I'm 62 and I now have realised that thought my life I have probably stepped over or just walked straight past some of the most beautiful gemstones and rocks in the world. Wow look what we probably all missed.
When I was a little girl, my father would always scold me whenever I have my head up while walking. He used to say that, " One can find more things on the ground than up in the air." Makes sense to me know. :-) Cheers, Liz
I have been obsessed with stones and rocks since I was a little girl, and as I am watching this video I'm fidgeting and visually stimulated by everything I'm looking at! I would love to have the opportunity to physically visit a place like this....I would probably lose my damn mind!! ♥
I really enjoyed listening to you! Not only are you very knowledgeable, you make this subject interesting and fun! I have a boring life at the moment and it is really great to share your adventures. Thank you for doing this!
I never knew that these stones are precious! We have lots of this kinds in our river. Traditionally, we go there to do wash our clothes and it has many precious rocks and agates too, I have seen lots but I don't have the knowledge.
Now, I am learning and watching to gain knowledge about its differences. Thank you!
Oh my word, I would love to come hunting for rocks with you two. I've been fascinated with rocks all my life although I don't know a great deal about them, I would love to learn more about them from someone who clearly has such a passion for them like you have. This is the first time I have seen a video by you and I am going to watch your other ones. Many thanks from the UK and myself. Brightest Blessings x
Thanks for watching and commenting. I find that going outdoors is the best way for me to learn. Hope you get the chance to explore. Wishing you all the very best. Cheers, Liz
Instructive videos which summarize the reading of several books in the subject. Thank you very much, madam, for all your efforts and willingness to share your knowledge.
This is relationship goal for me. Two people having the same hobby outdoor, looking for beautiful precious things together. So much fun! I'm jealous but happy for you, too...you sounded very excited every time!
I hope you guys always save and happy on the journeys (because I heard it could get crazy in Australia). Need to always bring antivenoms or something... ❤❤❤ Love watching your videos!
I have never heard anyone get as excited about rocks as myself and my kids. I love rocks in their natural state . I love trying to identify them as I find them . Each rock has energy . I can't wait to see the finished product.
Hi Dania and kids, Looking for and at rocks and being out there in nature is food for my soul and mind. You know what I mean....:-) Thanks for watching and Happy Hunting. Cheers, LIz
Liz Kreate Thank you ,I can't wait ! At least now I know that I have a good eye . The only problem will be choosing . I have never met a rock I didn't want to bring home, lol :D
I always found sparkling rocks back when I was small and spent a lot of time with my grandparents. Always wondered why they sparkled, glad to finally know!
We have a lot of stones here in the Philippines in fact i have a big rock mixed with chalcedony and petrified wood i found it near the brook
Liz, your videos are as precious as the beautiful stones you are looking for. Thank you for presenting us such lovely and educational videos, keep them coming :)
Thanks for the kind comment marincad. Glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Liz
I love watching your videos over and over Kim. Your enthusiasm and excitement for rocks and minerals reminds me of myself. Please keep sharing your journeys with us!
you made my heart jump, fellow rock lovers and gems gold you know. wonderful watching
AWESOME finds. My Mother started a rock garden many years ago. Everywhere her and my dad went somewhere, fishing, hunting, visiting relatives in other states, she would go rocking.
Her and my Dad's ashes are now in that rock garden. I have some pretty rocks I would like to tumble and add to it.
My tumbler recently broke and I've hinted to my 3 daughters that I would like a double one. My birthday is this July and I will be 68.
I would give anything to spend time with these folks. so cool. neat.poor.guy.doesnt get as much attention as this lady. very fun couple. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.FOR SHARING YOUR HARD EARNED KNOWLEDGE..
When I was younger I was interested with different stones as well. I think I’m going to go back to the old hobby.
I absolutely LOVE your channel! I live in Manhattan, where we have many excellent things, but pretty much no interesting rocks! There's so many people here that everything on the ground has been picked over a thousand times. It's wonderful to watch your videos and get a window into a world where there are so many wonderful and fascinating stones still waiting to be found!
