Just purchased an Aramid Limitless 4.0 for my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Mous is the best case I ever used for an iPhone, and I’ve used many across 12 years of owning iPhones.
You, it’s because of you, that yesterday I purchased my 4th Mous case!! I need to stop watching you videos 🤣!! My experience with Mous cases has been great. To the ones reading this, from aramid, clarity and bamboo, the aramid fiber case is the best case I had; Elegant, great drop protection (in my experience), anti-scratch protection, feels great at hand. I’m having iPhone 13 pro max in a few days and I purchased again the carbon fiber. Really love that case.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience, @Dark Knight931. And sorry for luring you into buying so many Mous cases 😂. They really are nice products. I think the leather may be my favorite, but they are all nice! And the new Infinity for the 13 Pro is particularly good.
Hi Ms Kristin thank you so much for this video I really appreciate you showing the MagSafe accessories and the mous accessories! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the review! I expected the camera lip to be just a little bit bigger IMO, have you had any troubles in real life usage when laying on the table? And since it’s not as raised as other cases, does it still wobble when you press down on the opposite end?
Hi Darren! Yeah...the camera lip isn't huge, but it is sufficient. Slightly better than the iPhone 13 version. I don't feel nervous about my camera when using the case. However, yes...it does wobble a bit. I've noticed that with all the 13 Pro Max cases so far. However, it is a very small wobble and I haven't found it to be irritating.
Hi @CeilingGang! Which OtterBox case are you talking about? If you are talking about the OtterBox Defender, then that is probably going to provide equal or better protection than the Mous Limitless 4.0, but it is going to be much, much bigger and not nearly as beautifiul. No case is going to provide 100% protection to your phone, but the Limitless 4.0 is going to provide quite a lot of protection...hopefully enough to survive you! The one thing you might want to keep in mind, however, is that the OtterBox Defender is probably going to give you more grip. The Limitless 4.0 does tend to be a bit on the slippery side...If that is a concern and you still want to go with the Mous case, you should choose the Speckled Fabric version of the Limitless 4.0. It is the most grippy of all the Limitless 4.0 cases. Hope this helps!
Hi Saul! Yeah, it had a lovely premium feel. But I think it was making the whole case back thicker, and that was perhaps lessening the strength of the magnets. That's my theory, anyway...
Hi Jim! I am a big fan of screen protectors and would recommend using one with pretty much any case, but the fact that the Mous Limitless 4.0 has a lower lip in the middle of the case makes a screen protector a bit more necessary than with some cases. The high bottom and top lips help a lot, as far as screen protection is concerned, but having a screen protector just gives you that extra peace of mind. A tempered glass screen protector is going to give you excellent scratch protection and looks and feels pretty much the same as your naked iPhone screen. If impact protection is your major concern, however, you might want to go with a specialized polymer screen protector like the Mous Hybrid or the RhinoShield Impact Protection Screen Protector. They don't have quite the fantastic look and feel of a good tempered glass screen protector, but they are going to provide a lot more impact protection. That much said, I think there is a lot of personal preference here. My husband typically goes around with no screen protector at all, and while his phones do manage to pick up a few scratches over a several year period, they overall fare quite well in their screen protector free life! And he has never cracked a screen either. So, if you are OK with your screen getting scratched, and don't typically drop your phone, then the no screen protector lifestyle might be fine for you. Hope this helps!
Hi Charlie! Thanks so much for your kind words...I hope you love the case! I haven't seen the leather case for the 13 Pro Max yet, but the leather version for the 13 Pro is quite nice 😀 Thanks for watching!
Would you recommend this over the Dbrand case? I’m contemplating which one would be better, I do want a good amount of protection but comfort is important too, I heard Dbrand have way better grip and comfort but not sure how well they are with protection. Any advice on what to go for?
