In the news today: "Two Swedes found swimming across the ocean. Both were reported to be yelling something about America and barbeque".....
"They seem to be towing a raft of some kind. Containing what appears to be... Cats?" ❤🤣🤣
😂
Carol's face while looking at the brisket sample was priceless.
The burrito is wrapped in a tortilla. Tortillas are quite easy to make if you don’t worry about making them exactly round. They are made out of flour, water, and lard. I would suggest looking at the channel “Views on the Road” where a sister team cooks the best food.
Also, Recky, be kind to yourself when learning to barbecue. It’s a learning process. I understand that some of the cuts of meat are quite different in the US versus every where else (even Canada and Mexico). If you can work with a butcher, let them know what you are trying to cook. I think Mr & Mrs H’s channel in England have been going through a growing process to learn how to BBQ. They are showing some of their difficulties as well. Just be kind to yourself and don’t let any of the critics get to you. In the end, most of them are trying to help and some of them are being “armchair quarterbacks”(criticism with no experience). ❤
Hi Recky and Carol, I live in Amarillo, Texas, and they are building a Buc-ees here in town and the place will be 74,000 square feet. Massive building. The opening date is scheduled for the 16 December, 2024. Can't wait! Thanks for the reactions. Love them all.
Well now, it's about time they put one out here. They need to put a few in Midland/Odessa.
Oh I would love to go, that's my birthday & to be at my first visit to a Buccee's would be great. I'm in NC & we don't have Buccee's yet but they're building one about an hour away but don't know when they're suppose to be opening. 😂
@genamayhew1961 Where in NC? I used to live out in Spring Lake area around Anderson Creek many years ago. I grew up there.
Buccees is beyond words. I swear if I lived near one I’d never cook again. Every thing is delicious and so many options. The brisket is to die for.
I can't tell you how happy I am that they built a Buc-ee's ten miles from my house a couple of years ago. The food is fantastic and the gas is .10 a gallon cheaper than anywhere else close to us. They have a lot more than bbq and jerky. Breakfast burritos, banana pudding, kolache, Reubens, Pastrami on rye, great Tex-Mex. If people show up unannounced, I just go pick up dinner there. They're better than a LOT of restaurants and the prices are really reasonable. Jerky is thin strips of meat dehydrated at 160 degrees plus whatever sauce or spice you want to marinate it in. You can make it in your oven Recky. Just use a sheet pan. It's delicious when it's home made.
Texan here - That cheesesteak burrito is glorious!! I love their chopped beef, but the burrito…❤❤❤ Thanks for the share guys!
I'm one of those who find that Buc-EE's is super overrated by most people, and their food is just OK most of the time. However, when you get the brisket fresh and especially that cheesesteak burrito - it is quite good indeed.
Yes, Josh is a new daddy.
So happy for Josh and his family ❤🩹
Recky, your face shows such emotions. As does yours Carol, but Recky get into the video so deeply that so much passes over his face.
You guys definitely need to check out their Dollywood video!
Buc-ees is incredible. But yes, visit on a weekday.
Make sure you set aside plenty of time on your first visit to Buckee's. There is so much to look at. Food, snacks, gifts, clothes and so much more. I remember my first trip to Buckee's. It is a fun experience. I enjoy your videos and I'm excited for your move. Thanks for the video!
I live in Mississippi and I’m about 2 or 3 hours from one in Alabama. They are always full of tourist. Yes Josh and his wife Gabie had a baby girl named Julie.
She will forever live with a nickname:
Which Julie? Oh, Jolly Julie!
a burrito is a wrap with the goods inside it
Usually ground beef, beans and or rice
I've never been to Buccees, but a friend of mine was down in the Southern US yesterday, and was at the same Buccees that Jolly was at in this video. She said there are around 300 gas pumps there, and the sandwiches are amazing! I suddenly feel the need to drive 4-5 hours just to go there! 🤣
Check out their trip to DOLLYWOOD
Yessir please
Here we call Paddle Tails, Beaver Tails. They are delicious.
I use tortillas instead of bread a lot. They stay fresh longer. Just take whatever you would normally put on a sandwich inside the tortilla and roll it up. Yummy. Much love to both of you and the kitties 😘
Burritos are made with tortillas the are cooked a little bit. Just fill and enjoy.
You two are making me laugh so much. Torture by food. :)
Recky you’re going to be a bbq master❤ Hopefully you &Carol will get to enjoy going to Buc-ees one day.
