We bought one for our truck tent to take with us. We stayed at a State Park in Texas. The ambient temp was 102 during the day and 82 at night. Very humid at 65%. We used it at night. The same exact setup as in the video. Kept the tent at around 74 all night. Used it for 4 days. Would not go without it. Ice was easy as we were at a park that sold ice. 3 bags per night.About $7 per night. We plugged it into the power pedestal.
I just ordered an IcyBreeze in the exact color combination. Not the best combination visually, but I was looking for the 2 lightest colors. Last thing I wanted was a black top, attracting heat from the sun, and kinda working against the purpose of the unit. Heck, I don't even like seeing that black hose.

Ice has 144 BTU per pound. 30 pounds of ice is 4300 BTU’s. If you use it for 4 hours it’s a 1,000 BTU air conditioner. 2,000 (one ton) pounds of ice melted over 24 hours is 12,000 BTU’s or a “one ton air conditioner”
Does this unit have a way to lock the lid closed, to prevent it opening during travel on and off-road? I hope you make a video on testing the unit. Thanks for the review.
I duct tape a casement air conditioner into one end of our tent and plug it into the power at the camp site. The tent pressurizes and inflates like a kids fan and sheet fort and gets crispy cold.
Looking forward to the tests. A YETI type cooler would make more sense. Have you seen the Zero Breeze? It's smaller, cost twice as much, but it is an actual AC. I'm interested in anything that is low amperage that could cool down at least one berth on my boat for humid places in the Caribbean that can run off my batteries. I have two 16,500 BTU air conditioners, but to run those puppies would take a heck of a lot of batteries and take up premium boat space.
If you're going to the gas station anyway for bags of ice, you might as well see if they have block ice available and try it out with block ice as well.
I could see this company selling just the lid part that could potentially bolt to a persons existing cooler. One could also possibly build their own. ✌🏽

I thought about buying one of these but by the time you add in all the accessories it’s almost $500 and it’s going to go through ice fast.

You could freeze 2 1 gal. milk jugs in your freezer. That thing is 12v? Should be some way to put solar on it.

That battery sure does look like a Makita or DeWalt battery. Do you have either of those platforms to see if it works?
Might be the same size but different voltage. Not a good thing to test.
