    Dear Refine Movement, I am always impressed with people that are willing to take their time off a busy life to try and help people to be able to do their own maintenance and not pay the big bucks to someone else to do the job. I notice that most people that are showing how to do this timing on the Honda, have most of the instructions spot on but I have yet seen any to get one detail exactly right, they are always very close but are not spot on. When I am doing something I want it to be perfect.
    Here is where most people do not get it quite right. If just looking to line up with only the v-notch with the red mark then it depends on what angle you are looking through that notch to make it accurate, this is the reason they put also a pointer below that v-notch. So, the way to do timing accurately, we align the v-notch with the pointer then the pointer at the red mark. I hope this will help the perfectionist. I think I will put this information on the other TH-cam video that I see, to help other perfectionist.

    I'm Sop Glad you did a video on removing Header studs. I have looked all over the place and not found any help on how to do that. I tried the vise grips but kinda stripped the threads on the stud. So I gave up. But now it's a mod I can look into thanks to your video. Love the videos but mostly the cars. #momodsmoproblems

    Leaking exhaust gases from the manifold would cause that smell too. I had it in my Ralliart Colt when the aftermarket manifold cracked. I found a huge power gain from sealing it up (with a better manifold and new gaskets). Turbo cars hate exhaust leaks pre turbo :P.
    Sounds like the EK is pretty sorted Trav, minor jobs for better feel is where you want to be. Understandable that more power is always wanted, but I like the way both you and Robbie are going about things. Keep up the good work.

      +Alex Bowyer that definitely could be why I was smelling gas probably a little bit of both. The timing before I adjusted it was actually retarded out of Honda spec.
      I do think the car is getting sorted for sure. I want a well rounded car so I can’t blame the car when I get slow lap times. Thanks for watching man we appreciate it and your comments.

    Hi bro. Is it a must to enable the service mode before timing?

    For the cooling; double core radiator, oil cooler, vented hood. Should be good.

    Where did you get that tool to take out the busted studs? I have two busted exhaust manifold studs that I tried getting out with stud extractors with no avail. I’m pretty sure I have the same issue with the strong fume smell coming from the exhaust manifold even though I run a straight pipe.

      +Free Shavacado it’s a stud extractor off Amazon. The strong fumes maybe from that or your engine maybe running rich or not timed correctly. You’ll smell it even more since u don’t have a catalytic converter.

      Refine Movement bro your my hero!!! I’ve tried the stupid other screw extractors sets to no avail. Sure enough the item you mentioned worked like a charm. Bro your my Superman!!!!

      +R U S S I A I think the power gains from an after market header will be minimal. I don’t think it’s worth the money in my opinion.

    • @russia3728
      @russia3728 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      you are right minimal but you will get more than what you have!! but trust me you will fill the difference..you will see when your friend put that d16z6 on the white hatch with the headers...but I was just saying you get like 10hp out of it.
