Give you a hint - the butterfly straps - yea, they need to go over the top and not under the rebar. I'm sure someone else secured your load, but they didn't do you any favors.
Lucky you for parking at a truck stop and shower too. Our dispatcher doesn't allow us to trip plan and end up at a truck stop. So I go a week with ot a shower. NY dispatcher sucks!
I would of thrown five cinch/choke wrap chains...two front two top section near the 4x4s and one at the end...u might need two chains on each wrap in order to reach around the load..the rest use straps.....Ive seen them rebars go thru the truck with only straps....remember friction will slice thru those straps like butter...
Don't care what they taught you or who told you what, belly wraps with straps or chains are worthless for stopping forward movement. All they do is protect from sideways movement, and cinching the product closer together which can be problematic unless they put in vertical spacers. Best thing he could have done to protect from from forward movement was to have them load it another foot to the rear which would have left room to build a false bulkhead on the front.
@@Joe-pd9hj yes a bulk head was also necessary....cinching not only prevents from side movement but also forward movement....you got something to learn their bud....when forward movement is applied to a cinch it will tighten/choke the load more.....

The belly raps should do the same thing as a chock chain.
But I would put a third one in the middle.
You're lucky they didn't require tarps.

You have to pound down all of the wires, so they won't poke holes in the tarps. It's a pain. I use a small sledgehammer.
No Bulk Head , Not One Chain for a Belly Wrap, No Rubber Mat Protectors between Straps and Rebar, Old Mud Flaps work good, Otherwise, Great.
