I used to be the guy driving a 23 Raptor just to run errands at Costco. Eventually, I ditched it and switched to a Ridgeline-and it’s been way more practical for my needs! I went from a $1,400 payment to $0 payment. I also ditched the 23 BMW X7 with a $1,300 payment…and bought a 2016 GX 460 with $0 payment. Can’t believe how stupid I was with my money.
There are over 20 million millionaires in the USA, and tens of millions more with high salaries. The cost of groceries, utilities, insurance and living won't affect them at all. The poor and struggling will continue to be poor and struggling. It's NOT going to get better for THEM next year. It will be worse for them.
@jspin1103. I have to call you put for this atrocious attention seeking comment. Trump brags too much about what he will be able to do, but that is where his faults stop. No economy under Trump will do worse than one run by the DNC Great Reset mafia who's goal is to literally destroy the economy. Just thr fact that Trump is jot trying to actively destroy things is enough to know the economy will do waaaay better under him. Just like it did before. Even Democrats know this. That's why they voted for Trump too.
I am so glad I am living rent free in my mom's basement and can ride my bicycle to my job at McDonalds plus I get one free meal per shift and get the leftovers to feed my mom and dog.
People are now smarter about the whole addendum scam. Nitrogen tires? Seriously? The dealers are still charging that while they go bankrupt. Greed will sink them all
Im still driving my 07 Tundra Crewmax. I wont touch the new Tundras. Saw obscene ADM stickers on some of my dealers stock. Toyota management is arrogant. They didn't listen to Tundra owners when we asked them not to redesign and drop the 5.7. I wont buy the new one. Plus it isn't a very nice looking truck.
Yep, what I don't understand is what Truck owner was clamoring to have a NA V8 replaced with a Turbo v6? Or a NA V6 with a I4 Turbo? Manufacturers ignore their base across the board, and people speak with their wallets.
Those Ford Mavericks need to be $20k to $30k as THEY WERE DESIGNED TO BE SOLD FOR!! They are totally not built well enough to be selling for the MSRP prices Ford is asking.
@@PBurns-d4w Totally agree. This vehicle was designed to be a cheap $20k truck. Would love to finally see that happen after all these years. I'd really like a strippo base 2.5 liter non-turbo 4 cylinder with a manual tranny gearbox.
Yep, they announced the base model at just under $20K, dealers hit people for another $10K, then Ford made the $10K official. So now you have a $20K truck pushing $35K+. Shortly after they were released I saw a used Bronco on a lot in VA with an $18K dealer markup, bringing the total to $60K for a year-old mid-range Bronco 2-door with 33K miles. Since that day, our 2017 Explorer had a cylinder failure at 60K miles and the new Broncos have been a train wreck for reliability. My lifted 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0L (225K) has had less mechanical issues than our last two Fords. How is that even possible?
Little known fact. Toyota is the only automaker that still uses distributors in the United States. You may know them as Southeast Toyota or Gulf States Distributors. They are a middle man that has the monopoly on Toyota vehicles in their markets. These middle men distributors notoriously add markups to every single Toyota sold in their markets. On Camrys or Corollas this is usually 1500 dollars and anywhere from 3000 to over 10k on Tundras and more expensive models. These distributors add cheap, unneeded products like safes, protection packages, dash cameras, trailer towing balls, and other low value items that are then marked up exponentially. An example is a dash cam with a value of 75 dollars for 500-600 dollars. Toyota allows these middle men to exist because of a loophole in their contracts that basically allows these distributors to exist unchecked with no clauses for expiration. In distributors markets, a 60k dollar Tundra is marked up by a distributor an average of 5-6k dollars. It astounds me that this has been legally allowed to happen for 70 plus years without any government intervention.
Dealerships refuse to work on vehicles after 100k miles . Only reason i can think of is they want to sell not extend the life of their products. The problem is as the computers get more complicated and the manufacturers charge small shops a fortune for diagnostic software it's a planned obsolescence by attrition.