@@TheTechReviewer I am in the same place as @Faisaan - I'm trying to decide between these two brands as well. I'll give you a follow in case you do a comparison :)
The Tech Reviewer That’s really sweet of you, thank you and appreciate it but don’t worry, I ordered it 3 weeks ago and it came today. When I set my phone up tomorrow I’ll let you know how it is :) Fingers crossed, it does look promising, case looks amazing and feels amazing 🤩
Hi Muhammad! Both are very good cases, but have a lot of differences: * Price: the SolidSuit is half the price of the Limitless 4.0. * Protection: The RhinoShield SolidSuit has a stated drop rating of over 11 feet, whereas the Mous Limitless 4.0 does not have a stated drop rating…Mous just says it provides ’extreme protection’. * Size: the Limitless 4.0 and the SolidSuit are very similar in height and width, but the SolidSuit a little thicker overall. * Grip: The two cases have similar grip on the sides, but for the back, Mous has some grippier options such as the Speckled Fabric. The grippiest option that the RhinoShield SolidSuit has is the Carbon Fiber Finish, and that is not as grippy as the Mous Limitless 4.0 Speckled Fabric. * Lip: As far as lip is concerned, the RhinoShield SolidSuit has more rear camera protection, but less overall lip around the screen. * Installation and removal: The RhinoShield SolidSuit is harder to install and remove from the phone as compared with the Mous Limitless 4.0. * Customization: The Mous Limitless 4.0 comes in five variants: Black Leather, Aramid Fibre, Walnut, Bamboo, and Speckled Fabric. The RhinoShield SolidSuit comes in real leather and wood backed options, but its ‘Carbon Fiber Finish’ is not real carbon fiber or aramid fiber…just textured polymer. And the brushed steel finish for the SolidSuit is also a faux finish. However, the SolidSuit is available in tons of graphic designs as well as five different base colors, and there is also the option to switch out the button colors very easily and inexpensively for a pop of color Hope this helps!!
Great review! Quick question, I'm between the speckled fabric you just reviewed and the black leather one for the Iphone 13 Pro (not Max). Which would be the tradeoffs, and which would you recommend? Thanks!
Hi Imanol! The leather looks classier. It has a pebbled texture, and gives you a little bit of grip. The speckled fabric has a kind of tacky, non slip feel to it. No idea how it will wear over time. The speckled fabric case has more grip overall, but depending on how tight your pockets are, it may not slide very easily in and out of your pocket. Hope this helps!
As always, awesome review. But I’m wondering, does popsockets sticks well on the surface of the mous speckled case? I love the design but I can’t not have popsockets on my phone. Thank you so much!! Love your channel.
Hi @A. Just reposting my reply from the other video you commented in, so you don't miss it: "Thanks so much for your kind comment. My guess would be that the Speckled Fabric wouldn't work that well with a PopSocket over time. I just tried sticking one on, and although it seems to stick on OK initially, I think over time it might loosen. Plus, it might leave a mark on the Speckled Fabric. Finally, it will keep you from using the MagSafe functionality of the Limitless 4.0 case, which is a major downside in my opinion."
hi, may you share what the weight of this case? i love my iphone xs mous case..but the case is too heavy...i wonder if i changed to iphone 13pro max...will the case bcome more heavier compare to iphone xs version.. thanks 🙏
Hi Steve! Mous has not published the weight of its Limitless 4.0 cases yet, and I don't have a sensitive enough scale to help you out. The iPhone Xs is a much smaller phone than the 13 Pro Max, so 13 Pro Max cases are going to be heavier as a result. However, the construction of the new Limitless 4.0 cases is lighter weight than the old Limitless 2.0 and Limitless 3.0 cases, so it might not be as heavy as you are expecting...
Fantastic review, as always! How would you compare the speckled one to the iPhone 11 version? I just upgraded and I was wondering if it’s the same kind of texture as the iPhone 11 case.
Hi Ashley! Congrats on the new phone! Which model did you get? As to your question, for the iPhone 11, I think you are referring to the Speckled Leather, which was a different material. It was a nubbly textured, treated leather that had a good amount of grip as a result. The Speckled Fabric is a PU coated fabric, not leather at all, and it doesn't have the textured feel of the Speckled Leather...it is more of a slightly tacky, grippy feel, but the surface itself is smooth. It is probably slightly grippier than the Speckled Leather, but not quite as interesting looking because it lacked that textured appearance. I liked the Speckled Leather and was sorry that Mous removed it from their lineup.
