Honestly all your dislikes can be found on high-end vehicles, however, those vehicles come in around $15k-$20k more than the Honda Accord. I have a 2019 1.5T Accord Sport and like it very much for the price, around $27k. Rear Camera is fine, not enough bass is fine for me (better sound system in the touring edition),wireless Apple play would be great but it would come at a considerable cost increase, lack of side mirror memory isn’t a big thing because adjusting if any is very quick, taillights are ugly but not a deal breaker. Overall people who tend to buy an Accord are people who want a very reliable car, with attractive features, at an affordable cost. If you really think about it, many of the standard features that come on the latest Accords were not found as early as 3 years ago, like rear view cameras, Honda Sensing, Turbo engines, Apple play. So Honda has improved their vehicles a lot in the last couple years.

@@Granked idk about the 1.5 but the 2.0T hauls.. 0-60 in 5.4 is pretty fast imo for what you’re getting.. also 280 foot pounds of torque I was always feeling in sport mode, almost the same torque as the M3 with the V8.
As a technician and owner of a 2.0L touring #1 You can upgrade your camera very easily, probably have any car audio/video store can wire up a upgraded camera. #2 install a subwoofer and amp. #3 Your driving a Honda #4 there are aftermarket lights on Ebay rite now. #5 Total cost of upgrades $1400

Agree with the factory stereo. I upgraded all my factory speakers with component Phoenix Gold and added subwoofers and amp. Sounds great now. Replaced those lights with aftermarket smoked led tail lights and blacked out grill too.
#1. Apply rainx or wax to repel the rain or dust. #2. i believe the Touring has this opiton only #3. Bass is a preference too some mine sounds perfect. #4. Select Bluetooth Audio to listen to your music your phone on without the wire #5. again it's a preference for the taillights some like them some don't. i myself purchased aftermarket ones from boostedwhipz channel for $280

I've had people mistake my 2018 Honda Accord 1.5T Touring for a Mercedes or Audi and I have yet to have 1 person out of the last 1000 that have been inside of my car o er the last two months be displeased with anything about the car inside and out.
@2:46 "Stereo bass" A good stereo should not be colored. A good stereo should not add anything, and it should not subtract anything. A good stereo should reproduce the performance exactly as it was created by the artist. This is a subjective area. I understand that many people want woofers and amps that will blow the roof off of the car. But that is an alteration (and a significant one) of the artist's work. I take issue with the Accord's stereo because, although it is enjoyable, it never lets you forget that you are listening to a stereo. When a stereo is very good, you hear a wall of music. The speakers disappear. Your ears cannot identify the location of the speakers. You forget that you are listening to a mechanical device. You hear a 3D soundstage with very good imaging. The Accord does not offer this in their stereo. So it is not great. But it is also not bad. @5:13 "Wireless carplay" Quality audio reproduction is best when wireless is not used. If you want the best sound fidelity from your car stereo, then I suggest that you play quality .flac files (never .mp3 files) from a flash drive that you connect to your USB port. @5:38 "Turn the battery bad" Apple (and probably other brands, too) have overcharge protection built-in to their phones. They know when the battery is at 100%. Now, if you want to allow your phone to periodically drain to a low power before a recharge (which could extend overall battery life), then you have a valid point. You can remedy most of your stereo and phone battery issues by using a USB flash drive to play music, and plugging in your phone only when you need to charge it. Of course, this will require you to purchase all of your music. If you are not prepared to do so, then I see no other options. And note that there are countless examples where the exact same song is available on the original release, greatest hits, best of, anthology, remasters (which are often worse sounding), and any number of compilations. And note that that exact same song often sounds different (in terms of "quality") on each of the releases. But if you put in the time, effort, and $$, you will end up with a music collection that sounds much better than randomly listening to the song from random sources. Also note that purchased/downloaded .flac files almost always sound better than CDs (meaning a .flac made from ripping a CD will usually not sound as good as a .flac purchased from, for example, "us.7digital.com" Cheers!
Hay man, I really want to get this or the 2017 Touring. I want the V6 thats why I am considering the 2017 Touring and I am worried about Turbo Long term Reliability and Resale value. I also feel the 2018- is a bit too low. As someone who has had both. Would you say you prefer this one ? Any regrets ? Which should I get ?
The 2018 is a great choice. There are things I hate but there are more things I love about this car, plus it’s a newer look so the car doesn’t look too Old. No regrets, still loving it
everything you said is justified. Yes your camera was dirty but I agree with what you said about the quality in low light. However its not that bad but it does make your car feel a bit cheap when you see the resolution. Everything else I can agree with
I traded my 2016 sport for 2019 2.0T sport with no regret. They fixed 4 of your complaints and added more features on the car... Moonroof along with 252 HP. It's a beast and enjoyable while driving. Don't really care about the base on the stereo because loud ass music will have a negative impact on your eardrums in a long period. Yes, the damn taillights is still ugly as hell. I know they're supposed to modify the back in 2020 or 2021. Overall, Honda is a great car to have. 🤞
@@Granked Oh yeah... It's a huge difference with everything. It's so much torche and extremely smooth while driving. Additional features such as moon roof, heated seats, be able to tell you which tires needed air, speed limit sensor on the dashboard while driving, and my favorite part of the vehicle is to use a sport mode when accelerating. It's worth it, but I still don't like that ugly ass taillights for sure. 😁
Are you serious with these complaints? I think your complaints are a real stretch. I have a 2017 EX Accord and love it. I bought it new in November 2016 and it's a great car. I'm sure you're other videos are better.

