a month ago knowing I was getting this with my next paycheck. Got it in yesterday and go to put it on and it doesn’t fit. So I take it back and swap it for the auto cut 20-2 so I won’t have to do that tapping bull crap like traditional heads, but I still don’t want to be stuck with the auto cut one. Honestly I may keep using my Husqvarna that I purchased an aftermarket head for that works on the same principle as this, 4 cutting wires and you don’t have to open the head when a wire breaks just slide in a new wire and keep going. Plus, these type heads can use bigger wire and don’t break as easy. So PLEASE make one like this for your KombiSystem.
What's gonna be the finest choice for professional heavy duty use on FS450? We use AutoCut 46-2 + 3.3mm (must be 1") Stihl line, is Stihl got combo with better economy and durability for and type of grass and other urban plants?
Google is saying 2.4 mm is equivalent to the .095" they're saying in the video is the max for that, but I'm pretty sure you can use one size bigger, which is .105" here in the states, which translates to 2.6-2.7 mm.
Hello Tasos, The factory trimmer head installed on this product is a STIHL AutoCut 5-2. This trimmer head can use .080" or .095" size trimmer line. We recommend .080" typically for this model. Best Regards.
Hello Rebecca, Thank you for your question. The STIHL FSA 56 battery powered trimmer does not have any other approved trimmer head attachments. Please send us a direct message on Facebook if you have any further questions.
It's really too small / not powerful enough for these, and they wouldn't fit anyway. You CAN rewind your spools on that though, I don't think they mention that. Just take the plastic ring off the outside and you can put your own (size .065") line on, still have to wind it but it's cheaper than buying loaded spools.
@@leesluga9994 well I just drilled two wholes in the head .tied a Knott in the string cutt to lengthfed thru one way ..... ...taped the center of the head thats exsposed....problem solved
Worst trimmer attachment ever. Super disappointed in Stihl. You'll replace the strings 15 times trying to go 20 feet. Sometimes it just throws the string off while spinning freely, no reason, just chucks it about 20 yards out randomly. There are zero benefits to using this attachment. String is so weak that if you hit anything tougher than a dandelion stalk, you're replacing string. Oh and make sure to carry a screwdriver AND pliers at all times since removing the string easily is only possible in demo videos with a brand new head when trying to peddle this trash. I spend 90% of my time bent over replacing strings. I dont want my money back, I want an apology from Stihl for what this junk has put me through. Shame on you Stihl, shame on you...

Read the instruction manual?? I read it in English, Spanish and Portuguese. There is nothing useful in the "instruction manual". There is nothing useful in this video either. After 40 years of using Stihl products, I have finally found one that is useless, my FS 56 RC cutter. What a piece of garbage and waste of hundreds of dollars.