Thanks for watching and commenting Stella. Not much gemstones either where we live, so we travel to these places away from home to feed the prospecting bug. All the best, Liz
Hello Ms.Liz just wanted to say 😊 thank you 😊 for teaching me what to look for when I go out looking for 💎 gems god bless you.
You're most welcome Maria and thank you for watching and commenting. Glad to know you're enjoying my videos. Wishing you all the very best. Cheers, Liz
We went on a campingtrip to the Czech republic last year, near our campsite there was a river and from the moment I discovered it I went there every day to go gemhunting. I found lots of quarts and agate. They're not polished so they look like regular stones but if you sprinkle some water on them you can see the beauty, that's what I love about river gemstones.
We also discorvered a stonemine not far from our campsite and we found LOADS of jaspers. jaspers are one of the most beautiful gemstones in my opinion, I love the colors :)
You are so lucky to have access to such a huge variety and abundance of gems!
Glad I'm not the only one who goes rock, gem, arrowhead, fossil hunting although I've very picky about the ones I keep.
Wow thank you. This was very informative and I enjoyed learning that I can check out the smaller bits first.
I collect crystals and so this is new to me but I found it very, very interesting.. and will be branching out after seeing this ! Absolutely loved this.... fascinating !
Thank you
You're welcome Lynne and thanks for watching. Happy Hunting.
Learned more in this video than I have in hours of watching you tube... Subscribed
Liz! We have tiny bits of red Jasper and gold and chocolate just out our door in a field. No water around. Here in America next to California
It was so much fun going on the adventure with you! Great video. Especially liked how you showed them cut and polished at the end.
Thanks for watching and commenting Tracy. I'm glad to know you like the video. Cheers, Liz
That's so awesome. I just recently started rock collecting down by a river we live by and going to lake superior tomorrow. I sure wish i could identify rocks that easily tho. Would make things so much easier. Right now its just "oh look at that thats a... Nice..rock"
Very cool! I'm gonna keep my eyes open for cool rocks around Joshua Tree, Malibu, and Big Bear now.
This video is jasperfect
my name is jasper and you just made my life.
Oh my god this comment is amazing
You are the only channel besides my dad's that I am subscribed to! I wish one day I could go rock and gem hunting with you :) You have such a happy uplifting energy! My fiance, his dad and I just moved to a very very rocky area in california, our front yard has a bunch of red dirt and quartz. I've only dug 3 times so far but Ive found many shinys and I think of you :)
Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a lovely comment Nicole. You're very sweet. Hope you find many more shinys and keep smiling. All the very best, Liz
I can only imagine the amount of rocks that you picked and kept through the years ! Rocks in the garden, rocks in the living room, rocks in the bedroom, rocks in the basement...
Josiane David my thoughts exactly.
Josiane David rocks in your head? Lol. Joke only!
Must be alot of energy in her house!!
Rocks buy the toilet... Rocks in her car... Rocks in her hair... rocks are everywhere!!!
Sounds very much like a problem that I have with "rocks".... ;) Great video, Thank you.
That was fun to watch...Thanks Liz...now you can have some food for the slab saw...Feed that slab saw...lol...lot of fun...You both ROCK...
I can watch these videos all the time thank you you’re the best
I wish I had your knowledge 💞💖😍 I just collect what's pretty.. what I think is agate, jasper.. and lots of granite
I collect what I think is pretty too! If a rock has shimmery and glittery colors once wet...I really like them!
I like the little fishes and I also like the background music. I just noticed that too. It's like the Celtic or Irish music I sometimes listen to. The fish - when I go walking in the creek they bite my ankles, but I let them do it because it doesn't hurt. Whatever it is they want to get by biting my ankles, I might as well let them get it.