@@TheTechReviewer I upgraded to the 13 pro max in sierra blue and I am loving it! I’m sorry to hear that the material changed and so grateful for you telling me. It makes me a little more reluctant to dish out $60 on the case. I just loved the speckled leather on the iPhone 11 case so much.
Hi Ashley! Congrats on the Sierra Blue Pro Max!! Such a gorgeous phone. And yes...so sad about the demise of the Speckled Leather. I guess my favorite would now be the Aramid Fiber, but it isn't going to be as grippy as the Speckled Leather was...
I finally pulled the trigger on getting this case and I’m so grateful for you telling me it is different and I didn’t go into it thinking I was getting the same thing I had for my IPhone 11. The other thing I wish they would have done is some sort of soft lining inside and made the buttons a little easier to use. I’ll always use Mous cases because they are so protective and look great. Thanks again!
I ordered the walnut for the 13 pro max. Shipping and processing times are crazy though. Can’t wait to get mine. Trying to find a drop tested solid case the 13 pro max has not been easy. A lot of them do not have enough protection on the back camera.
is it truly as thin as they say it is? i need protection but i hate phone cases that are too bulky. i love slim designs with good protection. does this one do that?
I’ve had their cases on my XS max and 13pro max and they’re phenomenal cases. The 4.0 is definitely a thin case, especially for how protective it is compared to something like the otter box defender
Hi JohnCena2011!Thin is such a subjective term 😂. Sure, for a protective case, it is thin. As Curtis says, it is much thinner than an OtterBox Defender. However, it is going to be thicker than an Apple Leather Case, for example... Definitely a great case, however!
I think so...but keep in mind that I am basing that info on the iPhone 12 Pro Limitless 4.0 case. I don't have the current Limitless 4.0 case in leather. And yes...I will try to get a hold of some of their new MagSafe charging accessories! Thanks for watching!
Hi Kelvin! The Speckled Fabric is the grippiest by far. The Aramid Fibre comes in second place, and then I would say Leather (although I haven't seen the leather this year, so I'm basing that on last year's models), and finally the two wood variants. The sides of the case have a little bit of texture, and this makes them non-slippery...but I wouldn't call them grippy...
@@TheTechReviewer I’m currently using an iphone 8 plus and using otterbox symmetry case and the back feels slippery, sometimes it will slide off my hands if I don’t grip it properly. May I know whether the mous aramid fibre will have better handling? I’m planning on upgrading to iphone 13 pro max.
As far as I remember, the texture on the back of OtterBox's Symmetry cases improved in 2018 with the Xs Max and XR, so your iPhone 8 Plus Symmetry is probably the old version which was less textured. Also, if it was a clear Symmetry case, or one with the graphics, then it was probably even slipperier. Comparing cases across such a time divide is hard, but I think you would find the Speckled Fabric to be grippier than your current 8 Plus Symmetry, but I'm not sure about the Aramid Fibre...I wouldn't go with the Walnut or Bamboo...those are definitely slipperier!
Hey Kristin, does the lip around the camera bump sufficiently protect the camera lenses. I noticed with the limitless 4.0 for the 12 pro max the camera lens would make contact with the surface you place the phone on. tested it by resting the phone on a soft cloth and looking for the indent of the camera lens which i did notice. Didn't experience this with the nomad case though. Do love the build quality of the mous case and will definitely grab one if this issue no longer exist.
Hi Anthony! If the surface that the phone is lying on is smooth and flat, you will have sufficient protection. If the surface is bumpy/uneven, there might be issues. There is a rim around the camera area, but it is not that high. For me, it is sufficient. But for people whose phones live more exciting lives, I could potentially see issues...However, you always have the option to put the phone lying on its front...there is a high lip on the front bottom and top, and that should protect your screen well... Hope this helps!
I actually came here to say that the camera protection leaves a lot to be desired! It is one grain of sand on a table away from scratch-able. It's my biggest critique, and I may dump the mous case because of it.
