    Realme X2 for sure! And that comes from a redmi fan. They really need to use snapdragon and OLED next time.

      @@othmanskn Snapdragon is obviously better for video recording, Custom ROM compatibility and GCam mods. All of those pretty important to me. OLED is like a nice to have but it's pretty neat that saves a lot of battery when the screen is dark = don't feel like gimmick because of the battery improvement.

    The frame of note 8 pro is also made out of polycarbonate, not by aluminum. Pls correct it you said it in all of your videos regarding note 8 pro.

    I can't believe the helio g90t ran colder in a random stress test against a 730g. Sure, the throttling helped which you won't notice (and you won't bleed) anyway and whine about inferior sustained perf vs 730g.. But still, it's a definite and massive improvement over the past notorious Mtk chipsets.

    I did loads of research, and got it down to these two phones. Ended up going for the Xiaomi with a 6gb memory and 128 gb storage. Best phone I have ever owned by a mile, and happy with my choice. In the UK the Realme X2 is twice the price

    Xiaomi knew that most of their customers won't appreciate Mediatek. They simply didn't care. As a long time xiaomi fan, i feel like this is the time to trust realme. I will buy X2.

      What about the regular Redmi note 8 (non-pro)? The global version should arrive before the end of the year (there is only the Chinese version until now).

      MTK aimed for gaming is fine for day to day usage. I won't push it like a gamer would, using it for day to day social and media consumption would be a very good experience.

    The 3 things that "REDMI NOTE 8 PRO" lacks
    1. sAMALOD display
    2. In-display finger print scanner
    3. Super fast 30 W charger
    May be redmi note 9 pro will have all of them... 😉😂

      Amoled is so battery efficient but note 8 pro also comes with 500 nit HDR so it has no bigger difference of colors. If u see them side by side realme slightly produce a good contrast & color bcose of amoled display. But in ips lcd of note 8 pro is the best among all the budget smartphones which comes with ips

      @@FaridRudiansyah you are fooled into spending money unnecessarily. HDR LCD is just as good if not better. At 50%, better than AMOLED. Too fast charging will damage your battery and not safe.

    Based on t his video, at 5:15, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is better at the same brightness level. When brightness adjusted, 75% for Realme, according to my eye, the bottom one, which I presume is the Redmi is better. This is how I actually feel when comparing my Redmi with my wife's Mi 9T. The sharpness of this Redmi LCD screen is incredible.

      I think they have the first batch of phones and that'' why only those specific users had that, also there was an update as well; now everything is under control,amybe that's why we see such strong throttling so that we wouldn't see thermal issues.

    Indian variant of Realme XT has SD 712 and 20W fast charging , The 730G version haven't launched yet in India, it will be launched in December with Realme X2 Pro

    One of the many reasons I bought redmi note 7 is you can install gcam apk without rooting. Gcam apps is a powerful camera apps in low light condition. I wonder if redmi note 8 allows us to do the same

    I've considered a Realme phone, but I never see a global version offered. I live in rural Canada and coverage is hugely important for me. Xiaomi has good coverage in Canada.

      Yes.. X2 is more expensive than Realme Note 8 Pro.. Xiaomi make Note 8 Pro cheap because they use Mediatek but doesn't matter because the perfomance and temperature is very good.. Front mic is also so cheap on Note 8 Pro..

      @@Soshoyo imagin X2 price if it has metal frame just like Note 8 Pro. Realme push the price low because they are using cheaper material body. Most of Realme below Realme XT are using plastic frame, back plastic, and maybe cheap front glass because there's preinstalled tempered glass.

    It is a bit confusing if you change the sides of both phones. This gamer download feature showed xiaomi on the right but on the following the random write check it is on the left ... hard to recognise due to cam angel where the size difference looks clos to nothing.
    Great review and work on the details like that wireless booster on the realme.

    the dualsim+microsd setup from the x2 is very important for me
    if i would need a new phone in the next few weeks i would probably go for a realme x2 pro

      They are one of a very few companies that do this. Most as you know you have to give up a Sim to use a microsd card.

    I would suggest not to place phones side by side when doing throttle, temp or charging test. As the ambient heat from the other phone/s might affect the results adding unpredicted variance on the results.

    One issue is "measuring the measurable". I mean double the wifi speed is fine, though I rarely wish I had faster wifi. What does bother me often is lost connections in games when my phone decides to switch from wifi to data, or data to wifi. I've read that the mediatek is immune to that issue. Could you please test it ? Like,
    1- forget all your wifi networks,
    2- connect to your wifi router
    3- start playing
    4- switch off your router
    5- what happens ?
    and then same, but with switching off your LTE via settings (not as good, but you can't siwtch off all towers ^^)

      Same happens to me with my redmi note 7 it's a common bug/issue with miui10 ... Xiaomi just need to fix the issue with releasing a quick update patch

      It doesn't get more because the Mediatek chip isn't so efficient. That's why Xiaomi used 4500 mah and not 4000 mAh to keep battery life the same as the Redmi note 7

    Antutu is spot on, cpu mark was higher on realme x2, thus better ui dan daily tasks performance, while xiaomi had the higher gpu mark, thus better gaming performance

      Yes it is here. But not always the case I've often seen sd625 phones run more fluid than the scores would suggest or the other way around.

      Fela Kawilam have you tried a factory reset? that sounds like adware already to me. Xiaomi's ads are just through their bloatware and settings app which I think is somewhat forgivable, now knowing if colorOS is doing that? or maybe adware on your part? really I think RealMe should just move on and burn all Oppo portfolios for their own sake.

    Just one final remark: you showed the temperatures and mentioned ambient temperature but not the starting temperatures ... can the temperature difference partly be caused by the OLED screen itself ?
    I had an impression that my previous samsung oled phones where getting warmer than comparable powerfull samsung phones with isp panel.
    It is just an impression ... when I layed my hand over or came close to my cheek with the display after picking it up and unlocking ...