We should buy stock in buckets. I have too many rocks and renting a storage unit to hold my rocks! Red n yellow Jasper here in Colorado, USA. Amongst many others. Buckets full
I know nothing about rocks. But now that I am watching your nice video I suddenly recalled that in the passed I think I saw some the same stone colors that you showed in some rivers / beaches. Never know that they are valuable
I pick up rocks mainly because they look interesting and beautiful to me. Thank you for watching Minda and hope you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Liz
I love your information. Beautiful stones
Liz, Wow, I enjoyed seeing all the finds. Thanks, Pat S
You're welcome Pat and thanks again for watching and commenting. Cheers, Liz

Liz I would like to thank you so much for your videos you got me into crystals and been giving me nformation about them so thank you very much I hope one day I could go searching for nice stones like you .
You're welcome Angel. Glad to know that my videos have influence you into loving crystals. All the very best, Liz
I am in the kangaroo valley at the moment. I found the best stuff under the Hampton bridge. I did go up the ‘upper kangaroo river’ but was hard to find spots to park a car. Found a few spots but it has been raining so the water is higher.
I did find green jasper, petrified wood (some with agate filling in small spots) agate (or chalcedony) pieces that are almost clear, some small fossil remains and I think red jasper (smaller pieces) I was hoping to find wulfenite but couldn’t. Green jasper seems fairly easy to find.
Glad to hear you've done well Colin. I love that location. Thanks for watching and hope you find that elusive wulfenite on your next trip.
great video. I can't wait to go out and collect some myself.
Love it.. I collect different stones when I go hiking..
Ah! This was awesome! As an aspiring geologist this was so educational. Sadly I wish I could get out in the field and have a dig around but I live an hour from Melbourne!
Thanks for watching. With a bit of research, you may be pleasantly surprised as to the variety of gemstones not too far from Melbourne. Cheers, Liz
I live in Norcal and the creek is dry behind my yard,a deep creek bed awaits, thanks! You've gotten me off my ass at last!
lol, I love the "Ghost Agate"!
GREAT video! I LOVE rocks, minerals, gemstones. Very well done....I just subscribed to your channel.Thank you for your knowledge, passion, effort and time!
Thanks for watching and subscribing Mike. Wishing you all the very best. Cheers , Liz
Wow! So many nice looking stones!💐
HEY LIZ I HOPE YOUR'E HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME DURING YOUR LIFE QUEST OF GEM HUNTING!!! I DON'T KNOW IF YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS BUT YOUR PIECE OF UNAKITE IS ACTUALLY REVEALING TO ME THAT IT IS A DEFINITE ARTIFACT. GO LOOK AT THE PIC AND THE STONE WHERE YOU'LL SEE EXACTLY WHAT I'M REFERRING TO! HOPE THIS WAS OF GOOD NEWS IF YOU DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW!
The white egg rock at 1:42 is what caught my eye. :)
love All you do Liz and Boss....Thanks for sharing and Educating..Is there a process how yoy pick and find your locations or word of mouth and many other ways
All of the above Michele and a little bit more. :-) It's really as simple as that. How we get there is another story of course. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Liz
:) thanks
Great channel! I see a lot of what we find in Minnesota, USA. The commentary gets me inspired to get out and go rock hounding! 🥾

SOME REALLY NICE FINDS
Love watching your videos Liz and I have some Jaspers an Wood in my area in California
I have seen many such stone but I never considered about these stones, now I will search for precious stones,i live in mountainous area
JASPER/RED JASPER
Type: Sedimentary rock
Feature: Red color; opaque with clear, white, or black veins or spots
Some discovery spot: Worldwide
This rock (Jasper) got its name from its spots and stripes. The word jasper means, "spotted stone" on Greek. Polished jasper is used to make fancy jewelry or carved into sculpture. Because it is so hard, humans long ago used jasper to make cups, bowls, and knives
Holy cow! They destroy the jaspers from homeworld back then?!
❤️ Wow! Fantastic learning. 👍 Thank you.
So cool!! You are lucky to have someone that likes to hunt too! You made me smile when you said the sparkly shiny thing. Sounded like me! 😜 I’m always looking at the ground seeing if I can spot something sparkly. I’m jealous of your adventures there!!
