No need to drill that hole. On the right side of the handle there's a tab you can push in and the part that you grab to close the trunk comes apart from its housing then you can have access to that timid screw

Next time don't make that hole. The whole unit comes out as a whole with some force. That 2nd screw doesn't attach to the car
