- Comments to the media by Ambassador Al-Harith Idriss Al-Harith, Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Sudan, on the situation in the Country at the Security Council Stakeout.
Commenting on the recent IPC report on Sudan's food insecurity, the country’s Ambassador Al-Harith Idriss Al-Harith said, “The report did not clearly mention any adequate indicators of famine in Sudan. We believe that the data collection by IPC from the States occupied by the RSF militia is unreliable and unconvincing.”
The Sudanese Ambassador spoke to reporters today (28 Jun) in New York.
He said that the IPC report is “merely depending on old data from UN agencies and organizations.”
Ambassador Al-Harith also said, “Our recommendations are accordingly we agree with the report that there are people who are in need of food. An intervention more than others should be supported to protect them from falling into famine or experiencing dire famine. More than 8.1 million people are displaced in the States under the government control should be supported because they can easily be provided, have access to aid.”
He concluded, “If we open specific border between Chad and Sudan, this will be opening Pandora's box because there will be smuggling of arms to the area controlled by the RSF militia in that area and the Sudanese armed forces do not have any checkpoints in that area.”
A new report released on Thursday (27 Jun) by Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) stated that fourteen months into the conflict, Sudan is facing the worst levels of acute food insecurity ever recorded by in the country, with over half of the population (25.6M people) facing crisis or worse conditions (IPC Phase 3 or above) between June and September 2024, coinciding with the lean season. This includes 755,000 people in Catastrophe (IPC Phase 5) in 10 states including Greater Darfur (all five states), South and North Kordofan, Blue Nile, Al Jazirah, and Khartoum. Another 8.5M people (18 percent of the population) face Emergency (IPC Phase 4).
UAE 🇦🇪 is to be held accountable for all of this crimes.

I was very sad when I read the article of a famous British newspaper, the government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain said that the rulers of African countries did not condemn the UAE for what is happening in Sudan.

The bizarre thing is, Europe cry about illegal immigration; when their ancestors took advantage of African.
Fundamentals to development must be given to Africans, so that Europeans can live without crying.
In Africa there is a lot of military conflict, in particular in Sudan this is very true. Giving them anything doesn't help because they cannot put it to use in these unsafe areas. Stop the war. All of Sudan is going through a devastating famine, hunger, displacement and loss, even the cities in the east and north.

The answer is simply for the IC and the UN to prevent the UAE support for this militias.
All the mentioned camps were displaced by Sudan government not by RSF
