Lydia gave me glaring neon red flags from the start. Felt vindicated when I found out how creepy she truly is.
The lovebombing was eerie. I would have removed myself too. Lydia is a soft nice presenting sabotager. She is in her 30s so she knows what she is doing.
I found it weird how before we even had that truth bomb, Lydia talks with he girls in a way that tries to turn the conversation to being about her. Like all that “I know how you feel”, “you’re just like me”, “I do that too” shit
Yes, exactly! Even before the "truth bomb", there was something off. It actually even made more sense when the truth came out!
I don’t think I could bring myself to say something like this to someone, EVEN if that’s how I felt. Also, Lydia isn’t paying attention to social cues. Aaliyah was obviously uncomfortable. She also shouldn’t be talking about her past with her “friend.” Aaliyah needs to drop Lydia for the sake of her relationship and mental health. Boundaries at the end of the day
Yes, I believe Lydia was pure evil. Very weird, very emotionally injured. She was trying to undermine her. Toxic friendship, toxic relationships.
I think she's more self-centered and selfish than anything.
Thank you for seeing what I saw. Lydia is still in love with that man and since she couldnt have him on the show, she was desperate to get picked by anybody. Aaliyah was too weak. She let two people manipulate her. Uchee is mentally and verbally abuser. Lydia is desperate, needy and a stalker. I wish Aaliyah wouldve stuck to her decision and just stayed away but instead she allowed Uchee the chase to manipulate her so that he could turn the tables and hurt her back by breaking up. He probably did the same thing to Lydia.
She’s not too weak tho, people were saying she should of stayed regardless she’s strong for storming out without giving UCHE a chance to keep her there tbh
The only thing that was useful to say, was the fact that they slept together a couple of months ago. Without that piece of information, she would've stayed
Why is that grounds for leaving though? Half of that cast probably had sex with someone else LESS than 3 months before getting on that show. How was he suppose to know that the girl he did it with was also going to be there? There’s absolutely no reason to leave unless your incredibly immature and insecure.
@@bell4898 is not about him having sex with someone. Is about the very messy situation she was getting into before even starting a relationship, is about the fact that she was getting in that situation with people that did not respect her enough.
She had the right of making decisions based on all the information.

Yup, we all saw that even though Lydia informed Aaliyah that she and Uche had slept together a few months before the show, she did not share that same bit of info with Milton. In fact, Lydia kind of downplayed the whole Uche relationship when she spoke about it with Milton.

Do you know who I'm angry at? The producers. You know they absolutely knew about the relationship, and yet did absolutely nothing to let anyone know. In fact, I'm willing to bet that Lydia and Uche were expressly told not to say anything. The producers saw television gold, and that was all that mattered.
lol. Producers are not psychologist or whatever therapist. they are PAID to make people tune in their shows.

@@weare9770 I agree that there is plenty of blame to be thrown at the main antagonists, but I'm saying that, once again, the producers are putting the show before the people. I mean, really, who was looking after Aaliyah and Milton while all this was going down?
I’m sorry but stop blaming the producers. Yes they did know and told them not to tell anyone. And later they told them they could. They have a responsibility to make sure the experience is clean for everyone.
Navigating this is the cast response to each other. It all plays a part.

@@weare9770if the concept of the show is love is blind and they knew that some contestants were exes they should of told the people that are falling in live with them about it because it is logical that it would lead to drama later on. But they saw it as a way to get views on te back of black people especially again black woman's pain
The first day In the pods everyone has 15 minutes to talk to each man or woman . Lydia knew day 1 that uche was there , I’m sure her and Aaliyah wasn’t best friends day 1 . So that shows you that she befriend her to stay close to uche in some weird way .

I totally agree! I preferred the other seasons as well. I was surprised by how many toxic people there are this season. It's good for seeing examples of what relationships to stay away from -- but I do wish there were more couples we could genuinely cheer on!

Protect yourself and get away. You don’t owe anyone anything-even if you’re related.
Just because someone is family does not mean they get to treat whichever way. There are certain family members I stay away from and there's nothing wrong with that. It is important that I protect my mental health. The toxic cycle stops with me!

Lol I know this woman. Insensitive and selfish. For sure but I honestly believe she had no ill intentions when it came to Aaliyah and Uche. The show had them intoxicated the entire time which I feel like is pretty obvious. She clearly had feelings for Uche, and didn't fully understand why they didn't work so there were probably some residual feelings but I don't feel like it was meant to be malicious. She's an oversharer and was just drunk and oversharing.
That's how I saw it too. Even not drunk lydia seems like one of those friends who bulldoze boundaries constantly not necessarily maliciously but carelessly.

This girl is sus from the beginning. It gives off Machiavellian vibes. She enjoys twisting the knife. But it's karma for Aaliyah the cheater. So they deserve each other in my opinion. You reap what you sow and like attracts like. Now the world sees neither deserve love.

I feel like I am the only one with this opinion but i don't think Lydia was trying to be malicious. She seemed happy to hear Uche found someone. I think she maybe have accidentally overstepped in her excitement but I also read that a whole hour long convo was cut out and Aahliya was asking her questions. Uche was trying to villianize her and he did succeed in a way. He even asked in the pod who she was interested in her....also he was the one who asked her if they should give it a go again. He asked first. I don't understand why people missed these red flags with this guy but he is a walking red flag. That girl was someone who was trying to move on and she did! Out of all the relationship she was a success story. Uche has tried to even reach out to Lydia and Milton and they have ignored him which milton said he is weirdly obsessive about this relationship. Uche went as far after show when he started back dating Aahliya that she was not the sort of women he is attracted to and treated her badly. We saw this ick behaviour from him from the start!!! Lydia was prevented from saying anything....and who knows maybe she maybe have done Aahliya some sort of disservice in a way but she helped expose Uche for what he was.

I agree, I don’t see Lydia as Malicious. She made it known that her and Uche was in an a cruel relationship while Uche made it seem like they dated a few years for a few weeks.
Lydia is self-centered and yes has ill-intentions. Go re-watch the reunion how she sends glares to Aaliyah. Those looks say a lot. She purposfully chose to befriend her to know more. Try to open you eyes as this video is a cautionary tale about a potential fake-friend and you might miss the signs in real life.
Lydia is a nasty manipulator, she knew very well what she was doing. Maybe you can't see it because you are too young, but don't worry with time you will come to see people's true intentions through their actions and words.

She did try to date him asking if they could start over and he said no. Lydia then goes after two different men because her goal is to get to the second part of the show where all the couples go to a resort together. If Lydia talked about Uche being toxic then Aaliyah would ask Uche about those things and it would ruin Lydia’s chances with him. She didn’t say normal things, everything out of her mouth to Aaliyah from the beginning had me going “wtf this chick is full on bananas!” Lydia definitely stalks Uche and auditioned for Love is Blind after finding out that he auditioned. This environment is a stalkers dream.
