    Motoring Journalist Rule #114: always claim electric steering is worse than hydraulic even though nobody can actually tell which is which.

    • @StephenMorganCanada
      @StephenMorganCanada 8 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      But you can. Easily.

      Agreed.

    • @doodskie999
      @doodskie999 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes you can, aside from the missing fluid reservoir and pump, the feel is there but not as good as hydraulic

    • @StephenMorganCanada
      @StephenMorganCanada 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly the feel is there, but it is not as linear and progressive. One can easily get used to you, but when I jump from my electrically assisted car to my pure hydraulic the benefit is immediate.

    So, you know why the DB9 has slightly changed over this 12 years of production? Because it didn't need a massive change to catch the eye of pedestrians and buyers. The car is beautiful, period.

    Never watched this guy before, hes good. No annoying voice etc, watchable haha. They chose not to use the DB8, just skipped it. Whether it was the name not sounding too good (as if DB11 does) or something else, no idea.

    Love Aston Martin, saw the DB11 at GoodWood FOS and its stunning, has a real touch of the One77 about it and the cabin is fantastic, updated and high tech and still Aston, the Aston guys on the stand seemed almost grateful they use Mercedes tech in the cabin now haha. If I win the lotto buying a DB11 would be done in the first week!

    The cutouts only amplify that.

    Hummm, Still a big fan of Aston but not keen about the new design. The front lights makes the car looks sad, and I'm not sure about the front wheel arches. The dashboard reminds me the first Vanquish, not really sexy. Not bad at all but the DBS and v12 vantage remains the post 2000s most beautiful Aston IMHO. Anyway, Aston is still so classy !

    I wasn't sure on the DB7 when it came out, then I liked it. I wasn't sure on the DB9 either, then I loved it. I wasn't sure on the DB11 when the first pics were released but then I saw it in the skin.... oh shit, the DB11 looks good! It's a definite grower and looks a million times time better in person. Change is always difficult, but I think the new car is fantastic. Aston just seems to be going from strength to strength. All they need to do now is start winning their category in the WEC xD

    • @Nemoticon
      @Nemoticon 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I was in a different mindset when the DB7 came out. I was a massive fan of the old Vantage with the twin superchargers... as great as Aston are doing right now, I kind of miss their old 'cathedral' approach to super-GTs.

  • @abdjr.247
    @abdjr.247 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    The only thing I don't like about the DB 11 is the rear end, it just looks awkward, the vanquish rear end looks better. I hope they fix the look with the new Vantage and Vanquish.

  • @alexthompson5172
    @alexthompson5172 8 ปีที่แล้ว +29

    downsizing does always suck, since it shows the manufacturer has given in to nonsence eco-mentalists. Anyway, the DBS is better in every single way (appart from the power but 510 is plenty)

    I think the front 3/4 view is gorgeous - better than the DB9.
    But I hate the rear end. Looks like a Ford C-Max, a little.

    I know looks are subjective but I think this thing is gorgeous, just as pretty if not prettier than it's predecessor

    Early DB9 is still the best looking DB model ever! The second is DB6, third - old DBS.

    I think a snicker bar could fit nicely in the door pockets.

    Idk what he was saying about the looks I love the new look because though all astons are beautiful, they also all look extremely similar because aston has found a formula. this car breaks away from it a bit while still being unmistakably an aston martin. in my opinion the vanquish is the best looking aston but the db11 is right behind

    Downsizing isnt always a bad thing as seen on the new AMG GT. It has a smaller engine but more power than the sls

    The DB9 GT looks way better in my opinion. Plus i guess you can't have it with a stickshift..
    I can't afford it anyway so it shouldn't bother me. lol
