Don't feel like you have to explain your tears, they're part of our family. I lost one of my heart-kitties in late 2021. I still break down crying when I talk about her too much. We do understand. Trust me. It only shows how much of an impact her life had on your lives. And that's a good thing--she gave you years of memories. Those are worth the tears.
Oh Carol ,PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take us on a field trip with you to hunt for mushrooms!!!!!! That would make my whole year ! You could teach us soooo much !!!

Every time you get emotional over losing your fur babies you honour the memory of their life with you. You never have to apologize for that. Losing a loved one is sad and hard. I lost my 11 year old Labrador (dog) just this past April. It hurts every day but I know she had a good life. We feel their absence and it's ok to be whatever you need to be to get through it. Carol...you and Recky are not spoiled....you are loved and appreciated for the joy you bring in front of that camera. I'm here for the ride. Let's get moving and planting ❤

The table runner is called the Log Cabin pattern. I have a wedding quilt in that design that was made by my mother and my aunt, both now deceased.

For the boxed brownies, substitute the *WATER* for *MILK* and they will be SOOOO much better and less dry! I also under bake mine a tad bit so they don’t get hard when they cool to room temperature. Enjoy!

Ghirardelli is GREAT brand to use in brownies. Their brownies ARE more expensive to make than the box mixes you've received before, such as Duncan Hines which tend to be sweeter than the Ghirardelli brownie recipe I've made before. Both types are good in their own way.
U.S.Thanksgiving is the 4th Thursday of November; it's on the 28th this year. Canada has a Thanksgiving and it is in October - Monday October 14th.

I live next to Buffalo Trace Distillery here in Kentucky, Their Whiskey is really good and their spice mixes are phenomenal. You will enjoy that bottle of spice. The Black Cherry spice is great on a Ham and on Chicken.

Not *ALL* American BBQ uses only salt & pepper. For instance, pork ribs typically have either a dry rub or sauce. There's others that get some spices too.
Edit: I know how you feel about Moa. When I lost my last kitty, I found myself looking for her at times when I was moving around the house. It was so hard. I still miss her immensely. Never feel you have to hide your tears from us.
for bbq'ing, you can use whatever seasonings you want, not just salt, pepper and garlic lol

That big box of Ghirardelli is from Costco or Sam's Club. That's what you can look forward to when buying in bulk :). Sorry but I disagree with the comments about salt & pepper only when smoking meat. MANY people use a spice blend as do many restaurants. Some like Franklin's and Goldee's BBQ sell their spice blends so it's not like you HAVE to do salt & pepper only when smoking.

@ReckyandCarol Thanksgiving is on November 28th,this year. Thought you would like to know. I checked my calendar for you to make sure I got the date right. First time since I’ve been born it hasn’t been on the 24 or the 25, or Atleast that I remember. lol. Just seems odd to me to have it on the 28th. But maybe that’s just me.

All those spices you got you can use as dry rubs and you have to think when you cook a long time on a grill those dissipate and just the essence remains so tasting it sometimes it is intense at first, but it’s great on any barbecue or smoked meats

There are no rules.. put those spices on anything you want! I bet the black cherry Chipotle would be good on pork. When I bbq I like to rub the meat with mustard (not beef) and then season

Whatever pork you bbq….. 100 percent cover your meat in those spices sent to you. Let it set for 24 hours in the icebox