@dave3657 well that's awful nice of them. 😂 They can kiss my arse. My vehicle is one of those that averages 300k miles before trade in. Once the battle over alternate fuel sources is done and Tesla is out of business MAYBE I will trade in but the very idea that two thousand pounds of batteries with wheels is going to save us is nuts.
Last generation tundras and Tacomas were perfect. I wish they just did some small changes and mostly interior updates. Now I’m not sure what my next truck will be
@@runrundaveNissan has an opportunity here to grab market share with the Frontier. Unfortunately I think they’ll miss it. An irony is they are also ceasing production of the Titan. Not my sort of truck but, with the Tundra floundering it might have picked up some additional sales.
@@Dottydawes Nissan burned plenty of people with their last Frontiers and Xterras with the coolant leak that simultaneously frags your engine and transmission. Wouldn't do a recall, forced to replace engines by class action lawsuits and even then would only replace engines under 60K miles - while the problem was most prevalent at 70-80K. My Xterra was at 82K. You could not pay me to own another Nissan. Just look at the massive numbers of previous gen Frontiers on the road today. Oh, wait, there aren't any.
@@soloCRPG- not going to dispute it. However, Nissan is so far behind Toyota that if they could get the Frontier out with good quality they have a chance of gaining market share. Me, I was burned by Ford - twice. So I know how it feels when a manufacturer screws you over.
I totally agree 100%. I'm a Toyota owner since 1978(17 Toyotas later). The new, flaky quality Toyotas offer far less for 'over the moon prices'. I'm gonna keep my 2008 5.7 V8 Tundra & 2020 4.0 V6 4Runner, and call an end to my Toyota buying days. Toyota's quality reputation is in the history books.
I saw a video about it and there was a fair point… a lot of people love the prices of the basic, no frills cars, but how many customers would actually buy a car like that in 2024? Most customers actually like tech, they like that added safety feature, it makes the NEW car purchase a little more worth it.
@ your right but it’s gets to a point where there to much stuff to break. I went and looked at a 24 Silverado with 5.3 in it this weekend and I was disappointed the seats were horrible the screen was glitching and check engine light was on I ran away.
@@GavinB17 Gonna have to buy an older vehicle if you want that. They can't manufacture a decent vehicle anymore due to excessive regulations. Start/stop, cylinder deactivation, soy plastics, etc..
“Lot Rot” and the dealerships still want a premium price. I just looked at a truck that was built in October 2022, sold as a 2023 and there is no mark downs. Over 2 year old brand new pickups. The GM comment to me was he will sell it to someone.

Here in Edmonton Canada I am seeing Jeep discounts of 8-12k on Wranglers. No customers anywhere. The desperation is starting to show. I have owned several Wranglers and this is going to have to change. Prices are going to need to be discounted 25% - 35% to start. Even then the economy is starting to impact the ability to actually buy anything. Dealers are in denial all over the place. I worked in the car industry in good times and they missed out on so many deals because of greed. Many think they can still do that. They are going to be decimated and disappear.
It’s a shame what has happened over the decades. Brands used to - at the least - *appear* to want to build a loyal customer base. My aunt went from a Ford Tempo, to a Taurus, and then a Lincoln Town Car. She has had that Lincoln for at least 15 years and she loves it. It’s been very reliable and her husband has had his Ranger for over 25 years. Now, everything seems disposable and it’s a shame. These executives are greedier than ever; higher costs, lower quality, and a nearly-abandoned car market. They’re insane if they think this will be sustainable. Everything doesn’t have to be “premium” for crying out loud! Reverse-engineer a 1995 Toyota Camry and stop trying to sell us this unreliable garbage! I hope we get some people in power to put the brakes on this push for EVs. Every vehicle CAN NOT and WILL NOT be electric. People are sick of all of these agendas that keep being pushed (mainly from the left). Americans are voting with their wallets and common sense… and I’m here for it 👏👏👏 *LET IT ROT!* (Thank you for continuously putting the information out there. We, the People, are done with the bullshℹ️t. There needs to be a return to simpler vehicles that the masses can actually afford.)