Hi Nick. I think that would have to be a pretty big grain of sand…but I agree that it is not a terribly high lip. Fine for some lifestyles..:not sufficiently protective for others, I guess. Really sorry the Limitless 4 isn’t working out for you…
I think Uag is best overall, Im using since a few years the Lumee duo never had trouble with added front and back led light, not so impressed with the limitless 3 on the s 22 ultra very slippery and no lanyard hole, for 50usd will opt for the Uag monarch kevlar.
Hi James! No experience with the S22 version of the Limitless...can't really comment. Hope you love your UAG Monarch--that is a great iPhone case, so I imagine it should be a good S22 case as well! Thanks for watching!
Hi Paul! Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I really haven't seen any cases with serious back camera protection so far this year...I have a strong preference for MagSafe cases and most MagSafe cases tend to be a bit skimpy on rear camera protection because the back of the case can't be too thick. (That's my guess, anyway.) Looking at the pictures of the 13 Pro Max OtterBox Defender case (non MagSafe), it looks like it has pretty good rear camera protection, but I don't have the case myself, so I can't tell for sure...
Hi @Machu! From my understanding, the case is made from a combination of polycarbonate, TPU, Mous's special impact protective material called Airoshock, and then the Aramid Fibre back panel. There are several different options for the back panel material: leather, aramid fibre, speckled fabric and two kinds of wood. How exactly the aramid fibre back panel is constructed, I really don't know. I don't think it is very thick. I believe a large part, and perhaps the majority, of the protectiveness of the case comes from the Airoshock, TPU and polycarbonate frame of the case. Hope this helps!
I have 2 Mous cases on my iPhone XS and XS MAX and i can tell you for sure they fit way way more tight than this. I'm afraid the Mous case is not as protective on these rectangular shaped iPhones. Which is sad because i just love this case on my XS.
Hi @YouSurfin! So, the fit on the round sided phones like the Xs and Xs Max is different than on the square sided iPhone 13 series. But I honestly don't feel that it is any less secure...just different, due to the shape of the phone. Thanks so much for watching, and so happy you are loving your Mous cases!!
@@TheTechReviewer I already ordered the aramid fibre with a spigen privacy screen protector and camera protector. And im really looking forwards to the mous folio wallet when I have saved up enough to afford it after the iphone 13 purchase 😆
Is the internal lining a different material from the iPhone 12 Pro version or is it just different artwork? Are the magnets stronger? I see it now has the magsafe symbol vs. the circle on the 12 pro.
Hi! The material on the interior of the Limitless 4.0 case for the 12 series phones and the 13 series phones is the same...just the design is different. It is a hard plastic. As far as magnetic connectivity, I think it is approximately the same...maybe slightly stronger for the iPhone 13 Pro Max version...
Hi @Rcinematic! Sometimes the Limitless 4.0 cases are a little bent, but they straighten right up when you put them on the phone. However, I think it looks a lot more bent because of the difference in the lip between the top and bottom lips (high) and the middle of the side lip (low). This design provides protection for the screen while not feeling so thick in the hand, and making side to side swiping easier…
I don't think so. Mous doesn't publish any data on that, and as far as I can tell, the different variants feel more or less the same weight. That back panel where the leather/aramid fibre/wood is is pretty thin...it's not going to make such a huge difference in the case weight...
Wow! That's really slow. I'm sorry!! Have you reached out to Mous? On the positive side, I can tell you that I have the Aramid Fibre Lim4 on my 13 Pro right now and it is just lovely. So you definitely have something to look forward to!
@@TheTechReviewer So, I ended up buying a silicone Apple case while I waited. And the Mous one just came in the other day. And though I do like aramid fiber case, I think I like the apple case better. Just has more grip and feels better in my hand. We’ll see! Thanks for the great reviews
The Silicone Apple Case has great grip and a slim hand feel…no question! It’s not going to be as protective as the Mous Limitless 4.0, but not everyone needs that level of everyday protection….
