Hello friend, I'm having trouble finding the 16 degrees. I bought a new distributor from China and at the end of its course I don't reach the central mark of the 3 scratches. Have you ever seen anything like it?

Hi, I have only ever used genuine Honda distributors. It sound like you have an issue with the new distributor itself. If you take all the bolts out and rotate it... can you get to the correct timing? You cpuld then cut slots where the bolts go on the distributor and then tighten it down. Not ideal, but possible. Thanks

When i Bridge mine and set the timing. When i take out the wire and check timing its showing off the middle mark when i unbridge it.

Using this wire bridge... locks the timing, which is why yoi ser the timing with the dizzy like this. Without the bridge the timing wil change... and will therefore be impossible to time as it would be a moving target.
So dont worry is what I am trying to say... you are all good

Ok no probs. Always worth checking the distributor bolt torque.... I have seen the bit on the distribitor which the bolts go through get messed up by people using the wrong bolts too. Either way good luck!