My vehicles are paid for. The only way I would go buy another vehicle is if something bad happened to mine that I had to replace them. The only new vehicle I could afford would be that Nissan Versa with a manual transmission for 18K. I definitely wouldn't pay over 20k for another vehicle.
Something to note with the Tundras and Tacomas is that you don’t see the hybrid versions, at least in this particular video and well, just generally those are the ones that seem to be in demand. My local dealerships have all types of Tundras and Tacomas in stock, the only ones that aren’t on the lot too long is the Tundra/Tacoma hybrids and Nightshade Editions of the Tundra
Had it with dealerships! Bought a cybertruck. I tow occasionally short distance, can seat 5 people comfortably, can charge at home, very useful storage, bulletproof, and most importantly, can drive me home without touching the wheel, and can use as a home generator for up to three days. 79k is a lot, but nothing else in this price range can do what the Cybertruck does and I didn’t have to deal with scammer dealers. Nay sayers can crap on me, but please drive one before stating your 2 cents.
I sold doge ram jeeps and the 300's the chargers and challengers through 08.I as a consumer would never paying 1 dollar over msrp, and didn't understand any consumers spending 8 to 20 thousand dollar markups for select vehicles. The corporate sharks dropped the entry level vehicles that were 20 thousand or less. They raised the prices on reg or crew cab trucks exorbitantly by 15 to 30 thousand dollars for standard work trucks.Where are the one or two corporations that could identify that they could make vehicles in the 20 to thirty thousand price range and have enough units to feed their dealers at least 2 to 3 years inventories.Apparently none had a leader with foresight and wisdom to even advance those ideas to the board of directors and marketing. They would minimize ceo cfo and top mngt salaries as well as national brand ads and let the cars and trucks and their prices sell themselves.Too bad because one corporation could have the opportunity to be making billions in sales and financing, laughing all the way to the banks.Able to reward their sales staffs handsomely while the other dealerships floundered or failed.Common sense is no longer a common trait in our American businesses 😢😢😮😮
The real problem is the overly complicated build of cars and trucks. EXAMPLE: Electric brake calipers, electric steering, direct injection engines, cylinder deactivation technology, unnecessary 8-9-10 speed transmissions. Everything electronically married from the build date. You can't purchase a plain car anymore, the base model of a car line is already over the top with "standard features" driving the price up. As for hiking up tariffs, if the company has already invested in outsourcing. They will not bring the manufacturing back on a large scale to make a difference. The additional tariff cost will inevitably be passed back onto the consumer.
Even Trump’ s followers don’t understand that. Tariffs are a disguised tax on the people. Or a subsidy to the auto workers salaries (management included).
You can certainly see the difference in Toyotas marketing from the 70s and 80s until now, they have certainly lost their focus on North American market over the past few years. Quite apparent a younger less experienced and less focused management has taken over from the more experienced past. My personal views.
As dealerships have all this inventory, currently of 2024's sitting for 150-180 days (per carguru), I went to try to buy a Tuscon. 41K list, 4K incentive, so 37K. My car worth 15K (KBB 14K-17K value). 5K down. I came to 20K to be financed. They came to 34K financing. HOLY you know what. And they barely budged. this fee, that fee. Manufacturer incentive 0% or 2K. So for me to get 0%, they want me to eat the 2K they lost because all incentives go to dealership. You get the idea. Long story short with bunches of 2024 sitting on the lot and 2025's rolling in, they aren't dealing. I'll keep my 2018 Rav4 with 130K miles.
No one can afford a $100K+ truck to work out of, if it can't handle the job, and spends all its time in the repair shop for a recall. I'll keep my 25 year old pickup. It's a paid for, dead reliable, powerful, plain turbo diesel. 235 K miles and still working well. A new truck would be nice, but not at today's prices.
Paid 14k for my 2008 expedition king ranch in 2018. I put 200k hard towing miles on it and it still rides perfect in 2024. I don't know how these dealers think their product justifies those prices...The new expedetions don't even have V8's in them its crazy.