These 5 things were literally all there before you bough the car. If you found stuff later that's one thing but to complain about things that you would have known had you not been lazy to do research before dropping $35K on a car...well, that's on you. Not to mention some of them are impossible, such as wireless CarPlay. That one you can complain to Tim Cook at Apple.

That's the only thing you came up with, well you just made it 10x easier for me to purchase the accord, yes this is not a perfect world but all the thing you mention might be true, one thing for sure dont like the back but eventually you get over it cause beauty is in the inside not the outside like people say. Wow. Clean your Lens. Go into settings for your music adjust the bass level. It’s a smart phone it knows how to regulate the charging. Those things are fixable
Ok, number one. As others have already mentioned, CLEAN your camera for the review! If you have it cleaned it will be just fine. I just test drove one the other day and it’s perfectly clear unless the sun is going down and shining directly at the camera but that’s normal for any camera. 2, wireless CarPlay may sound nice but believe it or not it’s actually better to have it wired use only because when it’s in use and your streaming music from your phone, your battery is gonna drop 30% depending on how long it’s on so it keeps your phone charged. 3, your phone battery is not going to go bad if it’s always at 100%, it actually gives your phone battery more longevity like A LOT. 4, bro if you think one of the main styling characteristics are ugly then why buy it??! You should love every bit of the styling characteristics if your willing to spend $30k on a car. To complain about something so trivial as thinking the tail lights are ugly when you OWN THE CAR is just 🤯. 5, the bass is super mediocre and hardly there. In fact it’s actually more non existent now then in previous models, however, the sound quality is much largely improved. 6, the memory seats/mirrors, 100% agree there are plenty other vehicles at this prices point NON luxury AND 15 years older that have the mirrors attached to the memory of the seats, it really just doesn’t make sense that it’s not either. Btw this is why they do test drives before you by it, so you can figure the things out that you don’t like right away. Such as if you were to say the seats are too hard. Again something you shouldn’t be complaining about if your purchased the car. There are many things that you need to be ok with 100% before purchase. If you complain about something you can actually change them your just not that intelligent when it comes to the car buying process.
Brett Armstrong I love feedbacks. As you can see on the title, those are the only things I dislike about the car and everything else over weighs it. I actually used to work at a honda dealer and I know exactly what I’m buying. I was an internet sales manager / fleet manager / finance manager and I’m aware of what I’m buying. I’m actually the #1 sales person at that dealer. Ive sold hundreds of those 18/19 Accords and I’ve tested a lot of those cameras on the car but it is what it is. I just wish those 5 things were improved. I have always loved Honda accords so I still buy one regardless of the 5 things I dislike because I know they are reliable cars for a very long time. You may have to take it to the dealer. Mines isn’t blurry. Your car my have been wrecked when it came off the delivery truck. Sometimes they let the car roll off two fast and it bangs up against something. That happened to my old car.
Only thing I could agree on is the mirrors, but I think the rest of the point outs aren’t really important or make sense. The lights are a personal preference, I love everything about this car. Don’t have not 1 complain
My 2016 Honda Civic EX deathtrap. If your Honda has an electronic/electric parking brake it might cause you to crash. While driving my 2016 Honda Civic EX around 20 mph the electric parking brake engaged locking up and sliding the rear tires. The car was jerking. A light came on the dash saying 'computer error, have the parking brake serviced'. If I was traveling at a high speed and the electric parking brake locked the rear tires the car would go out of control and crash. The car is unsafe to drive so I had it hauled to the Honda of Cleveland Tenn service department. They worked on the car and the service department manager said nothing they did addressed or corrected the electronic/electric parking brake malfunction. The car was returned to me on 7/23/2019 . I ask the American Honda Motor Co., Inc for compensation,on 8/4/19 and on "08/09/19 they refused, saying the problem with the electric parking brake had been "repaired". Obviously not true. The brake problem has not been repaired and all these cars should be recalled. I'm sure they did not bother to look into the problem at all. The following is their reply: "08/09/2019" "Dear John Thank you for the reply. We have received the requested information and after further review of the diagnosis from Honda Cleveland the vehicle was repaired. We have looked into your request for compensation and we regret to inform you that American Honda Motor Co., Inc will not be in the position to provide the compensation requested. @@OneStopGuy I've been looking into an accord but the Altima has a much better entertainment and stereo system.. and I just can't get over that push button shifter either. I would want a 2.0 if I get the accord. I would like to know can you let the car idle and get out of the car and use the remote to lock the doors or touch the door handle to lock the doors while the car is running.. does the Accord allow you to do that..the altima does allow that. Thanks. I have yet to go to the dealership to function test this myself but I've asked several people on TH-cam and it no one has given me a response.
ymmij1973 no it only allows you to remote start it from the outside. It doesn’t allow you to get out and still leave the car on. I know exactly what you mean Bc I used to have another car and I installed an aftermarket alarm and it allows you to do that just in case you want to go out and in quickly. This is for the remote start. Same goes with what you are asking

