Can we use gcam on redmi note 8 pro??
I think X2 is more efficient because it's has Soc 730G which is developed on 7NM technology.. Whereas the Note 8 has G90T which is on 11NM.. I think the number game of MAh doesn't work out well here.. Wht do you think?

Whenever reviewing any two or more phones' cameras, kindly compare photos/videos taken with the gcam as well.
In that way, you can also compare an individual phone's stock cam images and gcam with the whole review of the phone!
That's kinda impossible because there is no guarantee that gcam will be available right away for a specific phone

But the difference in camera sensors of pixels and these phones is drastic, its not possible to apply those algorithms here by porting. This was the reason why pocophone is soo good!

Rupeesh missed a thing... Note 8 pro supports games like fortnite in high setting while 730g struggles and runs on medium and I I think for performance we should consider Helio G90T on Redmi.
And by the way I'm not owning Note 8 pro but I used it.
Also 730G aint smooth on pubg compared to g90t

my choice is redmi note 8. I used the redmi note 3 for four years and finally purchased the redmi note 8. Don't spend more than 15k on a smartphone. They are not much of use. Buy a decent laptop and a budget phone. That will do.

Note 8pro is 12nm processor where as realme x2 is a 8nm processor so efficiency is better in realms x2 so battery efficiency is also better in x2.

Efficiency is a little bit better on 8nm processor but the note 8 pro has a noticeably bigger battery so note 8 pro has better battery life

I think overall the Realme is better. Coz...
Display - Amoled over the IPS LCD anyday.
Camera - It handled the dynamic range better than the Redmi even in video. But the colours are a bit over processed. But can be fixed in post... The Redmi has better details but hey, throw in a gcam mod and boom...
The relame's problem with the sharpness and details will be cleared. And also the stock cam on the X2 pro handled the highlights on the night shots better.
Processor - I'll go for the 8nm 730G than the 12nm G90T..May be the performance is a bit better on the mediatek. But Helio G90T is even less power efficient than Snapdragon 710 by around 10 percent. That is why Xiaomi opted for a bigger battery for the note 8pro.
Charging - I prefer the VOOC over the flash charge.
The UI is a personal preference. I am ok with both...

Even I bought the realme x2 because of these reasons.1) Lightweight 2) Better display - the main thing by which you'll communicate to your phone. 3)Snapdragon 730G- ya it's little bit underpowered than g90t but who plays pubg all the day. For daily tasks 730G is more than enough. Camera side can be made better by updates and yes the reason is also that "realme UI" coming on March which will be close to stock android experience which I personally prefer. Hope this phone don't disappoint me.
Great video beebom. I like your video comparisons between phones. I have been using samsung phones for a long time and they have been great, even though they are expensive. I have used a xiaomi mi 9 for 6 months and loved it because of the snapdragon 855 which made it fast and smooth. Xiaomi are great but i think realme have some great phones with great hardware with lower prices than the like of samsung, huawei, oneplus and apple.