Thanks a ton, Dillon! Appreciate the support… I was pretty reluctant sharing that new acquisition amongst my subscribers (who tend to be big Toyota fans). But it’s easily the most enjoyable suv/truck I’ve ever owned. =]
I just bought a ‘21 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland edition. Stickered for $68k in 2021. I picked it up for $38k 3 years later with 24,000 miles on it. Crazy prices on new vehicles anymore.
I've been following the 2024 Golf R inventory of 5 VW dealers in my area. In September they had 35 in stock between them, today they have 33. At that pace they have no choice but to slash prices by year end, and then even more in Jan/Feb. I can wait.
Poor quality trucks at insane prices. No thanks. Life is so much better without a ridiculous truck payment to worry about. I'll keep driving my 2015 Tacoma V6 4x4 for as long as possible.
Car’s are like a drug-Instant gratification regardless of the buyers financial situation. That said, I’m no different. Currently drive a 2016 Lexus IS350, & was gonna use it as leverage to get into an RC F. But, after serious thought, & self reflection trading it made zero sense. Was just paid off, relatively low 70K miles, & it runs flawlessly. But, I fully understand why many bite off more they can chew.
Just seen a video where the teeth were falling off ford belts inside the engine.blocking oil passages and making the belt useless to whatever it was spinning.oil pump timing etc..
Just talked to 2 toyota dealers. Aside from Tundra, they want to sell at MSRP saying stuff is high demand. At best they can give 500 off + all their junk fees. Dealer lots are packed. In no rush for a mini-van and from what I can tell, the longer you wait, the lower prices go at this point. Wasn't too long ago sienna's were ordered and waited on, but now they're sitting unsold on dealer lots. I don't care as much for price...it's the resale...to buy today at MSRP and then next year they selling 10k off MSRP you'd get killed on depreciation.
I'm a Toyota guy, I've have had over 10 Toyotas throughout the years. In 2020, I traded a 2019 4Runner for a Colorado ZR2 Bison with the baby Duramax. It was an incredible vehicle, and I regret trading it. The Chevrolet Colorado of that generation were a far better value than the Tacoma. I currently have a 2019 Tundra with 38K on the clock and a 2017 Highlander with 120,000 miles. We really want to get a new vehicle to replace the Highlander, but there's no Toyota's that are worth the price. We're now hoping for a Tahoe, but looking for the right deal and the low single digit interest rates. Keep up the great content.
The dealers should realize that right now, fuel is cheap. If a potential customer is considering buying a new vehicle, you are not just competing with dealerships an hour away, they're competing with dealers several hours away if the price is right. I drove 300 miles each way to buy a truck in May. I saved $7,000 by driving that far instead of accepting the offers I got at nearby dealers. Your observation matches mine. Of the brands I looked at earlier this summer, GM is offering vehicles that are more affordable in their cheaper trims. Half-ton trucks specifically, but also some of the SUV's. There's a reason they went from nearly having Ram sell more trucks than their Chevy brand to selling more trucks than any other manufacturer. If you're that worried about reliability negotiate an extended warranty into the price. Most dealers will move on the warranty price, it isn't set in stone. I work with several guys that have newer GM half-tons and they all show up to work every day. A few have over 200k without any issues.
I've had 5 Toyotas, 3 tacomas and 2 Rav 4s. This was when Toyota was charging Toyota prices, now Toyota is charging Lexus prices for a regular Toyota. Those were my last Toyotas. I can buy an Audi, BMW or Mercedes for these new Toyota prices. Crazy times we are in.
Our GM dealer lot in NC is empty. That's how they are hanging on. If you want a specific new car you practically have to special order it. If you want a good deal, find a lot that's overstocked.
Servco Toyota in Honolulu and Kau’i has never sold above MSRP. The incoming Tacoma Pro’s are all reserved, as well as Siennas, Rav4s and most other models. Tundras do sit longer if they aren’t SR5 work style or Pro.
Swing for the moon by saying 30% off with 0% interest. If they refuse, tell them you'll be back next year. If they counter with 20%, tell them you'll think about it and walk away. You can do this with absolutely no intentions to purchase a vehicle. Just for kicks, and it'll send a message.