My rear camera is not blurry. The stereo is not the greatest. I even have the updated one. I think not having a light in the glove box and not having individual tire pressure sensors, get to me the most. But I love too many other things in my exl 2.0 2018.
Those were literally the dumbest reasons to “hate” a car. Wired CarPlay is so much better because when you get a FaceTime you can just unplug and resort to the Bluetooth audio so you can use your camera because if plugged in on Apple car play it won’t let you use your camera. On the other hand, if it’s wireless car play then you don’t have that option to just unplug, you’d have to go into your car settings while driving and switch over to bluetoooth only if you wanted to get your camera to work for FaceTime. Secondly, real Honda enthusiast’s know that Honda do not accel in audio systems. Third, you can clean the back up camera(but who really needs a backup camera) good drivers can relate.
As a new owner of a 2.0, I'd like to know if anyone else has a rough shifting transmission when the car is cold. Primarily when shifting from park to drive or reverse.
I dont have a 2.0 yet but in the hunt for one. Did my research and that actually is common people have gone to dealers had the swap transmissions n the problem persists. My current theory is software because people who have tuned there 2.0t don’t seem to have that issue. Just my two cents
@@streetsociety2361 It seems that the engine likes to rev high from a cold start (1500 for 10 seconds; 1200 for about a minute, then scales exponentially for about 10 minutes). When above 900 RPM, changing between drive and park is rough. That is what I've noticed. So rather than it being an issue with the transmission, I'm wondering if it's an issue with it idling high. That would explain why a tune would fix said problem.
I agree with you on the memory seats and that it should do the mirrors too. I have the 18 Accord too and i have to keep adjusting the mirror after my kids drive the car

