***** No, it's from Pinnacle Studio 17 (the editing software i use) not being stable with Windows 10. The company told me that specifically. I upgraded to Pinnacle 19 but that has a whole separate problem itself with rendering. I'm working on it
I wish his card depicted the static standing pose drawing which the earlier MPs did rather than an action shot. Also, I miss the toy history gallery in the instructions which depicted the other versions of the character.

I thought Optibotimus was a car guy? I own a '78 Corvette and the scale is spot on with my cousin's Beetle and any cab over Big Rig... Trucks are HUGE, and Vettes are low! Plus I know that Lamborghinis are super wide, I would imagine the Countach has a roof about where the C3 is... I say the Japanese know what they are doing and want a realism to the vehicles. Great review, man!
Optibotimus you mentioned in the review that you're unable to bank Tracks in flight mode? Well you can, all you have to do is turn the car at an angle where he connects to the stand and then raise or lower the armature. It's that simple.
Saved the day once again, I was going to leave in flight mode on his stand but I really like his bot mode. I don't have any issues with it and his another key member of the mp autobot team

I was very much on the fence with Tracks but now despite the negatives I think I'll pick him up. As always thanks for your hard work and keep it up.
I think i've seen pictures where the gun is tab on the side like an L shape and blaster can just sit right at the center instead of tabbing at neither side. Nice zooming technique there, makes it much easier to see! Keep up the good reviews!
Paul, Paul this is your producer speaking, his got more under car kibble because of his flight mode, the other cars don't have that lol. And man that zoom feature is workin well
I think the reason they are doing the side-view mirrors as separate pieces to make them optional. the mirrors on the figures stick off in robot mode where the animation models didn't have them. rather then have them fold away, which at that size would be easily breakable, they give you the option to choose whether or not to have them attached. maybe not the best route, but a decent one. I've glued mine into place, because I don't mind them sticking out in robot mode.
Just got him a month ago. I like him but I think he should’ve come with more accessories like a blast effect for his gun and black “black beam” blast effects for the cannons above his head. Other than that, he’s a good figure. Not great, not bad. Just good.
Got mine from Kapal toys, well their Ebay shop to be more accurate. I think he's amazing, even with the hollow backpack and the wings. I angle mine almost horizontal, with a slight upward tilt and back a little. Like they are in the cartoon.
Very impressive looking Tracks 👍 but I have to say I love him in his car mode better than the robot mode. I hate how the backpack looks unfinished. Or though the rest of him looks awesome

Hey Paul, I just wanted to inform you that you can protect rubber on toys/figures using a cheap maintenance product called Gummi Pflege Stift. It will stop the rubber from cracking so you can enjoy the aesthetic of rubber tires instead of plastic! I hope you check it out and possibly inform other toy collectors!
That hood though... It shouldn't, but it bugs me that it doesn't open like a real Corvette does. Anyway, nice review! Definitely lookin forward to this guy.
Just got this figure for my collection and I would agree with all of your points you have made. Vehicle mode is great but the robot mode is a little lacking. Still needed to add it to my Masterpiece Collection.
Totally agree with the review. Don't get me wrong -- I like him, especially in vehicle mode. He's just too hollow and flimsy for the Masterpiece line. Let's hope Ironhide, Ratchet, and future MP figures are more solidly built.
It is to be noted that the head designer of Takara's masterpiece figures was changed during the release of Ultra Magnus. The new lead was actually the lead designer of the original MP-01 and MP-03 Starscream mold (both of which had many flaws and problems). Not to say that they aren't doing a good job with these new figures, but the flaws in design are starting to show in the figures once again.
+Frederick X. I'm not that quick to jump on that band wagon. These are far more evolved figures and designs than what MP-01-03 were and i'm sure in the many years since the release of those figures, they've improved the process of designing and engineering them. It's a far bigger enterprise now than what it was back then too.
Good review. I seriously consider to buy this figure and I have a few question: 1) is the parts are strong enough? When you transform him it look like you need to pull a lot of power to move the parts that transform, and make a lot of a circuits that in the . video it look like is going to broke. (I have masterpiece Prowl and when I transformed him I was so afraid that is going to broke every second ) 2) I saw that compare him to sideswipe. Is he in height as Prowl as well? (how much inchs) 3) How did you bought him now? According to transformers wiki (and BBTS) Tracks will be available to buy only in November 7 (I glad that you do a review now)
Wow what a nice high quality video! Too bad Tracks didnt turn out a 10 but he does overall look pretty nice. I used to love the flying car mode as a kid. Flew it around all over the place and it wasn't much cheesier than the M.A.S.K toys.
Not sure if you figured it out yet but the mirrors go all the way in. If you unfold the door to get leverage and push the mirror in by the post. It's hard but once it goes in, mine didn't come lose anymore like in the beginning.

The whole rubber tire thing is very interesting to me. You say the ones you've had have cracked, and I don't doubt you, but I find it interesting that Lego's tires don't tend to crack (the really old ones do, but their quality has improved since then, and they use a completely different rubber). the same is true of pearled plastic. Hasbro and Takara have a really bad record with it, but pearled lego pieces are perfectly fine. So clearly, its possible to do these things right, so why can't Hasbro and Takara do it right?
One more, I really agree that this is the weakest one of the masterpiece line, and I really think they could have done things better on the knees (looks angled!), shoulder, backpack, ankle joints (looks hollow), clearance issue on the waist (front windshield)... The only thing I like about this figure is the revealing mechanism of the hands, as you've just pointed out :-) .... and lastly, rubber tires would have been nice... really..
I'm just curious, did you figure out how to rotate the arm on the stand so that you could pose the car sideways like you mentioned in the video? I just twisted the arm on the base to where it was sideways, then I was able to lean it back with the tip tilted forward and was able to pose it on a great sideways lean. It looks great that way:)

I got mine and I was really disappointed that the head tends to fall back, and by following your instructions in the video, it does let the head stay still by pulling the head up until I hear a click. However, I am still not convinced that by clicking it is the correct instruction... because, by pulling the head all the way up makes me think that the neck session in not perfectly flush.. or even. What's your opinion about this issue?
+optibotimus Ah, sorry about that. On the real car however, the hood opens the other way. I guess that was Hasbro's idea for avoiding copyright issues in the '80s.

the height of Raul is way off. The c3 corvette height is a little under 48" high and Raul is the same height as the car's roof making him 4 foot tall. I figure he was at least average height of 5'8" to 5'10". Math isn't my thing but I figure that the figure should be about 1/4" taller, which is way off of the other figures. Btw: Art Feather did a nice chip figure even though it's not a official release.
Just remember that this is the original designer who gave us mp09 so you can understand why the designs are not as good.that said I should get this next week

If you want the wing mirrors permanently attached, a dab of super glue on the end of the tab and insert it into the slot. Problem solved.

So many reviewers state that Tracks can't bank in flight mode, but all you have to do is twist the entire arm on the stand.
It comes with the same accessories as Tracks but comes with a repaint of Blastor making him Twincast

The whole rubber tire thing is very interesting to me.
