I need to try those azure jars! Ball jars at Walmart are actually 16.44 so those are the same pretty much! I'm currently testing the mainstays brand of half gallons since they are $12.

I absolutely love freeze dried apples. Here soon I'm gonna try freeze dried melons and cucumbers and zucchini and squash. Actually I'm gonna freeze dry my whole garden this year
Thank you for sharing what you get with your order from Azure. I have a dehydrator and I wish I had a freeze dryer because I am absolutely obsessed with eating and snacking on freeze dried apples. Can you get freeze dried apples from Azure?
You can't get freeze dried apple chips, but you can purchase dehydrated apple chips, which are also delicious!
Hi! Quick question. why don't you use soy sauce? Is coconut amminos healthier? I know nothing about coconut amminos.
We prefer the coconut aminos because of the flavor and most of the soy grown in the US is genetically modified. We may be able to find brands that are not GMO, but we just prefer the coconut aminos.
@TheHappyHomestead this but also, it has way less ingredients and all can be pronounced and understood
I have not used Azure jars because I have heard their measurements were not consistent. (A quart doesn't measure 4cups, a pint doesn't measure 2cups, etc). Have you found them to be accurate? It is not overly important for all things, but it is for some.
It's so interesting you mentioned this...because as I was filling up my gallon of milk into my 2 half gallon jars, the milk didn't fit into the 2 jars. I needed to get another small jar, and I've never had that happen with the Ball jars. So I do think I'll use the Azure only for storage.
The price is so ridiculously low so I'd still use it for things that don't need to be measured specifically
Can I ask how you you store your apples
Since the weather is warmer right now, I have them in a bag, in our spare refrigerator. I take out 4-5 at a time and put in our fruit basket. But I have found they store very well in the fridge.

Just as long as you don't call them "taters", however you pronounce potatoes is fine with me. I cringe when adults call them "taters". 🤪