OneStopGuy there is a recall on the back up camera... my cameras are perfect. You might need to have your cameras changed. Your still under warranty ... get that done ASAP!!!!
Lack of bass? Get non stock tweeters and speakers. Nice ones for less than $100. I always change the stock speakers. Another thing is perhaps your back up camera is defective/have humidity or clogged up. Maybe a third party back up could solve your issues. What you hate more can easily be mitigated incrementally. Even all those post upgrades will cost you less than a $60-70k car. Plus your resale will still hold better than a luxury vehicle.
Here are items that annoy me with my 2020 Accord (same design as the host's 2018): -- Painted door sill: When getting in and out of the car (especially when getting in), you have to be careful to not let your foot touch the door sill. If you do not pay attention, each and every time you enter and exit, you will accidentally drag your foot and hit the painted door sill. This results in paint scuffs, smears, and scratches. Honda offers a cover for the sill. It sucks. It shows scratches, too. And it comes in silver, and only silver. So unless you have a silver car, it stands out, and not in a good way. -- Camera for reverse: It easily gets fuzzy or unclear when the weather is bad. This leads to the next issue: -- Shifts into "Park" when you open your door: So your camera is blurry, and you cannot get a good sense of a tight spot with your mirrors. What is a driver to do? With your foot on the brake, and the car in reverse, you open your door to slowly back up while you are carefully looking out the door. A good plan. But Honda says "No dice". As soon as you open the door, the car goes in to "Park" (and it will not let you put it into reverse while the door is open). -- Shifting from "Neutral" to "Drive". You are at a long light. The ground is level and you decide to put the car in neutral. Why neutral? So that you can tap it into "Drive" When the light turns green (or at least that is the plan). Finally, the light turns green, and you press the "Drive" button. Honda say "No dice". You must first step on the brake, and while stepping on it, press the "Drive" button. If this is a safety feature, I do not know what the safety issue is. The car does have a "Brake Hold" feature. But that leaves the car in "Drive", and it idles a little rough (note that it idles smoothly -- just not as smoothly as it does when in "Neutral"). -- Cargo net: Unlike cargo nets that I am used to, the Accord's cargo net is bizarre. Rather than it being situated near the opening of the trunk, it is situated in the center of the trunk, and the elastic bands, that hold it in place, block you from getting behind it. Additionally, the "netted" part of the cargo net does not extend from side to side. You get only approximately 2/3 of the width of the trunk. The remaining 1/3 of the space have only the stretched bands that hold the net in place. It is held on by clips. So you can remove the clips to regain full access to the trunk. Leverage wise, if you want to put a heavy item in the net, then instead of being able to drop it near the edge of the trunk, you have to extend that heavy item towards the center of the trunk. And that now involves navigating the roof of the trunk. What was Honda thinking? -- - Stereo: The stereo leaves much to be desired. I have heard worse. And although the Accord's stereo is not bad, it could and should be better. I also have a 2003 Nissan Sentra, and the Sentra's stock stereo is easily better than the 2020 Accord's stereo. Note that the Toyota Camry and the Nissan Altima's stereos are of equal fidelity. They also sound similar, but not exactly the same. One of them (can't remember which one) had a hump in the bass that was not good. At first, you might think "Good bass". But after a while, you think "That rumble is annoying". When it comes to stereo equipment, and you hear something that stands out, it might at first seem engaging. But it almost always becomes a nag. ----- Although all of the above are complaints, please note that they are all minor, compared to how amazing this car is. Any car at any price will have things that customers find bad or annoying. Honda is not perfect. But they are close to perfect. Their cars are reliable, fuel efficient, and drive great, and do so at a very fair price (never pay close to MSRP -- you can get almost any production car for at least $3,000 below MSRP if the car is on the lot). The car market does not considered this a luxury car! However, I agree only on a few points; they could make that Apple car play wireless, and the corner-cutting on the mirrors not having a turn signal built in could be on Sport model (a safety issue). Just a thought...👍
I would try cleaning your backup camera. Mine is little blurry at night but clear during day. Also try taking it off wide angle. If this is the best you can come up with to hate i think it says a lot about how great the car is. Yes their is a few things could have been done a little better but for the money i think honda nailed it. Love mine
any recommendations for the terrible seats? I know you don't have a LX like me. It didn't bother me on a 10min test drive.. but 20-30-45mins... terrible. painful. ruins the whole experience for me.
Your back up camera looks blurry because it’s dusty.. give it a quick wipe and try it again. I have a touring and my speakers sound pretty good for a factory stereo
Unfortunately this car needs something to reduced the outside noise because I can hear the slight wind sound even when the windows rolled up and it really bugs me.
I drove the 2018 and my accord 2016 and their was a bid difference to me. The back seats in a 2018 sits alot lower, seats aren't plush as the 2016 and yes they radio was a hell no for me lol.
You should've purchased the 6 speed sport 2.0t......It's that good!! All the trivial complaints you voiced would be insignificant. The manual is that good!!!
I agree with you except the bass of music. It has only 8 inches stock speaker and it's enough for me. If you want whole car shaking bass and bother your neighbors you need good amp and double 12 inches sub woofers in the trunk. ^^;

I call this nitpicking lol, memory outside mirrors on a Honda! Not all luxury sedans have that even. You probably should have bought a fully loaded certified luxury sedans instead of spending 30+ grand on an accord.