Thanks for the laughs. Between the size of the bites they take, and the volume of food they consume...just 'sampling' each item...makes my stomach hurt. You two are going to have so much fine striving to replicate some of the food items you've seen online once Recky gets his BBQ fired up. 😊
Come to Kentucky! Not far from anywhere (American standard). A day trip to Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, St. Louis, Cincinnati, ect. Also driving distance to some of our country's best natural beauty. Id love to show yall around!
I tell folks something similar about Montgomery Alabama. We are 2 to 4 hours away from exciting things to do. Florida and Alabama beaches, Mississippi gambling, Atlanta, New Orleans, Savanah 😅😊
I don't know why Josh was so excited about the presliced cheese and sausage. Can literally find that anywhere.
This one is in my area. Yes, the food IS that good.
Thank You for Brightening Our Day and Lives 🩷💕💞💖🫂😍💯❣️🥰🇺🇸🫡🎉❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Bless her heart....I feel your emotion. I am in the US, but no place like that near me lol
What's crazy though about Bucee's is that there are none in West Texas. I would have to travel 6 hours east to get to a Bucee's.
They also have praline almonds and cashews...Buc-ee's chips and candies and fudge as well
I am in Colorado. We just got our first Buc'ees about 6 months ago. I have no idea what possessed me and by family to go on opening weekend. It was insane. However, the hot food is truly as good as they say it is. Myself, I fell in love with the pulled pork. Wow, was all I could say. Buc'ees is a destination and not like any gas station I have ever been to. Now that I think about it, we did not even fill up on gas when we were there. 😂
JOLLY GOES TO DOLLYWOOD is an amazing video
It's ok to skip the ads 😊
I never do skip the ads on Jolly videos. It's always another opportunity to see Ollie being his goofy self.😁
Please don't feel bad, I live in the US and have never visited the places Jolly visits.
Yep, I live in Texas so yes, I live near a Bucee's. And yeah, good for me! 🤠
I just had Buc-ees the other day! My favorite is the fried chicken sandwich, but my husband loves the brisket sandwich 😊.
A Buccees is being built in our town in North Carolina! We are very excited! 😃
CONGRATULATIONS Josh on the birth of your new baby girl.
Saw this video and I'm so glad that you're reacting to this ❤❤ Love From Michigan and it's a beautiful evening. Sending You two a hug 🫂 ❤
Just think Recky it won't be long until you'll be able to make your own brisket. Can't wait to see you on the smoker ❤❤
I'm from tx I live down the street to one of the biggest buc-ees the only place we get gas! Love that place
Cant wait to see Recky BBQ videos, and Carol's Baking videos! Huge fan
no Bucee's close to me but one day I will go to one.... you should watch Mr. H and Friends out of the U.K. they are learning how to bbq and smoke on their new pit
Carol, the tortillas are cooked before they are packaged always. Fresh baked and home made tortillas are off the chart amazing! There are a couple of local Mexican/TexMex places here in our city where they make their own flour tortillas and they are so totally different to the packaged ones you pick up at the store.
Buc ee's rules. Been to the one in north Georgia it was awesome
Samples are standard at delis and ice-cream shops, lol
Locals do use the gas pumps, places like this, Costco, etc. do a great business at the pumps because, typically, their gas is cheaper and they're by the Interstate.
Just had a BBQ brisket sandwich from Buc-ees for lunch today. Yummy. Never had a bad sandwich from there.
Omgosh I forgot you guys were there! I was so intently watching them take a shot of bbq… 🤣
The Buc-Ees near my home here in Tennessee has 120 gas pumps and 22 electric car charging syations
I would love to see you go across America , RV style , it would be fabulous ❤️❤️
If you hate crowds, don’t go there. Especially on the weekends. 😳
I’m really surprised they didn’t like the cherry maple beef jerky in the prior video. I think even that’s delicious!
@@davidgipson906 the flavor was too strong and artificial tasting.
@@appo9357 To each is own. We disagree in that one
@@davidgipson906 that was their reasoning, not mine 🤦🏻
Hi! Thought you'd be interested to know that I'm eating Bucees jerky as I type this. If it makes you feel better, Bucees tend to be outside cities, so getting to one isn't always convenient. If I want bbq, there's at least 15 bbq restaurants, before I get to a Bucees (Texas). It's not a destination but a detour off the freeway. 😊
We are in Gatlinburg right now . We were at that Bucees yesterday and it was packed.
