@@Whatisthis195 its a better idea than having a bottom-feeding boomer middlemen force markups for the end consumer in the name of "market adjustments".
Even if the prices were cut in half, then half again, most of these vehicles are still over priced. All of the brands especially, Stallantis has too many recalls, and the new vehicles are junk. Just remember that a longer a vehicle sits, there is no lubrication on the internal engine parts and the transmission and rest of the drive train. Also, the tires, will start to rot and get flat spots and the battery will start to degrade and the paint will start to dull and oxicide So when or if the vehicle is sold, the customer will not get a new vehicle or the parts will not be top notched anymore.
If they give in and lower prices once, they will never be able to go back to these outrageous prices again. They will crush unsold inventory and lose billions before doing that. They are willing to die on this hill.
Scumbags here in Las Vegas are asking 85k for a Raptor Ranger... the MSRP is 56k.... i laughed and just walked away. The salesman said "find me another one!". They couldnt even sell it because it was on the recall list...
Its funny some dealers understand the market and are adjusting prices to make sales. I had a Ford dealer locally say the best “discount” they could do on a 24 F-150 STX was $950. I drove 2 hours to SW illinois. Got $4,966 off and an extra $2,000 for my car AND a $1500 trade in rebate that my local dealer said “didn’t exist” Wild that some places just never learn
In middle of 2022 I was looking to purchase a work truck for my business. I originally wanted a 2022 Ford Maverick of which my buddy was able to get me friends/family discount. Well dealer didn’t want to honor that unless I ordered it. Buddy stated that’s not the process as he’s a Ford employee. Well I needed up purchasing a Toyota Tacoma at a Penske dealer and they took care of me at 100 off MSRP. Full disclosure there was aftermarket items on the vehicle like window tint and bedliner. I’ll do business with Penske for life now.
@ technically I got more off with all the extra stuff they put on it so. Besides all the other dealers were asking 5-15k over MSRP so yeah I got a good deal considering. And all the ad ones were going to put on by me anyways.
Those ‘stupid people’ are people who claim to be ‘responsible adults’ but yet, will fall for just about anything. Never ceases to amaze me how irresponsible people are these days, but again it’s no real surprise with the rampant stupidity and foolishness that runs amok in today’s society since everyone falls for anything you can think of. Come to think of it, adults aren’t really adults anymore since they are like a kid in a candy store who literally wants EVERYTHING and will push people out of their way to get anything.
It’s used car dealers too. I just seen a 2005 silverado with 160k miles they want 25k, it’s been for sale for 6 months, psychotic behavior right there.
There's a used car lot 1 block from my house. They had a 2009 Chevy trailblazer with 220k miles on it. Asking price was $9500. It sold in less than 1 week....and has not been repossessed and resold. Before covid cars regularly came back 5 and 6 times. Not now. I would love to see every new car dealer as well as used car lots to just...go away. Go out of business. I dont know which is more slimey....car dealerships or pharmaceutical companies?
In today's dollars, a model t would cost around $30k. A working person in 1915 could afford a model t. Ford has lost Henry's mission of producing an affordable vehicle for the masses.
Doesn’t matter if they take 30,000 off a 81000 truck.. is your job stable enough to warrant 72 monthly payments??? Only people buying now are businesses that can write off the interest on them, or well off people who pay cash. Normal working people that buy anything right now are crazy to buy in today’s economic climate …
Our local Sports Radio did a broadcast from a Jeep / Chrysler dealership the other day. It was hilarious hearing them try to talk positively about the cars on the lot.
What’s crazy is that their $150K price tag is damned near Bentley money. And for Bentley money, you can get the car absolutely ANY way that you want it so long as it is street legal. Makes me think my next vehicle will be a Bentley!
They build the higher trims because they charge 4x the cost for the added features, so profits go up. Saw this years ago on a VW Tiguan a VW employee spec'd. Every option was 1/4 of the cost through a dealer.
My neighbor actually bought 2 vehicles from overseas. A 2020 Toyota hilux and a 2022 FJ Cruiser. He rebranded the hilux as tacoma and changed the year on the FJ to reflect 2014. Don't know how he did it but he did. He said both vehicles still cost significantly lower than a brand new Tacoma and Rubicon.
The price is what it is because foolish buyers are still buying them at those prices. Until people stop buying, the prices will remain the way they are.
Subaru and Mazda are ahead of last year's sales. They both have nice vehicles at reasonable prices. I picked up a nicely equipped Crosstrek a couple months ago and got 10% off. It's a great sub 30k crossover. After months of research Toyota, Mazda and Subaru were the only brands worth looking at.
The entire customer base is only going to accept a massive fire sale at this point.. Not even sure 30% off is going to move the needle.. Its an epic standoff that will be scribed in American history..
I’m using a loaner while my car gets fixed. I don’t need the steering wheel to vibrate every time I drift a foot left or right. I don’t need the car to alarm Brake Brake every time the car in front of me stops at a light.
When most of these vehicles are being produced in Mexico, and the factory workers are only paid $500 in U.S. equivalent Pesos those MSRP's don't add up. I know a guy that has a mechanical engineering degree and worked for Ford in Mexico, he saw it daily what those factory workers were getting paid.
A lot of people actually bought these overpriced things a few years ago and then got a reality check when they couldn’t afford the payments and the cars got repossessed! Credit card debt is at a record high, people are finally waking up to reality.
Really people when I view local dealer ads (Atlanta) with 10K off MSRP one has to question how much margin did the MFG. put into the vehicle in the first place. There’s an old saying Pigs get fat but Hogs get slaughtered. Some of these dealers are certainly going to go out of business and some manufacturers had better wake up. They’re making it easy for China and Europe to come in and dominate a market that has lost its way.
You need something cheap to get the customer in then you sell them the upgrade like it use to be but know you have no options expensive or more expensive
This and other videos like this crack me up. With the exception of Stellantis whose YOY revenue is down 27%, EBIT adjusted income for GM and Ford is record high.
Every time I've gone to buy a vehicle, several places let me walk instead of settling to make a small profit instead of robbing me. I wonder if that will change.
Nope. They will crush unsold inventory before doing that. If they give in once, they can never go back to these outrageous prices. They are willing to die on this hill.