Yes I know I can use Bluetooth. I actually don’t really need car play at all because my car already has navigation built in. Car play is mainly for navigation but for my purpose I really don’t need it. I just think that it should be wireless regardless. Thanks for the feedback.
I am so confused as to why you went this car then. I own a 2018 Honda Accord and I disagree with this assessment. I only have two gripes. #1 I hate how sometimes the Honda Sense randomly will blink brake and even sometimes brake, without anything being in the way. It's only happened twice to me in 2 years but still. And #2 I wish they would have made the side mirrors defrosting along with the rear windshield when you turn it on. Other than that everything else is subjective. Clean your camera lol, adjust your mirrors (how many people are handling your car anyway😂😂😂).
I had to add a sub woofer to my 2013 Honda Civic to give it bass. Additionally, i would rethink about running things wirlessly. all that wireless in your BMW is wi-frying you. What i mean, is it's filling your car with radiation. Get yourself a radiation detector. They are not alot of money.
Great video and nice Accord, but I hate those stupid black strips in between the doors. They always make the car look cheap by making it look like there is a wide gap in between the doors. I never open my car door into another car, even when I lived in the city. Such a stupid invention that looks terrible IMO.

I get the feeling you would complain about too much white in a bowl of rice. Clean your camera firstly, the one on my CRV is just fine. No camera is going to work if its covered in snow or water droplets, how is that a knock against the Accord? Secondly you bought the car with those same tail lights, it’s pointless to complain now. Did you like it then? Finally, stop bitching about what a 70k BMW has that this 38k Honda doesn’t. How many BMW, Audi or Mercedes can you buy for 38k that can match the Touring Accord? Zero!

Overall people who tend to buy an Accord are people who want a very reliable car, with attractive features, at an affordable cost. If you really think about it, many of the standard features that come on the latest Accords were not found as early as 3 years ago, like rear view cameras, Honda Sensing, Turbo engines, Apple play. So Honda has improved their vehicles a lot in the last couple years.

@@Granked idk about the 1.5 but the 2.0T hauls.. 0-60 in 5.4 is pretty fast imo for what you’re getting.. also 280 foot pounds of torque I was always feeling in sport mode, almost the same torque as the M3 with the V8.

Agree with the factory stereo. I upgraded all my factory speakers with component Phoenix Gold and added subwoofers and amp. Sounds great now. Replaced those lights with aftermarket smoked led tail lights and blacked out grill too.

A good stereo should not add anything, and it should not subtract anything.
A good stereo should reproduce the performance exactly as it was created by the artist.
This is a subjective area. I understand that many people want woofers and amps that will blow the roof off of the car. But that is an alteration (and a significant one) of the artist's work.
I take issue with the Accord's stereo because, although it is enjoyable, it never lets you forget that you are listening to a stereo. When a stereo is very good, you hear a wall of music. The speakers disappear. Your ears cannot identify the location of the speakers. You forget that you are listening to a mechanical device. You hear a 3D soundstage with very good imaging.
The Accord does not offer this in their stereo. So it is not great. But it is also not bad.

"Wireless carplay"
Quality audio reproduction is best when wireless is not used.
If you want the best sound fidelity from your car stereo, then I suggest that you play quality .flac files (never .mp3 files) from a flash drive that you connect to your USB port.