That’s good stuff. Question: does this markdown also need to apply to used vehicles as well? I imagine so but give me an idea how much these used vehicles are marked up? I’m a new subscriber as of today. Thanks
Excellent video. Some in the industry have stated that many dealers are trying to hold out because they fattened their wallets during the pandemic. If true, those dealers cannot hold out much longer without dropping prices dramatically. Also, what happened to dealer service departments covering upwards of 100 percent - some even 120 percent - of the entire dealership’s costs? That’s what these dealers should focus on and move the darn metal already. It’s absurd.
This video was succinct and to the point well done Bravo this channel is getting better and better every month. I really appreciate all the hard work that you do and looking forward very much to your next video. Keep up the great work and don’t forget to mention Lexus once in a while… Just kidding you’re doing great…. I know your love is TOYOTA and my love. Is Lexus peace be with you and enjoy and have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your beautiful family🇺🇸🙏✝️☮️💜⭐️👍
Heck, Chevy dealers are discounting Stingrays 11-12 percent. I really think that most car companies don’t mind if some of their dealers go under. The “traditional” manufacturers would love to have the control that the EV manufacturers have over distribution. Not really a good thing for consumers though. If companies don’t have decent choices at 30k in development, they will not have a future.
That blue jeep in the background is the sharpest looking vehicle by far on that parking lot. Interesting point about we are now playing in the Chevy's and GM's playground with vehicle pricing. Toyota is a lost puppy. But I give you a bravo and applause for buying the Jeep. That thing is awesome and I am glad you are supporting American made!! Stellantis has some warts, but they also build the most fun V8's. That Jeep Rubicon 392 is a blast, but I dare you to drive the Durango 392 Hellcat with the third row and captain chairs. j
Thanks man! The 392 is so much fun… I don’t blame people to knocking the idea of it. But I know if they took the time to try one out, they too would strongly consider one. It’s easily the most enjoyable suv/truck I’ve ever driven.
I believe your point but why dealers still refuse to lower prices? I always a Toyota/Lexus customer and still waiting for the new tundra to be affordable. Gotta feed the family first.
Many of them are figuring it out the hard way right now. They’re not getting the huge relief they expected… instead there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. They HAVE to move inventory now of they’ll fail. It’s that simple. No dealer can hold extreme inventory levels for this long.
I bought two vehicles in 2021. The Honda CRV and Pilot Black Edition. I just paid them off. I wanted a 3rd vehicle a pickup truck and their prices are insane. I was paying $1200 for those two car and I guess I won’t buy it and just save that money
I need a truck, small to mid-size, 2wd, hand crank windows, no cruise control, rubber mats on floor, no A/C ( I live in Canada), two door or suicide doors, long bed, standard. Not I know it will never happen. Which is why I'm still driving after almost 18 years an 07 Ranger, which is the best truck I'll ever own.
4 Cylinder Turbo boost with Mild Hybrid = 4 less years of life in the vehicle you bought. I have always bought my cars and kept them 10 years on average. Now if your car lasts 5, you are fortunate. And they are now putting these 4 bangers on large SUV's ? F NO !!!!
Just talked to a dealer and asked to cut $6K off a vehicle that's been sitting on their lot for 365 days. They refused. I simply thanked them and moving on..lol keep your car. I'm good! 😅
Toyota can't lower the MSRP, but they for sure can offer cash incentive or APR deals. As of right now the lowest APR offered for Tundra still 1.9%, that means they are not desperate enough. Wait until Toyota offers 0% for 72 month, just like Nissan
You know what's wrong with Toyota is i went to a dealership the other day and saw a Toyota camry sticker price at $47k and asked a salesman are camry's selling for this much now and he said yes.
Average american is at all time high for debt, this country's fucked financially we need a great reset. I've been looking at buying used models that are a few years old and every time I look up the MSRP of that spec and year, it ends up being within 5% of that years MSRP, with 30k+ miles no thankyou. Used cars need to tank in price so as far as I am concerned the automotive industry did this to themselves. I'll just keep buying really old cars and fixing them up fuck it.
