He said it was difficult to do, and hard to pull off. But all they did was take some old clips. It's setting up for a disappointment. If he instead said that some footage from the other two channels would be featured in the video, then it would have been fine.
It's not because of the old videos, it's because of how it was presented.

I'm glad you mentioned the polygon reduction for the characters as they move farther away. On a large enough screen this stands out and I wasn't sure if this was normal. I wish there was an option to stop this

Julian Harrison Thank goodness I wasn’t the only one. It’s the same with Beta 64’s DKC vídeo. 1 new thing while Shesez I don’t know and A+start’s was the same. The only one with NEW content was Low poly.
Actually, in Beta 64's video, both him and Shesez clips were new ones.

It's kinda cool and convenient though, so that you get to see everything each does on the same game in one video! I think they should do more of these!

I remember that early Diddy Kong Racing footage! A friend of mine gave the tape to me as a present, and you just imagine my mind being blown after seeing it (after having completed the game beforehand).
That was 20 years ago, when I didn't even know what beta footage was. So I was trying to unlock these areas in the game but never succeeded.

It never fails to impress me just how incredibly talented programmers were in the 90s.
It seems that a lot of you are upset over them re-using old clips and putting them in one video, but I think it's a great idea! I love to watch Shezes, Beta64, and A+Start's videos, but I'm pretty new to their channels and I haven't seen all of their videos, so it's really convenient to see what each of them do with the same game in one short video. I personally would like to see more of these, whether they use new clips or not, because it's a great way to explore the entire game in one easy way.

Hey here's the problem with all 3 of the new colab view and I do hope u share this comment with beta64 and son of a glitch. The problem is these episodes from the other channels have been up for a while. I have no reason to watch something I've already watch months before. But I enjoy all of the new content In every episode, like dk returns with the volcano part. That's new and part of a collab, but reusing episodes from a while back and calling it a colab isnt right. Anyways I do enjoy the actual colab part in some of the other channel. Keep up the great work!
I love how I found all 3 channels separately over the years and then they all started working together.
I did not expect the old clips to be used. Maybe to make the video better, it could be a regular boundary break episode and side track a bit to have A+Start or Beta 64 talk about other things related to your discoveries. Just a little suggestion although editing and recording might be hell for that idea. Of course this is the first video, so I don't mind it at all. I love you guys and I hope for more collabs like these!

Oh man I loved this colab so much. The only improvement I would have loved to see was some unique transitions between the three of you (Screen Glitching, Boundary Breaking, Easter egg, ect), but that is such a minor nitpick it doesn't even matter. I hope we see more of these!

Damn ... and I thought I have finally the chance to see what's at the bottom right corner of the race track selection screen.
You see, in that corner is a picture which you can barely see if you switch very quickly between the race track above (Challenge of the Dragon Forest: "Smokey Castle") to the diagonally lower left race track (Trophy Race of the Future Fun Land). In that place it should be the challenge from the Future Fun Land, but something doesn't exist in Diddy Kong Racing (N64 version).
Since I was a little kid, I saw that picture everytime and tried to see it completely, but it's impossible without such "Boundary break" shenanigans.
(Everytime I saw this picture, I imagined some Challenge level for the Future Fun Land. And it goes even further: in the level "Spaceport Alpha" I remember some weird hole behind a wall at the Starting line and thought a Wish key could appear in that place to unlock the challenge. Maybe it was even the case in some point, but there's no key ... maybe it was cancelled during the creation process?)
I hope our Gentlemen "Shesez" sees this request eventually, shows us the mystery behind it and solves one of my last videogame secrets which I could never forget. :)

lmao why are the Beta 64 and A+Start clips just pulled from their episode pf the game? Was the point of this just to increase the length of the video? If so that's really disappointing.
This collaboration is basically a match made in Heaven because whenever I think about one of you I think about all three of you
T.T. is a character in" Diddy Kong Racing." He's a lobby secretary in the Adventure Mode. He also appears in Time Trial Mode. If you beat him in every track, you unlock him. He is extremely fast. To the point he is extremely overpowered.
As a kid, I never unlocked him. He was way too hard. I never even beat him once as a kid. I know people might not agree with me, but in my opinion, he was a Canary Mary from Banjo-Tooie on steroids.
Back in the day, T.T. appeared with Mario in an old Club Nintendo comic. And Rare hasn't completely forgotten about T.T.. In "Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts 'N' Bolts," there is a character named "Trophy Thomas," nicknamed "T.T.." He also has a passion of records of time like T.T. in Diddy Kong Racing.
My favorite character in Diddy Kong Racing isn't Banjo, it's T.T., which is why I made a custom amiibo of him.

The first part of the audio of all three is fortunately brief,

Looks like The triforce of TH-cam came together shesez is the triforce of courage Beta 64 is the triforce of wisdom and A + Start is the triforce of power.
That sounds about right. But does that mean A+Start is the lord of darkness and Beta 64 is a damsel that occasionally does cool stuff?

I was a little disappointed it didn't have as much of the boundary breaking as other vids, but it's great to see a collaboration of small, independent TH-camrs coming together in an episode.
Also, wasn't there a DS version of Diddy Kong Racing? That's the one I remember playing as a kid.

The Snowflake Mountain area is very diferent with that bridge (more halls?) and Dino Domain entrance in the beta looks great, no idea of that glitches, the only one i remember it was from a early version acording to club nintendo magazine in Snowball Valley, always thougt Krunch is the name of the DKC cocodriles but is actually Kritter hah
On the subject of game breaking glitches. When I played this game for the first time as a kid, I loaded into the hub world at a point to find that the Wiz Pig doorway had its lower lip stretched forward way out into the hub world. I got scared and reset the system to find my save data corrupted. I had to start the whole game over, but was then able to complete it normally.
