    One of the best Pov's i've seen, so calm and sharp shots with an affordable camera!! Keep doing what you do, you're awsome!!

      Maluco é sinistro. Uma pena que quase não tem tutoriais dessa câmera em português.

    I like your photos and you're really inspiring me to grab my old camera and go out and shoot, but how do you edit these photos? Because I've seen other NEX-3 street photography pictures and they don't come out like yours. Yours have this....filmic quality both as far as texture goes but also as far as colors go. How do you do it? I'd love to see a video where, similar to the one you did on night photography, you walk us step by step into how you achieve this look.
    Anyways, I love your photos. You do a really great job!

      @gothamvisuals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! 🙌🍻
      As for your question, it’s mostly done through dehazing, or messing with the highlights. I don’t really add any “film effects” to my photos. I will definitely keep your comment in mind for some future videos going over those exact things! It won’t be for the NEX-3 but it will still give you an idea of how to achieve this. 🍻

    • @flotopo
      @flotopo ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gothamvisuals, thanks for the pointers on dehazing and messing with the highlights. I've already started experimenting myself with different ways I can get that look but I will sure love it when you'll come out with that video.
      I did notice that you edit you pictures with that same look even with other cameras, like the Canon T2i.

    Hi, i really liked you video and i have seen if buy this camera. Can you recommended me buy the sony nex 3 or canon t3i?, considering the canon´s camera cost a little more than half of the sony´s camera.

    • @gothamvisuals
      @gothamvisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      between the 2 I would recommend the Sony NEX-3! In my opinion it's a much more advanced camera than the t3i at that price point. Or even grab a Sony NEX-7 if you can for a tiny bit more $. Practically a Sony a6400 in smaller form without weather sealing.

    I take it that this color rendition is very common on TH-cam. What LUT are you using ?

  • @craigellitson6511
    @craigellitson6511 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    nice shots, just got a nex-3 giving and going to try it out soon, what settings do you use for the shots?

    • @gothamvisuals
      @gothamvisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sweet deal! I typically either shoot in Manual or Aperture Priority mode. Metering mode is set to center most of the time and I'll set my iso accordingly but I wouldn't recommend pushing it over 3200 unless you don't mind some grain in your photos.

    I love your videos, I wanted to ask you a question, can the sony nex 3 shoot with old lenses?, that is, they do not communicate with the camera

    • @gothamvisuals
      @gothamvisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Appreciate it!! Glad you like em👊 And yes, pretty much any camera can shoot older lenses just without autofocus!

    I have this camera but with a 16-50oss lens, how do you recommend replacing this lens?

    • @gothamvisuals
      @gothamvisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My first recommendation would be a 50mm f1.8! 🍻

  • @leixo
    @leixo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The kit lens on this camera it's good? Or at least fine for start it, or you recomend buying a lens too?

    • @gothamvisuals
      @gothamvisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 28-70 kit lens Is definitely a good start, and probably the best out lens out of any camera brand out there, but if you really want to be able to expand I would suggest picking up a prime lens. The Sony 50mm f1.8 I know I fairly inexpensive (For a Sony lol), I never owned one I just know it's a good choice. Or any of the 7artistans lenses are really good if your ok with manual focus, especially the 32mm f1.6! And they tend to be all less than $200 for the most part and very good quality. You can also go with the lens I used here which was the 55-210 I believe which obviously gives you tons of reach in a fairly small and lightweight package. All and all, you really can't go wrong with any lens you put on a NEX-3 or any Sony camera for that matter, it will always look good! 🙌 I hope this answers your question well enough. Cheers🍻

      @@gothamvisualsthank you so much! I'm still into photography because of your videos and this comment, i found out that i love doing manual focus and prime lenses are awesome! I have an 25mm, 35mm, 58mm and a 70-200mm kinda heavy but love the range, getting pics without getting notice, i think sometimes do record pov's too, really like your channel, thank you for your videos!!

      @gothamvisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really appreciate it!!✌️👊 And I was using the Sony 50-210mm, but I replaced it with a 32mm f1.6 prime lens.

    Would you choose a sony a6000 or the sony nex 3 as a good first camera! I'm ready to get into photography, and hope to achieve results like this!!

    • @video2000ification
      @video2000ification 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely the a6000, the Nex 3 if your budget is really low. The a6000 has high teir features in a consumer body and is great for anything you're doing