You aren’t fooling anyone thinking that the price reflects a truck made in the U.S.A when in fact it’s made out of country for a lower wage but not passing or even acknowledging the fact that the price should have been much lower. My 2018 Sierra was put together in Texas… Good enough for me and I’m Canadian .
Thanks for the hard work and knowledge untamed! Videos like this make me happier and happier that I have a 2019 4Runner! I wonder how the new redesigned 4Runner will do on the lot… I’ll be staying tuned!
570 credit score. I get turned away regardless of income, have lost jobs over transportation, made my payments on used vehicles just to have them repo'd over night while i was working for no reason, working with dealerships has always been a red flag for me. Hell even my dad with a 750 credit score just had to drop 10g's up front to get a standard bronco sport taking away from his retirement to pay for it. These dealerships and car companies need to pander less to investors and personal wants when it comes to pricing and pander more toward the 28k a year 5-600 credit score 72% of americans. Otherwise this will continue and ill get a cheap laugh pissing on a dilapidated old ford dealerships front door
Dude, 10-15 grand discount is not nearly enough! They need to mark everything on their lot at half price as a starting point. With the current interest rates, out the door prices need to be 35-40 grand max to bring the average buyer in.
TOYOTA OF CLERMONT, Florida. They trick me from the beginning of the process(on the pandemic), after adding 10,000 on a new car, took my trade in Tacoma sales guy saying the will be pay off, at the end of the process were the stuff need to be signed (last step), The lady in the office break downs everything I found out they pass money from the my trade in to the loan…not my first bad experience also my wife too, she to run away from the dealer and they start calling her like crazy… Please this is my experience. If ok with them good for you. We talking about taking advantage, now they have a tons and f unsold cars may be why.
That’s good if they’re not willing to sell a person in the truck for a reasonable price, they can let the truck rot or go bankruptcy. It doesn’t matter to me. When they give a deal, they’re not taking a loss. The trucks are way overpriced in the first place you gotta get the price back down where it was and then we can make a deal if you don’t wanna go bankruptcy doesn’t matter to me. well we need to see from the Toyota dealer and all the rest of them is reliability too
I'm confused about you selling your Toyotas and buy a $100K Jeep. You have been posting numerous videos about how car dealerships are over charging for their vehicles and warning the car buying public not to fall into that trap. It's sending the wrong message that people should now ignore your advice? Personally, I wouldn't tell the world you bought a new vehicle when I thought the emphasis on your channel was to be a well informed and educated buyer...
Jeep’s woes are exactly why I bought one. $11.5K off sticker and $9K more for my trade than what it was worth. If Jeep had been doing good, I wouldn’t have gotten a deal like that.
TARIFS = no need to lower the prices cause foreign cars will become more expensive the end of the big 3 as we know it - cause they will be beaten big times in the coming 4 years cause the rest of the world is still in competition but the big3 are not and becoming fatter and fatter REMEMBER: Marketshareleader in germany in the 60s far ahead of VW was who ? GENERAL MOTORS with far over 25% ROTTEN AFTER 40 years when GM LEFT: 8% Obvious that the big 3 are not competitive - at least in Europe. Same for Ford which has lost 50% of its marketshare in last 20 years or 75% since mid 80s in germany. Good luck, tarifs will make their situation worser than today cause the prices can not drop due to tarifs unless the chinese and others will establish a prroduction in Canada or even USA . Forget nitrogen tires. If the dealer is demanding MSRP, I laugh and walk away. Even $2000 off MSRP is a joke.
@roguedolphin I'd pay 15k. For 30k I'd buy a classic truck and drive it as my daily.

Maverick is a sea of cheap plastic. Should be no more than 25 grand
They want to sell you a new one is all. My Toyota has 200K and the dealership sends me flyers all the time.

How come corporations only discovered greed 4 years ago?
No, that's not enough. They need to pay. I'm not a buyer until at least 30k.
Manufacturers should make basic solid vehicles that are affordable. They have lost touch with reality.

Thank you for sharing this man. Well said 👌 💯
The real problem is the overly complicated build of cars and trucks.
Never going to buy from a dealer again
As long as the public (UnTamed) keeps buying them; they will keep building them! Simple economics!

