Would you please be able to write out a step by step materials supply list for this? I built your AMAZING cages and I want to build the waterer to go with it, but I am having trouble following it without a written list. ❤
LOVE THIS!!!
Awesome!!!
Thanks for joining me!
Just finding your channel. We're in northwest Florida. I've never grown peanuts and want to try this spring. Enjoyed the video, great harvest. Have a blessed day✝
Where in NW Florida? I grew up in Port St. Joe.
@@SimplyMadeHomestead I'm from Port St. Joe, live in Panama City
@@SimplyMadeHomestead Grew up on Monica Dr in Ward Ridge by the PSJHS
That’s crazy 🤣. Well peanuts thrive in a sandy soil. My dad use to grow them in our backyard and were sandy down here too.
@@SimplyMadeHomestead yep, small world. We have sandy soil so I'm hoping they'll thrive. I have a TH-cam channel, but my videos are pretty bad, lol
Just started making my soap loving it 😄
Wonderful!
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure
Outstanding I have a request Risotto with an American twist Thank you Maam
I’m not an experienced risotto maker so I don’t know. I’ve only made a mushroom risotto that I love.
@@SimplyMadeHomestead I know it's the ultimate comfort food Mushroom risotto sounds lovely I appreciate your talent Thank you for responding
@RobertHiett-k6l thank you for watching, I really appreciate it.
@@SimplyMadeHomestead The pleasure is all mine Maam I'll keep watching when time allows
How many quill does this cage hold?
1 male and 5 females.
I've eaten wild quail a few times as a child, watching my mom's ways for preparing it. So far, pretty much like being shown here. Most of the time, Mom made a stuffing like she'd for Thanksgiving or Christmas and for resting the quail on for baking and serving the quail on top of with the sides. I've even made it like this myself a few times when the husband brought home enough to cook for supper. If he hadn't killed enough for everyone to have at least two each, dressed out in the woods, they'd go into the freezer until he'd killed enough to go around.
Sounds wonderful! I’ve lived that life too but it’s been awhile.
Oh my word 🤣
Keep the good work going granny. You are great granny 😊 .
This was the most helpful video I’ve seen. I’ve been able to sex my feather sexable quail but have struggled with the others. Thank you thank you
I’m so happy it has helped! Thank you for letting me know.
Thank you for showing me how to build this cage. I have 1 week ok quail chicks and need to get a cage built. Do you prefer a flat bottom or the roll out bottoms and why?
I prefer the flat bottom because it forces me to go into cage to gather eggs which made me remember to look at the birds daily. To check them out and to make sure they aren’t injured or sick. But I never had a big production of quail, I kept it small which made it easy. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Have fun!
@@SimplyMadeHomestead ah makes sense. Thank you
They have some feeders on bass equipment for 7$ and they have the build in guards your making!
Oh that’s cool! If you have the link I’d love for you to share it.
Are you sure the skeleton wood pieces are 2x2 and not 1x1?? They definitely do not look 2x2 but I’d like to know before I go buy them haha. Thanks!
Yes, I’m very sure they are 2x2’s.
Love it. I love making soap. Thanks for sharing this tutorial
I love making soap too, thank you joining me.
Very beautiful saop. Thanks for sharing with us..
Thank you so much and you’re very welcome! I’ll have more to come soon.
The shells are super thin but the membrane is very strong. The ONLY way to access quail eggs are with egg scissors. I do several hundred each month and it’s a huge time saver and no egg shells in your eggs.
Good advise and very true. Thank you for watching and for sharing.
😊I Like it
I’m so glad, thank you!
You the MAN!! I mean WO MAN
🤣😂🤣😂 thank you!
Loved your video you done great
Thank you so much!
Very excited!!! I can’t wait to order this one!
You’re gonna love it!
I like this video thanks
So glad, thank you for watching! 🌻
I planted a Triumphant (spellcheck) muscadine early spring this year on a cyclone fence. When my chosen cane reached the top of the fence, I pinched off. The growth was wild. It split with a matter of weeks, and I had a vine running in two different directions. Awesome. Here’s my question. One of the runners atop the fence is nearly 7 feet in length. The runner to the other side is half that length. Is that normal, or should the two split runners be the same length?? Thanks!!!
I’ve had that happen to and I don’t know the reason for it. It I just nipped the one when it reached the post and let the other keep going until it got to its posts. I did keep the suckers off until both reached though.
Thank you for this video. It is very helpful for my one batch of quail. How would I go about figuring out male and female snowflake quail? I have a couple of them I got as chicks.
I’m sorry I’m not familiar with that breed at all. It sounds like they’re quite tiny but I would think it would be the same. You may need a good pair of readers or a magnifying glass, lol.
You talk too much, can't you just get to the point?
Have you ever heard of fast forward? You also have the option to exit out and watch a different channel. But then maybe that was too much information for you.
A super easy lazy way I did it ,was to use D clips or caribiner clips to attach panel gates right to my existing fence.😆 I did that for a few years. Just now creating pens with post corners and framed out gates. It takes a while getting started. You do what you can. My sheep don't care what my gate looks like.😆
This is true! As long as it works is what counts.
I built it exactly the way you did, however, I’m not sure the quail knew what to do, the cup is usually dry when I get to it.
Have you seen them use it? If it’s dry that may be drinking it. I keep a small chicken waterer in there until I start seeing them use it.
Have you found that the quill don’t know how to refill the cup? As far as tapping the yellow piece?
No I haven’t had any problem with it.
Ok thank you!
Can you tell me what type of quail you have? They are much bigger than the ones I usually see in videos. And if you purchased them thru mail order, please share the link. THANK YOU from Missouri. GREAT video/plan!!!
myshirefarm.com Coturnix quail
You keep all your males together and if so how did you do that without them killing each other??
2 pounds how much grams
Per a converter I googled, 907.18 grams is equal to 2 pounds.

Why can’t you?
I knew a farmer that cracked then froze her extra chicken eggs to eat later.
We’ve done that with our chicken eggs but Andrew loves them pickles so there’s never any extra for freezing.
Thank you!!!!

How would make this with liquid milk?
I honestly don’t know, I’ve never added liquid. I’m sorry.
Is there a brand name on the heater your using. I don't see the one your using on the tractor supply link.
This is an old video. Let me check on it for you and I’ll get back to you in just a bit.
I look the heaters up on Tractor Supply and I saw one that looks like mine but I have a better option for you. Follow this link: www.premier1supplies.com/p/heating-plates-and-covers?cat_id=232&ROI%29%20Heated%20Products%20-%20NB&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_j22gLVR0EoqyLwIUaU4-BnsUEK&gclid=CjwKCAjwqMO0BhA8EiwAFTLgIKW_bX9486gX79V-1_sM6K1-ZbsiFUxRmNZ0nOZL8mrvIi4LUNWOzxoCWs4QAvD_BwE. Premier1 is a good company and we’ve used them several times for poultry fencing, etc. and when I purchase another one, I will buy one with the domed top. It keeps the chicks from getting up there and pooping all over the place. They make such a mess.
@@SimplyMadeHomestead Thank You!
@floydburkett630 you’re very welcome!
Egg laws around the world are daft, we dont wash or refrigerator our eggs , the refrigerator part possibly due to climate differences, but our laws are the exact opposite and say the shell protects the egg washing is more likely to spread/encourage bacteria. Everyone has to follow their own laws obviously but it's crazy how they differ so much .
I agree with everything you said.
I thought the shorts were cool lol
What type of dogs are they?
We have 2 Pyre Poos, an Anatolian Shepherd and an Australian Shepherd mix.