Apple (and probably other brands, too) have overcharge protection built-in to their phones. They know when the battery is at 100%.
Now, if you want to allow your phone to periodically drain to a low power before a recharge (which could extend overall battery life), then you have a valid point.
You can remedy most of your stereo and phone battery issues by using a USB flash drive to play music, and plugging in your phone only when you need to charge it. Of course, this will require you to purchase all of your music. If you are not prepared to do so, then I see no other options.
And note that there are countless examples where the exact same song is available on the original release, greatest hits, best of, anthology, remasters (which are often worse sounding), and any number of compilations. And note that that exact same song often sounds different (in terms of "quality") on each of the releases.
But if you put in the time, effort, and $$, you will end up with a music collection that sounds much better than randomly listening to the song from random sources. Also note that purchased/downloaded .flac files almost always sound better than CDs (meaning a .flac made from ripping a CD will usually not sound as good as a .flac purchased from, for example, "us.7digital.com"

The 2018 is a great choice. There are things I hate but there are more things I love about this car, plus it’s a newer look so the car doesn’t look too Old. No regrets, still loving it

I traded my 2016 sport for 2019 2.0T sport with no regret. They fixed 4 of your complaints and added more features on the car... Moonroof along with 252 HP. It's a beast and enjoyable while driving. Don't really care about the base on the stereo because loud ass music will have a negative impact on your eardrums in a long period. Yes, the damn taillights is still ugly as hell. I know they're supposed to modify the back in 2020 or 2021. Overall, Honda is a great car to have. 🤞

Additional features such as moon roof, heated seats, be able to tell you which tires needed air, speed limit sensor on the dashboard while driving, and my favorite part of the vehicle is to use a sport mode when accelerating. It's worth it, but I still don't like that ugly ass taillights for sure. 😁

These 5 things were literally all there before you bough the car. If you found stuff later that's one thing but to complain about things that you would have known had you not been lazy to do research before dropping $35K on a car...well, that's on you. Ok, number one. As others have already mentioned, CLEAN your camera for the review! If you have it cleaned it will be just fine. I just test drove one the other day and it’s perfectly clear unless the sun is going down and shining directly at the camera but that’s normal for any camera. 2, wireless CarPlay may sound nice but believe it or not it’s actually better to have it wired use only because when it’s in use and your streaming music from your phone, your battery is gonna drop 30% depending on how long it’s on so it keeps your phone charged. 3, your phone battery is not going to go bad if it’s always at 100%, it actually gives your phone battery more longevity like A LOT. 4, bro if you think one of the main styling characteristics are ugly then why buy it??! You should love every bit of the styling characteristics if your willing to spend $30k on a car. To complain about something so trivial as thinking the tail lights are ugly when you OWN THE CAR is just 🤯. 5, the bass is super mediocre and hardly there. In fact it’s actually more non existent now then in previous models, however, the sound quality is much largely improved. 6, the memory seats/mirrors, 100% agree there are plenty other vehicles at this prices point NON luxury AND 15 years older that have the mirrors attached to the memory of the seats, it really just doesn’t make sense that it’s not either. Btw this is why they do test drives before you by it, so you can figure the things out that you don’t like right away. Such as if you were to say the seats are too hard. Again something you shouldn’t be complaining about if your purchased the car. There are many things that you need to be ok with 100% before purchase. If you complain about something you can actually change them your just not that intelligent when it comes to the car buying process.

I actually used to work at a honda dealer and I know exactly what I’m buying. I was an internet sales manager / fleet manager / finance manager and I’m aware of what I’m buying. You may have to take it to the dealer. Mines isn’t blurry. Your car my have been wrecked when it came off the delivery truck. Sometimes they let the car roll off two fast and it bangs up against something. That happened to my old car.

My 2016 Honda Civic EX deathtrap. If your Honda has an electronic/electric parking brake it might cause you to crash.
While driving my 2016 Honda Civic EX around 20 mph the electric parking brake engaged locking up and sliding the rear tires. The car was jerking. A light came on the dash saying 'computer error, have the parking brake serviced'. If I was traveling at a high speed and the electric parking brake locked the rear tires the car would go out of control and crash.
The car is unsafe to drive so I had it hauled to the Honda of Cleveland Tenn service department. They worked on the car and the service department manager said nothing they did addressed or corrected the electronic/electric parking brake malfunction. The car was returned to me on 7/23/2019 .
I ask the American Honda Motor Co., Inc for compensation,on 8/4/19 and on "08/09/19 they refused, saying the problem with the electric parking brake had been "repaired". Obviously not true. The brake problem has not been repaired and all these cars should be recalled. I'm sure they did not bother to look into the problem at all. The following is their reply:

