    Abusive relationships are not always about your parents or how you were raised. I personally know how easy it is to get sucked into a toxic relationship. I was young only 18 and he was 10 years older than me. He was sweet, charming, attractive and I thought I was in love. He asked me to merry him but the honeymoon was over as soon as it started. He separated me from everyone and It took me three years to get away from him and his abuse safely. That was 40 years ago and now I am blessed to be with a man who is my best friend for 38 years now. Their are truly evil people out there and they prey on the young and inexperienced. I pray for this young lady that she see’s him for who he really is and is able to start a happy and healthy new life.

I thankfully got out of the relationship to be constantly humiliated by both my parents for the rest of my life in a literal sense. I'm 40 years old and this happened when I was 18 years old. I still get negative comments from my parents about how it was my fault that I let that happen.

    What people who smoke pot don’t realize that the drug itself isn’t addictive. The feeling you get from it however is. If you’ve ever taken a placebo without knowing it and think it’s working you can’t live without it. It’s also like video games you feel the need to constantly play them and it’s all you think about the joy you get when you play. I’ve dealt with that myself.

    In my opinion I feel... the way she was brought up... she might have adupted a different definition of love.. by the fact that her father did hit her.. and she had to love him either way.. so she doesn't see physical assault as a bad thing in a relationship. because nomatter how her father hit her, she was still dependent on him and felt secure with him even though fear was in there.
    She should just try to outsource where her sense of security comes from. And avoid both the ex boyfriend and father. Maybe an empowerment program with similar women would help

    When I first met my good friend Joe when he introduced me to his father, I knew that something was off. I didn’t know what it was, but I knew he wasn’t very friendly because he didn’t introduce himself in a polite way.

    And years and years later, he did the same thing with me. You know he didn’t even want me and Joe to hang out for coffee just hang out in general.

    I was done listening to this doctor when he said that weed is a drug, and that it’s addictive!

    • @FanageAB
      @FanageAB 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It can be though. It depends on the usage. If someone uses it nonstop, can smoke 5 blunts in a day or always needs it, then yes it's addictive. If you over use and are dependent on it, it is a drug. Just like overeating, over indulging in alcohol, cigarettes, etc. Anything overdone/used excessively, where someone is dependent on and uses in an unhealthy way is addiction.

    • @FanageAB
      @FanageAB 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If someone uses for a medical reason fine, but some people also use the medical reasons to justify excessively smoking recreationally. People know what they are doing.

      But it is a drug and people can get addicted.
      Just like opiods are drugs that people can get addicted too.
      Just because these things can be prescribed legally, dosnt mean they are not drugs.

    • @cryptaku3404
      @cryptaku3404 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@martypants4088 Only 10% of people who use weed get addicted to it. And those 10% usually are using it because they have something wrong with them like depression, PTSD, anxiety, Schizophrenia, epilepsy, chronic pain, or any number of ailments.
      People who use weed purely recreationally rarely develop an addiction to it because (unlike alcohol, cigarettes, or opiods) weed isn't physically addictive. People develop mental dependency on weed, but that's true for anything else. You can have an "addiction" to gambling, television, running, lifting weights, eating, video games and pretty much anything else. When people say weed is an "addictive" drug, the connotation is that it's addictive in the same way alcohol and heroin are and the science simply does not back that up.

      While it is a drug, it’s VERY difficult to get addicted and if your brain is fully developed (age 25 is when the brain is fully developed) then there is no harm. However, it is a drug. :)

Most importantly, he knows his value and worth and that he is loved and secure. It doesn't take much to raise your child, just too many lazy asses out there who only have kids to tie a man down or for financial gain, but the bitches can't be bothered to raise them. so yeah, there might be a time where somebody might tell me that their parents are being abusive towards them or maybe their mother or their father
    And I might be a little bit quick to jump in and save them without using my better judgement you know getting to know them first to see if they are actually being abusive
    because if the person was being abusive and was actually being beaten by their own parents or by either or parent, there will be some signs there would be bruises on their arms or on their legs. You know they would try to cover up, but you can always tell always see that something isn’t right with the colour of that person’s skin
    So I would know right away that they have been physically beaten by somebody, but if they aren’t physically beaten, and they don’t have any bruises on them or any kind of marks on them
    I know that they were lying that they were just trying to get attention and for whatever reason I will not support that type of behaviour

    The amount of projecting or personal experiences in these comments is wild. There’s a strict military father, and an abusive boyfriend. The strict military father doesn’t have to be abusive for the girl to want to run to the guy. It’s simply the path of least resistance. It’s like when kids go to their friends house and they get to do all the things they aren’t allowed to do at home like eat tons of candy and watch tv and play video games and not do chores. A strong male figure doesn’t have to be abusive just because he has the capacity to be scary. If you want to blame the parents for how the daughter turned out, you should realize school, and friends have a major role in development as well, and very likely could have fueled the daughters idea that her home was something to be avoided.
