I'm doing this for my older 2011 Honda Pilot. I ordered a ball mount specific to my vehicle from Course Motorsports. It clips between the dash panels for a clean look. I HATE mounts you have to stick to the dashboard using double sided tape, or vent mounts, or suction cup mounts. I too was gonna use it with Apple's MagSafe charger but the white would just clash with the black/dark grey interior, so I ordered a black MagSafe charger on Amazon from JSAUX and it comes with a USB C to USB A adapter. It looks just like the Apple MagSafe charger, just in black. I recently added a wireless CarPlay adapter to my car so this is gonna complete the system perfectly.
Man, this is cheaper than most of the car mount offerings, easy to put together, does "with charging graphic" true 15W, and is slimmer/cleaner than any of them, and that TOZO magnet is significantly stronger than the gigantic/eyesore ESR Halolock. Finally strong magnet, slim/clean (any ball mount you want), 15W charging. Just put one together. Thank you so much!

So I ordered the Renn line RHD M2 ball mount for my F20 and it’s fits like a glove, I routed the cable behind the control panel, and the connector end comes out the little hole for the cup holder light, I didn’t have the light, so works a treat. I disassembled the most recent Renn line mount, removed the little horizontal magnets and used 3M tape to affix the Tozo wireless charger. Mate, it looks amazing, wish you could see the setup! 😁😁😁 thanks again! All the best Jon
How strong is the magnet when you hit bumps in the road? Because the one I had the phone popped off the magnet every time. Best one I’ve found is the Scosche mounts. Hands down best magnet mounts

I tried this setup and was really hopeful it would work. The mount is great but the Tozo MagSafe charger is really bad. It doesn’t hold up a iPhone 13 mini as it falls when you go over bumps. Also have an iPhone 11 Pro with a spigen ring on the back and same thing. Falls off. The charging speed is super slow as well. Very disappointed.

Moment makes a magsafe compatible case for a variety of Android phones that you can use with this and any other magsafe (or derivative) accessories! Apple's magsafe charger uses standard Qi wireless charging that almost all Android phones have, but it's the ring of magnets that provides the more unique use case. I'm hoping more companies will create more accessories. There's so many possibilities!
@@TommyLGarage it can work for Android too. You either need a case that has the magnet ring installed in the right place already, or you can install the magnet rings manually. Apple uses the same qi wireless standard that Android has had for years.
Have you compared this to the actual Apple Magsafe charger? Is the magnet stronger? I have the magsafe charger now and my phone drops off if going on a rough road.
I tried the TOZO charger and the magnet is hopeless. iPhone keeps falling off on the smallest bumps in the road. The magnet is so weak. So disappointed this didn’t work.

My MagSafe worked perfectly fine on my f30 but I really wanted a black one so I got this one but it’s not charging in my car? It worked fine at home when I did a test but it’s just not doing anything in the car :(

Well firstly, you should really were safety glasses and gloves when implementing tile as a grinding instrument... (DONT YOU HATE THAT?). That looks really nice. Unfortunately for me, I have a jacket that keeps 5 cards in the back.. very nice so I don't carry a wallet anymore, except it will not take a magnet now.
When you find a position you like for the mount then sand the ball and receiver surfaces with sand paper and drown them in super glue. That will ensure the mount will never move around in the car.
I have a magsafe vent mount made by Vicseed, and it's shockingly strong. I live in Quebec, we're notorious for terrible roads and it's never fallen off. It's not a wireless charger though
The easiest way to flatten this out is on my sandpaper like floor. Or just find some sandpaper. Update: they literally sell mounts that also wirelessly charge your phone the same way. No need to hack what doesn’t need hacking.

If you place the plate off center, higher in my case (11 Pro Max) it still woks with wireless charging. Takes a bit of trial and error to place it correctly but will work.
I have no idea what problem you are trying to fix in this video. There are plenty of MagSafe car mount/chargers out there. No need to make your own. Besides, why do you even need to mount your phone? I’m sure your car has CarPlay.
Unfortunately due to Apples voodoo, the only way I know to get 15W charging is to use 100% Apple products like the magsafe charger and 20W charging brick. 🙃 Any other solution and you're only going to get 7.5W to 10W max.

The issue with magnet mounts is that the metal plates that attaches to the phone hinders the wireless chargers.
