Yeah, he is toxic, guilt tripping, gaslighting, bait and switching, punishing, invasive, manipulative and abusive. I don't understand why people think he's nice or funny. He's an insecure narcissist who seizes the whole show and makes it all about just him. (Sure, the editing does it's job, but with so much material that goes this direction ...)
For me, another big red flag is the fact that he always blames the girls for the way he feels, like, if he's acting a certain way is always because the other person did something wrong (like they didn't approach him first or they weren't clear about their feelings). It's so exhausting seeing his interactions and worse, seeing the girls fall for him. I also hate the fact that he and the girls have a 10 year difference but he's way more immature, he's annoying af.
If I would be honest I would choose Minkyu. I mean he's the total package, a greeN flag no a whole green forest. A gentleman to all the girls in this season, a shoulder to cry on, gentle, only likes one girl, I DONT KNOW WHY GIRLS IS SLEEPING ON HIM LIKE??? HE'S ALMOST PERFECT! He's hot too but some girls really like toxic men like Gwanhee right? He's a red flag thank god you're all a flag pole😂😂
Gwanlee is the type that girls like, so he's actually doing exactly what he's supposed to. Guys like Minwoo are too nice, and therefore, girls do not like him. You cannot deny this as we see it on the show. Even last season, Dex had all the girls pining for him. Whichever guy has the most "red flags" is the one that gets the girls.

I mean, regardless of what color flag people are given. It means absolutely nothing when it comes to dating and attraction. Gwanhee had THREE girls who were pining over him, so whatever he was doing, is exactly what men will see working and thus follow those steps. If Jiseok had 3 girls after him (and not the most toxic girl on the show being one of them...) then guys would follow his example instead.

Honestly I still don’t see the appeal of gwanhee. I feel like if it wasn’t for his job and fame none of the girls would’ve been interested in him (except maybe hyeseong?) because it’s pretty clear at least 2 of them already recognised him beforehand. He’s the type of guy I think would’ve gotten slapped at least 5 times over if he wasn’t in Korea.
I think Minji ultimately got scared off by Minyoung. I mean, Minyoung was making sure _everyone_ felt as uncomfortable as possible, so I don't blame her for going off with someone else.

I dislike gwan hee with a passion but I'm on his side with how he reacted in the helicopter scene. I mean what would expect him to do? Play along with it and make situation worse, both minji and him were on a date with different partners and it was just straight up disrespectful to both of their partners, she was literally acting like a brat and is immature.

I am a recent 72 year old bride (widow for several years) and I was blessed to find a 2nd man of value to savor love again.
the girls like gwanhee because firstly he always makes them validate him. while doing so, the girls were programmed to like him because you wouldn't validate someone that you don't like.
secondly, he also provoke extreme emotions be it positive or negative and attraction is all about emotions. people like min kyu and won ik, are nice but they are neutral so they don't even enter the women's minds. this is evident in the scene where all the girls we discussing how rude gwanhee was after the campfire incident, yeah they were criticizing him but the fact that they are discussing about HIM and not the others makes them invested. the more someone is in your mind, the more u will trick yourself into liking them because why would u be thinking of someone you dislike.
Meh I feel like the teasing/roasting each other segment is sortve a grey area. I wouldn't say it's a red flag unless it feels like there's some serious intent behind it, like passive aggressive even. It's really dependent on the person. There are girls who can take it and/or dish it right back out but understand at the end of the day its all love. But there's a lot of nuances with it.