Hey everybody! I have a decision problem. I am thinking about getting the midnight silicon case from apple for my iphone 13 pro max silver, or the mous limitless 4.0 speckled. I would love to take the mous, but i am worried that the already big 13 pro max will get a little too chunky with a mous case. I can nowhere find information on how thick the cases are. Does anyone have some information about the thickness of those cases, especially on the sides? I am thankfull for any information. Have a great day guys :)
Hi Martin! Mous hasn't published any information on the dimensions of their 13 Pro Max Limitless 4.0 cases. I can tell you that they are going to be larger than the Apple Leather Case...I assume the same is true for the Apple Silicone Case. I featured the Limitless 4.0 and the Apple Leather Case in a video showing how they fit on the 13 Pro Max--you might find it helpful: th-cam.com/video/BL2_L7Qh6mM/w-d-xo.html
Hei guys! Name is Stefan and I only have Mous cases for my phone. Bamboo, walnut, black leather and had two other Limitless 3.0 cases for my previous iphone XS Max. The interesting thing I keep seeing in all of these review videos of the Mous limitless 4.0 are not genuine when it come to the buttons! Love the case overall, but the buttons really messed up the experience for me. They were very clickable on previous models of the limitless cases, but not the 4.0 model! Very little clickable and hard buttons on this new model. I sort of hate using the new 4.0 cases because of the freakin’ buttons! That’s why I switched to Rhinoshield this time. It’s a shame! I bought 3 ( 4.0 Limitless cases) and I can’t freakin’ use them.
Hi Stefan! Sorry to hear that you aren't happy with your Limitless 4.0 cases! Is it the volume buttons or the side button or both that are problematic? I find the side buttons on my Limitless 4.0 cases to be very good, but the volume buttons are slightly stiffer, for some reason. The volume buttons get used much less than the side button, however, so I don't find it to be a big issue...
First! How are Mous tempered glass? The Spigen one after a year, the oleophobic coating wears even with care, how does it compare? I was laughing so hard when you said the wallet was ugly looking, which it really is, lol. They copied otterbox’s MagSafe wallet for the 12 line.
Tempered glass is meant to be consumable. If you get a year out of it without it breaking, I’d say you definitely got your moneys worth. In my experience mous glass has been pretty good, but I swear by Flolab NanoArmour.
Hi Mark! Thanks so much for being first!! I've had one experience with the Mous tempered glass screen protector...last year, I think. It was fine, but the install process was slower because of no installer. It comes in a two pack, however, which is nice. I can't speak to the longevity, however, because I never keep my screen protectors for that long (always got to move on to the next one to review!). And yeah...that wallet is no beauty queen. I shook my head when I unboxed it. Very practical, though. In contrast, their magsafe card wallet is a superstar. Love that product! Thanks for watching!!
Hi @Christopher! Glad to hear of your positive experience with FloLab NanoArmour. I've heard good things about their screen protectors, but have no personal experience with them...

this case is rubish, sorry I say that . you know why ? on the minuts : 5:47 you can see why ? the ptotection of the camera is very narow ! if you drop it or when you put it on your pocket, its scratch your camera lenses ! it must be more thicker because the iphone 13 lenses are so big !!! all of the cases I saw have the same problems because all of them design for Iphone 12 and then they change them for 13 ! it is a bad choice for safety ... :( I will be glade if you show me a thick camera protection case with magsafe that I imidiatley buy it ... thanks .
I hear you, Mehr. In general, cases for the 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max have fairly low rims around their camera openings. I'm not quite sure why...I'm guessing that the case manufacturers were just trying to keep the cases as slim as possible. They definitely redesigned their cases for the iPhone 13 lineup...I have lots of cases for the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max and they most definitely won't fit on the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. I guess they may have underestimated the height of the camera. The Limitless 4.0 isn't terrible...it does have a lip...but some people want greater protection. Unfortunately, I don't have a case to recommend to you yet!
Hi Leon! My Mous case is just a tiny more to one side than the other in the cutout around the ear speaker as well. TBH, I don't think I would have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out. It is a pretty tiny amount!
@@TheTechReviewer thanks for taking time to reply! I’ve had 2 cases from Mous, both same issue, it’s a once you see it can’t be unseen issue. Certainly fairly obvious to my eyes, maybe the deep bumper makes it stand out more, I have had to return cases and move on for now.