@@OneStopGuy I've been looking into an accord but the Altima has a much better entertainment and stereo system.. and I just can't get over that push button shifter either. I would want a 2.0 if I get the accord. I would like to know can you let the car idle and get out of the car and use the remote to lock the doors or touch the door handle to lock the doors while the car is running.. does the Accord allow you to do that..the altima does allow that. Thanks. I have yet to go to the dealership to function test this myself but I've asked several people on TH-cam and it no one has given me a response.
ymmij1973 no it only allows you to remote start it from the outside. It doesn’t allow you to get out and still leave the car on. I know exactly what you mean Bc I used to have another car and I installed an aftermarket alarm and it allows you to do that just in case you want to go out and in quickly. This is for the remote start. Same goes with what you are asking

Those were literally the dumbest reasons to “hate” a car. Wired CarPlay is so much better because when you get a FaceTime you can just unplug and resort to the Bluetooth audio so you can use your camera because if plugged in on Apple car play it won’t let you use your camera. On the other hand, if it’s wireless car play then you don’t have that option to just unplug, you’d have to go into your car settings while driving and switch over to bluetoooth only if you wanted to get your camera to work for FaceTime. Secondly, real Honda enthusiast’s know that Honda do not accel in audio systems. Third, you can clean the back up camera(but who really needs a backup camera) good drivers can relate.

I dont have a 2.0 yet but in the hunt for one. Did my research and that actually is common people have gone to dealers had the swap transmissions n the problem persists. My current theory is software because people who have tuned there 2.0t don’t seem to have that issue. Just my two cents
@@streetsociety2361 It seems that the engine likes to rev high from a cold start (1500 for 10 seconds; 1200 for about a minute, then scales exponentially for about 10 minutes). When above 900 RPM, changing between drive and park is rough. That is what I've noticed. So rather than it being an issue with the transmission, I'm wondering if it's an issue with it idling high. That would explain why a tune would fix said problem.

Lack of bass? Get non stock tweeters and speakers. Nice ones for less than $100. I always change the stock speakers. Another thing is perhaps your back up camera is defective/have humidity or clogged up. Maybe a third party back up could solve your issues. What you hate more can easily be mitigated incrementally. Even all those post upgrades will cost you less than a $60-70k car. Plus your resale will still hold better than a luxury vehicle.

Here are items that annoy me with my 2020 Accord (same design as the host's 2018):
-- Painted door sill:
When getting in and out of the car (especially when getting in), you have to be careful to not let your foot touch the door sill.
If you do not pay attention, each and every time you enter and exit, you will accidentally drag your foot and hit the painted door sill. This results in paint scuffs, smears, and scratches.
Honda offers a cover for the sill. It sucks. It shows scratches, too. And it comes in silver, and only silver. So unless you have a silver car, it stands out, and not in a good way.
-- Camera for reverse:
It easily gets fuzzy or unclear when the weather is bad. This leads to the next issue:
-- Shifts into "Park" when you open your door:
So your camera is blurry, and you cannot get a good sense of a tight spot with your mirrors. What is a driver to do?
With your foot on the brake, and the car in reverse, you open your door to slowly back up while you are carefully looking out the door. A good plan. But Honda says "No dice".
As soon as you open the door, the car goes in to "Park" (and it will not let you put it into reverse while the door is open).
-- Shifting from "Neutral" to "Drive".
You are at a long light. The ground is level and you decide to put the car in neutral. Why neutral? So that you can tap it into "Drive" When the light turns green (or at least that is the plan).
Finally, the light turns green, and you press the "Drive" button. Honda say "No dice".
You must first step on the brake, and while stepping on it, press the "Drive" button.
If this is a safety feature, I do not know what the safety issue is.
The car does have a "Brake Hold" feature. But that leaves the car in "Drive", and it idles a little rough (note that it idles smoothly -- just not as smoothly as it does when in "Neutral").
-- Cargo net:
Unlike cargo nets that I am used to, the Accord's cargo net is bizarre.
Rather than it being situated near the opening of the trunk, it is situated in the center of the trunk, and the elastic bands, that hold it in place, block you from getting behind it.
Additionally, the "netted" part of the cargo net does not extend from side to side. You get only approximately 2/3 of the width of the trunk.
The remaining 1/3 of the space have only the stretched bands that hold the net in place.
It is held on by clips. So you can remove the clips to regain full access to the trunk.
Leverage wise, if you want to put a heavy item in the net, then instead of being able to drop it near the edge of the trunk, you have to extend that heavy item towards the center of the trunk. And that now involves navigating the roof of the trunk.
What was Honda thinking?