Please can we have more gem stone hunting in creeks and examples of where you would find certain stones just like you do in the dry creek beds etc etc love watch you vlogs ;) it's awesomeness much health, love and light to ALL (gal from oz)
This is so interesting! I guess it's an activity best done at first daylight in the morning, so it won't be that hot. Rocks hold onto heat, making it even hotter I guess. Will keep watching your videos and learn! :)
Hi Michaela, Nothing better than fresh gemstones from the river for breakfast. :-) Unfortunately, like most of the places we go prospecting, this place is far from where we live. By the time we get there, it was already lunchtime. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Liz
I love your knowledge. Ive learned so much from you.
I'm so glad you find my videos useful. Thanks for watching and have a Happy New Year.
Jasper, and Jasper, and Jasper haha this is awesome!
what a lovely fun way to spend the day, some great finds there. what I wouldn't do to feel the sun on my back. it's winter here in the UK and it's cold ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄

I found 2 amazing jasper stones in my backyard while digging to plant a tree.

Loved this video! ❤️❤️❤️
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.🥰
I really love your video, it inspired me to start hunting for rocks again, since i did it as a child, but stopped because i didn't actually know anything about what interesting stones there were here and what could be found. I actually live in the kangaroo valley area, and i've been dying to know what spots you were searching around at in the video!! I'd love have to have a look myself, or at least know what to look for in order to find a good spot in the area to find interesting stones. Thank you very much for the amazing video!!
Thanks for watching Pine Cone and glad to know you're enjoying my videos. The area in the video is the river at upper Kangaroo Valley, upstream from Hampden Bridge. Explore areas where you can see concentration of rocks and it will have some form of semi precious gems among them. Good luck and Happy Hunting. All the best, Liz
Thank you!! I really appreciate it :)
Me too I collect rock as a kid in the Virginia mountains
I just found your videos, Salamat Po! I am able to learn so much about fossicking watching them. If you ever need and extra Beast of Burden...
Thanks for watching and glad to know you're enjoying my videos. All the best, Liz
Wow Very Nice One.👍
Very interesting and beautiful finds!!!
Beginner here. For identification purposes please give a good shot of the rocks. You briefly showed some chalcedony so fast I couldn’t really see it.
I believe that she is intelligent person to know rocks names or crystals
Really interesting video, I'm now thinking of going on a stone hunt myself.
We have like that here in our river hope you can help us how to know some more thanks for your video
Most of the rocks or similar ones that can be found are in my videos. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Liz
Liz Thank you! really for giving such wonderful video every time i search for serious gemstone hunting your name appears i think you are one of the rarest you tubers who are serious about this, i love watching you collecting rocks teaching us valuable information specifically when you find sapphires and shout it happily :D. can I ask what is the best gemstone or rock that you have found so far that made you happy the most??
All of them makes me so happy when I find them but the colours of the Opals stays in my heart. Thanks for watching. Cheers Liz

Lots of nice finds there. Really nice Wulfenite. Love watching you and Wally hunt rocks and such. Tell Pedro hi! :-)
It sure is a nice place for gem hunting Mike. We barely scratch the surface from this area. Pedro says, "Hi Mike." Thanks for the comment. Cheers, Liz

Good morning thanks for the sharing vedio in your chanel from tanza cavite philippines
Thanks for watching. Ingat po kayo dyan.
You are really good. I picked up a large rock in the seauior forest camping trip by the river that appeared not to belong where it was located. I wish I knew what it is. I looks to me like yellow jasper. The size of a loaf of bread.it has a polish texture. A 10 on the hardness.
I'll come and visit Pedro and go rock finding!
Great video, learnt a lot 🌻
Thanks for sharing! I really enjoy these videos.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching. Cheers, Liz
I live in Los Angeles and spend a lot of time in the local mountains. I often go to Angeles Forest, Mount Wilson/Mount Lowe area. I just came back from the Simi Hills, which are beautiful but almost all sandstone. I love to collect rocks at beached along the coast as well. What would I find around here? I have a HUGE mystery rock collection. I will make a video, maybe you will know what some of them are. Keep up your great show!
Me to I have a mystery Rock also
Jessica Chortkoff hi good day can you identify some crystal stone good day