Hi Jessie! No, they are not. From Mous's help pages: "We usually only recommend using a clean damp cloth, soaked in warm water to clean your case. However, in light of COVID-19, please follow the steps below to disinfect your case: Gently wipe the surfaces of your case with an alcohol-free anti-bacterial wipe, or alternatively, lightly dampen a microfibre cloth with water and gentle household soap to use instead. We strongly advise against using anything containing alcohol or other harsh chemicals, which may damage both your case and your phone itself. Once you have wiped down your case, make sure to then dry it carefully with a clean microfibre cloth. If you have a Leather case or wallet, take special care to wipe gently and dry carefully when cleaning, as prolonged exposure to moisture could damage the Leather and cause it to darken."
I hear you!! What about UV sanitizers? Those might help. One case company which has promoted its products compatibility with sanitizing wipes is OtterBox. You might want to check their stuff out…www.otterbox.com/en-us/how-to-clean-your-phone-case.html
Why do people not care about a high lip around the screen & only the camera bump?? Why aren’t all these expensive cases built with more lip?? I want to try other cases besides Otter Box Defenders (& others made exactly like it), but I’m too chicken. I don’t want a cracked screen.🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️💀
Hi F.J.! I hear you! I think the Mous Limitless design, with high bottom and top lips and a low lip in the middle for an illusion of thinness, is a pretty decent design. It allows you to have quite a bit of screen protection while not feeling so thick. Have you broken your screen in the past? Or are you just nervous that you might in future?
Hi Xiaobin Lu! I’m surprised you are finding the buttons to be troublesome…mine are fine. As for the non rounded edges, I think Mous is following the iPhone 13 series squared off, flat edge design. What back panel variant did you get? And for which phone?
@@TheTechReviewer i think they are all the same except the back material. i picked leather for 13 pro max. i was using spigen mag air armor(liked that case as well, great build quality except weak magnets). i had no problem with the box edge without case, but this case sharp edge just feels weird. i really hate the button. stiff and hard hard to press. i was using rebel phone gen 2 case on my 12 pro max and really liked the case, strong magnets and effortless clicky buttons. since i upgraded this year, they dont make 13 pro max cases any more. i picked this one. mous lowered side lips for back swipe but not the bottom part for swiping home. i don’t understand. its allover a good case, but maybe not worth the price in my opinion.
I wonder if there is something wrong with your buttons? My 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max Limitless 4 don’t have that issue, but none of them are the leather version…
Not that you should have to do this with a new case, but with some cases, when they have stiff buttons, it really helps to take the case off and then wiggle the buttons on the case back and forth for a while to loosen them up. Might be worth a try, and less of a pain than returning the case. Good luck, Xiaobin Lu!
Yep...$45 is not a small amount of money. But you have to think about how much the phone costs as well, I guess. If you don't have AppleCare+, then you want to be sure to protect your super expensive phone sufficiently...

Thanks so much for sharing your experience, @Dark Knight931. And sorry for luring you into buying so many Mous cases 😂. They really are nice products. I think the leather may be my favorite, but they are all nice! And the new Infinity for the 13 Pro is particularly good.

Hi Ryan! That's interesting! I don't have any control over what ads are presented with my videos 😂
Hey! Should i choose this case or otterbox? I am really clumsy so dont want to break my phone this week
One thing I really liked from there past generations was how it had that felt material on the inside , I really wish they would bring that back
Hi Saul! Yeah, it had a lovely premium feel. But I think it was making the whole case back thicker, and that was perhaps lessening the strength of the magnets. That's my theory, anyway...
Waiting for my aramid fiber case to come in the mail! Should be here Tuesday 😀
Super exciting stuff, Mike! Hope you love it!!! Is this for the 13 Pro Max?
Kristin, would you recommend a screen protector be used with this case, or does the case warrant going without?
Awesome review. I enjoyed this review from you. I bought the leather case today for my new iphone 13 pro max. I hope it is a great case.
Hi Charlie! Thanks so much for your kind words...I hope you love the case! I haven't seen the leather case for the 13 Pro Max yet, but the leather version for the 13 Pro is quite nice 😀
Thanks for watching!