it just shows how stupid people are. they started this by paying in the first place. dealerships said oo wow. let see how stupid they really are. and there you go people are dumb
Someone tell me, I own a "new" 2018 Toyota 4Runner, I also own 2 Porsches, and 4 BMW's. when I get out of town in either a Porsche, or a BMW, almost always a "Hayseed" will pull up alongside me in his huge pickup truck, run alongside me for a while, until I'm pissed off. When i take off, most will try to over take me with their pickup. They NEVER keep up, they may hit 90mph, or more, regardless, they are left behind, I get ahead to stay clear. Why do they have such a case of dumba$$??
Just close them all and let's just order our cars
This is part of the plan. Why let dealerships take profits the manufacturers could have. They can charge $80k for a truck too.
@@lot2196would you still think you're getting screwed though.....
@@lot2196 KIA is coming to Amazon
That’s a horrible idea too. The manufacturers give less of a fuck about you

something's gotta give then eventually. People just stop buying new altogether?
right, ill just buy used, 10k or less.
And they they get a government bail out

Exactly. It’s hot garbage 🥵
Once again, they did this to themselves.
F em !!!! 💯

192k for a Ford Raptor. Yeah I don't think so
My Ford truck was only 2200
For a back and forth to work vehicle. Nobody drives the Baja 2000.
I saw these tow video where he towed a near new Wagoneer then same drive towed it again after it broke while the dealer was testing driving it
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
This really doesn’t apply here.
People feels so badly about themselves they think paying astronomical prices for some junky car will make them feel better. It doesn’t.
They are like house prices. Stupid people will still pay stupid prices for both. Lowest quality ever, best statement ever.

Corrupt business practices for decades. Good riddance
How many new cars have major recalls that need to be fixed right from the purchase.
I see a alot of purchased new trucks, Ford , gmc, Chevy, ram, Toyota, broncos , Nissan, idk 🤷 what you talking about

Yeah but that's because they suck. They sell the cheapest and junkiest parts and tools on the plannet.