Making stupid greedy decisions tends to BANKRUPT companies.
Cut the price by half still 50% to much.
Paid 14k for my 2008 expedition king ranch in 2018. I put 200k hard towing miles on it and it still rides perfect in 2024. I don't know how these dealers think their product justifies those prices...The new expedetions don't even have V8's in them its crazy.

I just bought a ‘21 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland edition. Stickered for $68k in 2021. I picked it up for $38k 3 years later with 24,000 miles on it. Crazy prices on new vehicles anymore.
GM has 1.9%/36mo right now. That might get me into a new truck. I'm NOT paying 8%.
I refuse to buy another new damn truck. Going back to older trucks and rebuilding them makes more sense. They are tools to be used, not pretty toys.
Trucks need to go back to 35k and top of the line SUV’s were 60k. Now an entry level truck is 60k and a top of the line SUV is over 100k

No one wants a full size trunk with a turbo 4 banger no matter what maker.

At this point, dealerships could cut on average 50% per unit and still not move merchandise.
Yeah prices have gotten completely out of hand 👍 💯
I believe your point but why dealers still refuse to lower prices? I always a Toyota/Lexus customer and still waiting for the new tundra to be affordable. Gotta feed the family first.
Many of them are figuring it out the hard way right now. They’re not getting the huge relief they expected… instead there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. They HAVE to move inventory now of they’ll fail. It’s that simple. No dealer can hold extreme inventory levels for this long.

Hell even my dad with a 750 credit score just had to drop 10g's up front to get a standard bronco sport taking away from his retirement to pay for it. Wild that they’re already needing to slash prices on the “desirable trims” like that. 😮
Dude, 10-15 grand discount is not nearly enough! They need to mark everything on their lot at half price as a starting point. With the current interest rates, out the door prices need to be 35-40 grand max to bring the average buyer in.
People keep buying over priced vehicles (Jeep wranglers) won’t cause dealerships to go out of business.
TOYOTA OF CLERMONT, Florida.
They trick me from the beginning of the process(on the pandemic), after adding 10,000 on a new car, took my trade in Tacoma sales guy saying the will be pay off, at the end of the process were the stuff need to be signed (last step),
The lady in the office break downs everything I found out they pass money from the my trade in to the loan…not my first bad experience also my wife too, she to run away from the dealer and they start calling her like crazy…
Please this is my experience. If ok with them good for you.
We talking about taking advantage, now they have a tons and f unsold cars may be why.
How do you know what there thinking or doing?
I’m a published expert in the field. I hold a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology… much of my assessment is rooted in research. 👍
That’s good if they’re not willing to sell a person in the truck for a reasonable price, they can let the truck rot or go bankruptcy. It doesn’t matter to me. When they give a deal, they’re not taking a loss. The trucks are way overpriced in the first place you gotta get the price back down where it was and then we can make a deal if you don’t wanna go bankruptcy doesn’t matter to me. well we need to see from the Toyota dealer and all the rest of them is reliability too
To get the deal I got on my 2019 F150 XLT 302a, I'd need a total about 33% (rebates + discount) off the sticker of a new 2024.
Where is the trailblazer made, Asia?
Tundra sales will be stalled until the failing engines are resolved.
Glad to see greedy dealership go bankrupt versus hard working Americans going bankrupt
TARIFS = no need to lower the prices cause foreign cars will become more expensive
the end of the big 3 as we know it - cause they will be beaten big times in the coming 4 years cause the rest of the world is still in competition but the big3 are not and becoming fatter and fatter
REMEMBER: Marketshareleader in germany in the 60s far ahead of VW was who ?
GENERAL MOTORS with far over 25%
ROTTEN AFTER 40 years when GM LEFT: 8%
Obvious that the big 3 are not competitive - at least in Europe.
Same for Ford which has lost 50% of its marketshare in last 20 years or 75% since mid 80s in germany.
Good luck, tarifs will make their situation worser than today cause the prices can not drop due to tarifs unless the chinese and others will establish a prroduction in Canada or even USA . BYD for example could - easily with VW together.