Would you recommend this over the Dbrand case? I’m contemplating which one would be better, I do want a good amount of protection but comfort is important too, I heard Dbrand have way better grip and comfort but not sure how well they are with protection. Any advice on what to go for?
Hi Faisaan! So sorry, but I have zero experience with Dbrand. Can't help you out there!

Which is better Rhinoshield SolidSuit or Mous Limitless 4.0 ?
Hi Muhammad! Both are very good cases, but have a lot of differences:
* Price: the SolidSuit is half the price of the Limitless 4.0.
However, the SolidSuit is available in tons of graphic designs as well as five different base colors, and there is also the option to switch out the button colors very easily and inexpensively for a pop of color
Hope this helps!!
@@TheTechReviewer thx Kristin 😬 in your opinion between Mous limitless & Rhinoshield solid suit case which one lighter ya?
Hi Steve! I think they are pretty similar...
Could the mous folio flip wallet be used with a different brand magsafe case? Or is a mous branded case required?
The Folio Flip Wallet is MagSafe compatible, so it should work with any MagSafe case...
I ordered the walnut for the 13 pro max. Shipping and processing times are crazy though. Can’t wait to get mine. Trying to find a drop tested solid case the 13 pro max has not been easy. A lot of them do not have enough protection on the back camera.
Hi Jordan! Hope you love your new Limitless 4.0 and that it comes more quickly than you expect!!
Speckled facbric ar armid fiber which is your favourite?
Probably Aramid Fibre, because it looks and feels so lovely, but the Speckled Fabric is going to give you a lot more grip...
Hi, are magnets bare or is there something covering them so they don't touch the back of the phone directly?
Hi @Rubs83! The magnets are embedded in the case, underneath the plastic back. They do not touch the phone. Thanks for watching!!
Thx for another through review Kristin 🙂 appreciate ya. 👍🏻
My pleasure, Richard!!Thanks so much for your loyal support!! ❤️
is it truly as thin as they say it is? i need protection but i hate phone cases that are too bulky. i love slim designs with good protection. does this one do that?
I’ve had their cases on my XS max and 13pro max and they’re phenomenal cases. The 4.0 is definitely a thin case, especially for how protective it is compared to something like the otter box defender
Hi JohnCena2011!Thin is such a subjective term 😂. Sure, for a protective case, it is thin. As Curtis says, it is much thinner than an OtterBox Defender. However, it is going to be thicker than an Apple Leather Case, for example...
Definitely a great case, however!
Do you think the lip to protect the lenses for the 13 Pro will be sufficient?
For flat surfaces, sure. If you lay it on its back on uneven, jagged surfaces...that may be more problematic.
Is the texture on the sides different from the 12 Pro Max models? That was my only complaint about the Mous cases. A little too slippery.
Unfortunately, I don’t see any real difference in the side texture as compared with the Limitless 4.0 for the iPhone 12:-( Still not terribly grippy…
So you’re saying this case is grippier than the leather case?
Btw, would you also do a review of their magsafe charger and mounts?
I think so...but keep in mind that I am basing that info on the iPhone 12 Pro Limitless 4.0 case. I don't have the current Limitless 4.0 case in leather.
And yes...I will try to get a hold of some of their new MagSafe charging accessories!
Thanks for watching!
Hi! How’s the grip among all the three mous variants?
@@TheTechReviewer Alright! Thanks for the insightful information, I appreciate it very much!
Good luck with your case choice, Kelvin!!
5:50 …
It does not
Really glad you mentioned the lip, this was my concern too (active user here). Can you recommend something with a more generous camera lip?
Hi Paul! Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I really haven't seen any cases with serious back camera protection so far this year...I have a strong preference for MagSafe cases and most MagSafe cases tend to be a bit skimpy on rear camera protection because the back of the case can't be too thick. (That's my guess, anyway.)
Looking at the pictures of the 13 Pro Max OtterBox Defender case (non MagSafe), it looks like it has pretty good rear camera protection, but I don't have the case myself, so I can't tell for sure...
Great review :)
Thanks so much, Adam! So glad you enjoyed it!!
when they call the product "Aramid Fibre" are they implying that they have kevlar in the phone cases?
