This video is ALL I needed! This guy Gwann Hee almost 40 years old acting like a manipulative teenager is so annoying because everyone finds excuses to like him. "Oh, he was cheated on by his ex girlfriend", "Oh, he is just insecure and needs love"... Noooo, he is a grown man. Nothing justifies that behavior on the show!
I don’t know what any of those women saw in him… no personality, flip/fop affection, passive, insecure, rude and the constant “do you like” questions. He’s a nightmare.
As mentioned in the video, it's the *manipulation* that made them attached to him. I don't see what they see in him too tbh. But for someone who's been manipulated by a guy like him, I really understand how the girls fell hard for him. It really is the little things he said or did (his manipulation) that made them keep going back to him for more, even though they know how terrible of a person he is. I mean they literally dissed him so hard, but still went running back to him again. He made them feel like if he chose one of them, they would be the most special person on earth since he made it obvious that he had many 'options' .. In their heads, they'd probably think "he liked many other girls but he picked ME" so even though they hated his ways, they still wanted his validation. The saddest part is they don't realise it was the manipulation. They feel like they really fell in love with him as a person despite his awful personality. And if you notice, he also chose the girl that showed she had interest in other guys as well cuz he also wanted validation.
There are some things that were twisted by the editors but he did one thing in particular that was really disturbing with Minji and Hajeong: He would push them to see how much they would yield to him but give nothing in return. I know guys that would do this in different ways. It's hard to explain but you can see how he looses interest in Hajeong when she gives in to what he wants. It shows a lack of respect towards women in general and a lack of appreciation. Every woman deserves a man's respect. Not just those who are confident enough to put a man in his place.
The guy is self centered. I first noticed it during his introduction when he said his name 3x. He didn't disappoint from beginning to end. He doesn't deserve any of the ladies. Minji is probably more suited for him as she is the same way but not as bad as him, imo.
Gwanhee could be a true narcissist. Being a survivor of narc abuse I could see all of his tactics the entire show. You have a spot on analysis if him. It's so hard watching young naive women fall into it. Ppl, pls watch videos and learn about narcissistic abuse tactics, love bombing, gas lighting, reactive abuse, all kinds of manipulation. I was cheering when Hye Seon stayed seated at the end and hoping she would not go.
Not everyone who is a player is a narcissist. Narcissists have traits that he doesn't have like an extreme shallow empty personality and no guilt or shame. But Gwanhee is still self aware and feels bad about his actions towards the end. Most men are thoughtless and more insensitive than women. And you can tell he's used to getting way too much attention from woman which is why he tests them and plays with them and doesn't respect them.
@@evap.5121I agree. He's definitely a self centered individual, egotistical, bu not necessarily narcissistic as he displayed care and deep emotions towards Hyeseon.
Gwanhee reminds me of those emperors you see in period dramas. Where his queen and consorts are fighting for his attention. And whoever smooth talks the best is the winner... Lol. Didn't expect to see one in real life.. lol.
Excellent analysis, it reflects my own amateur opinions as well. He was playing too many games in Inferno, compensating for insecurities and maybe overall lack of distrust. I personally feel HyeSeon was the best match for him as far as not just emotional age, but she is able to cater to his needs best without losing her boundaries. Hence the healthy and open conversations they had since the first episode. The other two girls were infatuated by his stature as a professional player, while HyeSeon chose him ultimately as she could his sweetheart nature underneath the playboy facade.
Dr Cherie, you have blown my mind. Over a year of trying to unpack a confounding situationship in vain and now I got ALL the clarity I needed from this one video!
Another great analysis Dr Cherie! It’s so interesting and helpful to see the instances where he used certain tactics. Really fascinating and entertaining to watch your video about this show I haven’t come across heretofore now.
this was a wonderful analysis, when you watch the highlights of the show, you see all the good parts and humor in what everyone says but its great the way you broke this all down to see all the different ways he manipulated the others in this show!
Mhm I would love a video about Hajeong (justice for her tbh!!) because she seems to have the same personality functions as Gwanhee yet is far more charming. I’m curious about the reasons behind this difference in manifestation. And as always: dr Cherie never misses!!
Thank you for the video. This should go viral. You should also cover Transit love S3. Yes! I saw through GH and his psychological game mind with the girl. He kept asking for them all to prove and to do more for them. MJ got hook and she thought she had to play all her cards. Yup! MJ chose him bec other motives. HJ felt bad that she called him out n even apologized which she shouldn't. HS felt like that she had to keep his attention too just at the end she let go.
hey your videos are so cool! i was wondering if you would mind doing a video where you teach us how the 4 cognitive functions work? do we do 16 personality test first? and how do we rank them from dominant functions to bottom functions? and how we can analyse compatibility with friends, romantic partners, etc (basically a simple but comprehensive introduction to the 4 cognitive functions), it would help us make more sense of your videos if we have a solid background understanding. thank you so much!