I'm 20 minutes from the one they went to 🙂
I'll think about you during the first bite...
Come to Houston and I’ll show you around.
Soon you guys can make that food your selvs =)
It's so funny, Texan here who drives by Buccees all the time & never been in one. Not sure why. I guess i need to give them a try. The pecans look wonderful.
Watch their trip to Dollywood! More good food and amusement park rides too!
I've never been to Buc-ee's but that looks delicious! Josh and Ollie have such a difficult job lol!
Love the reactions Recky & Carol!
Please keep the United States southeast coast in your prayers as this major hurricane roars to life & takes aim late this week.
I'm praying for you all.
Americans demand great food at a great price. That's why American food is so good! Bad restaurants go out of business quickly.
It sounds like you need a Buc-ee's in Sweden.
Howdy from College Station. Buc-ee's was founded by an Aggie of course. 👍👍
@@77poolbob52 Whoop!
Now u see why I said u guys should move here to have access to all our awesome foods
I live about 25 miles from this particular Bucees. If you do decide to come to the States, don't overlook Tennessee. We have the tourist meca around the Smoky Mountains that includes this Bucees.
Don’t know who is struggle more watching this, Recky with the jealousy yet amusement seeing the interior of Buckies, or Carol dying a little knowing she hasn’t tried the Buckin’ sandwich. To be fair, most of us are struggling through watching this and I live in the US on the other side of the country 😂
Could at least Recky’s cogs turning how to possibly replicate some of these recipes.
Texas has the largest buc-ee's location in the world.
Never watch these on an empty stomach, because it always makes it worse when hungry! I try to eat when watching these
We gotta figure out a trip here for you guys, or just citizenship lol
❤ I recently found out that we have a Buccees here in Kentucky ❤
I live a little over an hours drive from that Buccees
Two Swedes with barbecue sauce on their faces go to Dolly Parton's Dollywood with Jolly,,, check it out!😀
There are lots of people here in Texas that sell BBQ and smoked meat on the side of the road. I've never been brave enough to try.
Before long Carol will be critiquing Recky's Buking Sandwich! :)
It’s not just Really Good-it’s Buccin’ Amazing!!!
BTW! If you season & grill pineapple, you’ll be buying way more than 1 a year!!! Whether you go Asian, Sweet & Spicey, or dessert-it’s The best way to eat it!!!🥰
Theres a buc-ees in houston that the longest carwash
This is the 5th time I’ve watched this video 😂
3rd for me haha
Hey, since you wear a 101ST shirt, check out the video. The 10 toughest days in the military AIR ASSAULT got my wings in 1991
It is even worse to watch them when you know how it tastes.
I hate that I'm in Lubbock. Buc-ee's has REFUSED to build here. Thanks, Rip Griffin.
In Tennessee ... Not just Texas.
👍👍
Gas station BBQ is hardly new & predates Buc-ee's. By the way, gas station tacos (taquerias) are some of the best street tacos you can find. But you have to read the reviews to find them. Carol, the bread is a special soft bun they make. It is hard to explain. Like a brioche but not really. There are very soft bun made at some BBQ joints & a lot like that. Buc-ee's is interesting their business model is 'da bomb' but you will want to go other places to eat more. Try Buc's once or twice. Plan a few hours the first time which is insane for a convenience store. Do visit the bathroom & buy some art work while there.
I have every intention of sending y'all buccee nuggets and jerky someday ✨️ Some shirts too 🤗
If that was at the Crossville Buccee's I just got to go! It's amazing there, 1000%
It's hard watching these videos. All I used to eat is beef and pork but Im now allergic to all mammalian products
sorry to hear that
Not new in the US
I don't understand why you guy's don't eat first then record. It's sad to see you miserable ❤❤😢
Make getting your passports and green cards some of your new year's resolutions.Carol there are 2 different style tortillas.1 like they had is soft and flour based the other is harder, cracks and is corn/masa based There are machines that let you make your own flour ones.If you go for it get a big one. There should be Mexican cooking videos that show how to make them
Open a Buc in Florence S C.
It's a gas station and food store 🏪.
But it has SO much more than just food. Clothing of all kinds, camping and fishing items, kitchen items and what I call gift items. It would be so easy to spend 3 or 4 hours on there looking at everything. It is truly an experience.