Hi Machu! That's right. Kevlar is a brand of Aramid Fibre, so this is basically generic Kevlar. Very strong, very lightweight.
@@TheTechReviewer well kevalr is weak on its own. does this mean that the kevlar in the phone case is also impregnated with resin?
Please do a comparison with your rhinoshield solidsuit. Tq!
I will try to do that soon:-)
Im some how more exited for the case than the iphone 13 im going to get when its available
😂 That's really funny! But yes...it's a pretty awesome case! Which variant are you getting? Aramid Fibre? Leather? Wood? Speckled Fabric?
@@TheTechReviewer I already ordered the aramid fibre with a spigen privacy screen protector and camera protector. And im really looking forwards to the mous folio wallet when I have saved up enough to afford it after the iphone 13 purchase 😆
The Aramid Fibre is a beautiful choice!! It’s my favorite of the Limitless cases
@@TheTechReviewer Okay. Thank you for the info!
I bought litimitless.4.0 speckled fabric 2 weeks ago and I got to admit it is a great case, but it is Way too slippery classic TPU case much grippier,
Hi Martin! So sorry about your case! I assume you are referring to the sides being slippery? Not the Speckled Fabric back?
Is the case bent or is the video distorted?
Hi @Rcinematic! Sometimes the Limitless 4.0 cases are a little bent, but they straighten right up when you put them on the phone. However, I think it looks a lot more bent because of the difference in the lip between the top and bottom lips (high) and the middle of the side lip (low). This design provides protection for the screen while not feeling so thick in the hand, and making side to side swiping easier…
Is there are weight differences between cases
I don't think so. Mous doesn't publish any data on that, and as far as I can tell, the different variants feel more or less the same weight. That back panel where the leather/aramid fibre/wood is is pretty thin...it's not going to make such a huge difference in the case weight...
Another great review Kristin. Once again the Mous Limitless really have produced a fantastic case. Expensive but good quality.
Thanks, Matthew! Yeah, Mous does good work. Solid cases!! Thanks for watching!! 😀

Wow! That's really slow. I'm sorry!! Have you reached out to Mous?
On the positive side, I can tell you that I have the Aramid Fibre Lim4 on my 13 Pro right now and it is just lovely. So you definitely have something to look forward to!

Love that product!

this case is rubish, sorry I say that . you know why ? on the minuts : 5:47 you can see why ? the ptotection of the camera is very narow ! if you drop it or when you put it on your pocket, its scratch your camera lenses ! it must be more thicker because the iphone 13 lenses are so big !!! all of the cases I saw have the same problems because all of them design for Iphone 12 and then they change them for 13 ! it is a bad choice for safety ...
Does anyone have image of how the case fits around earpiece area? I have this case just arrive, and the earpiece moulded area is not central.
Hi Leon! My Mous case is just a tiny more to one side than the other in the cutout around the ear speaker as well. TBH, I don't think I would have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out. It is a pretty tiny amount!

Hi Jessie! No, they are not. From Mous's help pages:
"We usually only recommend using a clean damp cloth, soaked in warm water to clean your case. However, in light of COVID-19, please follow the steps below to disinfect your case:
Gently wipe the surfaces of your case with an alcohol-free anti-bacterial wipe, or alternatively, lightly dampen a microfibre cloth with water and gentle household soap to use instead.

Or are you just nervous that you might in future?
dont like the case. the buttons are super stiff and hard to press… edge isn’t rounded as all.
@@TheTechReviewer ill contact them if its free to exchange. i really have to get out of my way to adjust the volume

Why would I pay $60 for this when I can lay $15 for a Spigen with the same thing?
Hi TR! I'm not sure you are really getting the 'same thing' with your $15 Spigen case...
@@TheTechReviewer I understand that. But I’m saying it’s going to be hard to pay $45 more for a “better” case.
Yep...$45 is not a small amount of money. But you have to think about how much the phone costs as well, I guess. If you don't have AppleCare+, then you want to be sure to protect your super expensive phone sufficiently...
$45 accessory for a $1600 phone isn’t too bad when you think about it.