Stereo:
The stereo leaves much to be desired. I have heard worse. And although the Accord's stereo is not bad, it could and should be better. I also have a 2003 Nissan Sentra, and the Sentra's stock stereo is easily better than the 2020 Accord's stereo.
Note that the Toyota Camry and the Nissan Altima's stereos are of equal fidelity. They also sound similar, but not exactly the same. One of them (can't remember which one) had a hump in the bass that was not good. At first, you might think "Good bass". But after a while, you think "That rumble is annoying". When it comes to stereo equipment, and you hear something that stands out, it might at first seem engaging. But it almost always becomes a nag.

Although all of the above are complaints, please note that they are all minor, compared to how amazing this car is. Any car at any price will have things that customers find bad or annoying. Honda is not perfect. But they are close to perfect. Their cars are reliable, fuel efficient, and drive great, and do so at a very fair price (never pay close to MSRP -- you can get almost any production car for at least $3,000 below MSRP if the car is on the lot).

I would try cleaning your backup camera. Mine is little blurry at night but clear during day. Also try taking it off wide angle. If this is the best you can come up with to hate i think it says a lot about how great the car is. Unfortunately this car needs something to reduced the outside noise because I can hear the slight wind sound even when the windows rolled up and it really bugs me.

There are some black adjustments on the the doors at the bottom left, just turn them all the way in that will reduce the noise...
I drove the 2018 and my accord 2016 and their was a bid difference to me. The back seats in a 2018 sits alot lower, seats aren't plush as the 2016 and yes they radio was a hell no for me lol.

I agree with you except the bass of music. It has only 8 inches stock speaker and it's enough for me. If you want whole car shaking bass and bother your neighbors you need good amp and double 12 inches sub woofers in the trunk. ^^;

you must be a hard breaker, I never feel nothing... cause I'm a light breaker. but that vibration will be the anti-lock brake system kicks in when brake is being applied too hard
I call this nitpicking lol, memory outside mirrors on a Honda! Not all luxury sedans have that even. You probably should have bought a fully loaded certified luxury sedans instead of spending 30+ grand on an accord.

Yes I know I can use Bluetooth. I actually don’t really need car play at all because my car already has navigation built in. Car play is mainly for navigation but for my purpose I really don’t need it. I just think that it should be wireless regardless. Thanks for the feedback.

I am so confused as to why you went this car then. I own a 2018 Honda Accord and I disagree with this assessment. I only have two gripes. #1 I hate how sometimes the Honda Sense randomly will blink brake and even sometimes brake, without anything being in the way. It's only happened twice to me in 2 years but still. And #2 I wish they would have made the side mirrors defrosting along with the rear windshield when you turn it on. Other than that everything else is subjective. Clean your camera lol, adjust your mirrors (how many people are handling your car anyway😂😂😂).

I had to add a sub woofer to my 2013 Honda Civic to give it bass. Additionally, i would rethink about running things wirlessly. all that wireless in your BMW is wi-frying you. What i mean, is it's filling your car with radiation. Get yourself a radiation detector. They are not alot of money.

Great video and nice Accord, but I hate those stupid black strips in between the doors. They always make the car look cheap by making it look like there is a wide gap in between the doors. I never open my car door into another car, even when I lived in the city. Such a stupid invention that looks terrible IMO.

I get the feeling you would complain about too much white in a bowl of rice. Clean your camera firstly, the one on my CRV is just fine. No camera is going to work if its covered in snow or water droplets, how is that a knock against the Accord? Secondly you bought the car with those same tail lights, it’s pointless to complain now. Did you like it then? Finally, stop bitching about what a 70k BMW has that this 38k Honda doesn’t. How many BMW, Audi or Mercedes can you buy for 38k that can match the Touring Accord? Zero!
