  • Heading to P08 (Coolidge, AZ) for breakfast this morning. I passed my friends flying a Piper Archer. It really shows just how fas the Lancair truly is.
And someone in a Hummelbird flying the wrong way in the pattern. No lights, no radio, no cares about proper procedures or safety. Shows why you need to stay vigilant when landing at non-towered airports.

Coolidge can get a bit confusing, with some pilots choosing a runway based on a 3-knot, 4-degree crosswind, with little regard for the calm-wind preferred runway or what the last 4 pilots just did. I enjoy how well attended the breakfast is there and how many interesting pilots and aircraft show up, but one has to be very alert to deal with some days into and out of there. Thanks for the quick and fun video.

The oncoming pilot later sat and ate breakfast with you? How did he explain not watching adsb traffic flow?

I had an incident like that happen to me over 35 years ago at my local airport. The other pilot was flying upwind in a downwind leg. I was counting rivets when he passed, and I was tempted to tell the other pilot that he needed to brush his teeth. We were close!