First step is to observe the patterns of how cognitive functions presents itself, you can do this by watching the examples in my videos. Then come up with your own definitions. Different people perceive functions differently. Once you are confident in identifying a thinker vs a feeler you can start gauging chemistry and compatibility. I’ve created a 101 for compatibility v chemistry here. th-cam.com/video/G3LAJWynrqg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RI7WRWt42QK-Fhb5
“16 personalities” is a simplification of the cognitive functions. Cognitive functions is harder to learn, (and to market). Self test is biased to how you are feeling or thinking at the time. An external examination can gauge your intentions which is more accurate than observing behaviors.
Great video!! Very insightful analysis on how Gwanhee did the things he did during the show. I do think Hyeseon leads with Ne with Fi as her second function as she in the end will go with who she wants regardless whether they choose her or not. But I think she’s developed her functions very well (healthy and mature ENFP) and may also have a well developed FE too
Your observations are good. She does use Ne. 3rd functions can also “lead”. An Fe and Fi hero can use both Fe and Fi. She very Fe leaning, notice HS often responds by reflecting back the person’s values. Listen to her last statement at the final choice gate. She chose GH because he said she was a good person. An externally sourced value. MJ and HJ said they chose GH because their hearts fluttered, an internally sourced value.
Come on, Gwan hee said those whiny things in front of the camera to save his image last minute. Come on he is 36 year old. Bit too old to make us believe that he was 'oh so oblivious' and had no idea he is playing with and hurting people.
Hi there Dr Cheri. Could you please make an analysis on Singles Inferno 2? Seo-eun, So-i and Yoong-jae? Seul-ki, Jin-Young and Jong-Woo? It would be interesting to know if there's an explanation on how every guy overlooked Se-jong. The love rectangles in that season were crazy and worth unpacking. Your analysis would be valued.
I really liked your analysis, I understood a lot of things about the show and people's behavior in general, but I was intrigued about opposites attracting, because there are discussions about it, I particularly have my doubts about a relationship like this in the long run
actually, that women have option to ignore him..because in ep 4 he already said he got interested with 3 girl..but he want to know their personality first..thats why he cant make his decision yet
I think Hye Seon would quickly get exhausted by Gwan-Hee. I hated how he treated these women. I think Ha Jeong is quite toxic, she seems like she has a bad temper and has been in toxic relationships with men she had run after in the past. Idk why I can envision her cursing out her boyfriend and hitting him with her purse 😂😂 their relationship started off combative and rocky and for whatever reason that drew her in. I knew he wouldn’t pick Minji cause she was a bit too confident. He would be spending a lot of his time pursuing her and catering to her when he basically want his own slave.
Amazing analysis, i totally agree with everything you said! I also wonder if he is bipolar because he constantly changes his mind? I mean is this a mental disorder because he seems like a good person deep down, its so confusing? (i think no women should date him)
I wonder why GH treats hyenseon very differently from then other girls. He also said that he was INTJ as per MBTI and hyeseon is ENFP. Do you evaluate them the same?😊
@@AiResearcherPhD hmm. Ok but it would be nice if GH was evealuated in all angles. Though she made a disclaimer and acknowleged the fact that the show is heavily edited. 9 days fiming compared to 12 hours shown witb 12 cast and panelist, for me is too little of data to evaluate externally.
I love your videos! Would you ever do content about personality types beyond dating shows? I'm curious about if it's possible for your type to change. I've taken many different MBTI tests over the last 10 years or so and consistently was typed INTJ...until last month. Last month my result was INFJ. Is it possible that something about my personality changed or was my result different because of the type of test?
I don't think women should line up or chase a man for a serious relationship. They say chasing a man never works out well. Our names begin and end with a woman. Only a women can birth your children allowing your name to continue. I heard this from elders
this show is another proof that women love to compete for that popular guy. it'll be such a major flex for them when they get him over the others. gwanhee's a famous local basketball player. as long as he's not a total d-bag, whatever he does will work on women.
Dr Cherie your analysis are spot on! I think he’s ENTJ though and not ESFP. Since both types share the same cognitive functions you must have got confused 🤷🏻♀️ Let me know your feedback :)
