Oh my goodness, bless your heart! I know everyone says it's dry heat so it's not as bad without the humidity but I've lived in Kansas where we had a record stretch of triple digits and dry heat or humidity, I still avoid the outdoors as much as possible. Thank you so much for your sweet compliment and for joining me! I really do appreciate it.
I use news papers and sprinkle a little armor hammer on the news 🗞 paper. I don’t use yr metal trays I use one made with 1” x 2” furring strips to make my trays. I find it work good. It saves money and keeps my cats paws out of it
Sounds like a really good idea. We’d never have enough newspaper around here but I love the fact you made your own and was so inventive. I may try some arm and hammer myself.
I purchased those from both Advanced Auto and Auto Zone for 11 and 12 dollars each. Here is a link to Advanced Auto Parts:shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/flotool-galvanized-drip-tray-11430mi/9016759-P?searchTerm=36%22+metal+drip+pan. My only complaint with these pans are that they rust I'm finding. So I've located some on Amazon (amzn.to/3yrYyeC) which are $20 each but are not metal and should hold up better. I've only had my trays for about 10 months and will need to replace a couple of them soon. I hope this helps. Thanks for joining me! Marian
keep using the wood shavings as they compost and make good fertilizer.........the cat litter is mostly clay ..........UNLESS U NEED MORE CLAY IN YOUR SOIL

Lol I love when they talk, my male crows and it’s adorable
I agree, and all of the different sounds they make, too cute 😊
Thanks

Where did you get your trays please let me know.
Auto Zone and Advance Auto. They are drip pans and work great. I even use them under my rabbits.
Ibeen trying to find some rabbit manure for my tomatoes. Box me about 10lbs. I'll be more than happy to pay you.
Where did you get your large J feeders?
Strombergs.
@@SimplyMadeHomestead thank you! Just what I needed. Amazon only had the smaller 7in. 😀
They’re awesome!
Ever use armor hammer cat litter instead of wood shavings?
No but I feel like the pine chips are probably cheaper and I love the smell of them.
Cat litter has chemicals.
keep using the wood shavings as they compost and make good fertilizer.........the cat litter is mostly clay ..........UNLESS U NEED MORE CLAY IN YOUR SOIL
More clay in this sandy soil would probably be beneficial but I like the wood chips.
Where can I order the tray?

Why don't you find a saw mill and get some saw dust
That’s a great idea! Around here though, we have a lot of cedar which is bad for poultry.
My birds are on it but we got western cedar
