In my opinion, as long as content like this comes with proper warnings, such as tags or an in-text/comic warning, it's taking as many precautions as can be reasonably expected on an internet that is always going to have co-mingling age groups, and children being on the internet shouldn't mean adults should be unable to create art with mature, or even graphic topics. It's adults' responsibility to teach younger people about what tags mean so that they can properly consent or not consent to what they're about to read, and it's the children's responsibility to curate their own experience. a child's failure to do this isn't the fault of the creator, but is almost always either the fault of the lack of education generally given to younger people on the internet, the fault of social media infrastructure for changing rules in a way that prevents artists from properly warning viewers about their work (for example, nsfw artists on twitter rarely blur their images because it may make a difference in the algorithm on whether or not they get to pay rent that month), and artists who don't give appropriate warning about the content of their work. this artist, borba, is none of the above, since he posts his work on DeviantArt, and hides his darker work behind a content filter.

There was one bl i tried reading recently and the art was so disastrous. Like from frame to frame the neck/arms/legs/torsos were different lengths, the heads were tiny, the hands were huge, the backgrounds were all cg, so even though i was interested in the plot i dropped it to not abuse my eyes any longer. As they say in Korea, buying eyes that haven't seen it 😭😭😭
@@voice_0f_reason recently saw another few where they couldn't even be bothered to draw a hamburger/a cookie/a coffee cup/a boook....... i understand time constraints and that backgrounds are usually drawn by professional bg artists (even in manga they have specialized assistants for bgs and coloring etc) but then at least draw the people perfectly and some small stuff lol this is just a little too much 😅
Here’s the thing, and I say this as an R18 comic artist - fetishes are fine in concept (provided they aren’t like, glorifying abuse in an uncritical way) but YOUVE GOT TO TAG THEM and only post them where appropriate. Man, like I cover my R18 posts in tags and “18+ ONLY FOR ADULTS SEXUAL THEMES [insert list of tags here].” It’s due diligence and people NEED to make that due diligence. The other problem is, and this goes with part of the reason people DONT do that due diligence, is they are so obsessed with clicks that they are churning out low effort garbage they are just throwing it where they will get eyes whether it’s appropriate for the age demo of the space or not, and whether or not they are actually invested in the thing they are making. I feel like that also kind of lends to some of the shock value shit like ridiculous violence or racism. It’s for clicks, not for actual investment in content, and it bums me the fuck out. But I don’t really know what the rest of R18 artists can do to discourage it without putting an even bigger target on our backs.
I'm not gonna kink shame, and compared to a lot of stuff piss isn't *that* bad BUT KEEP IT TO YOURSELF OR AT LEAST SHARE IT IN A PLACE WHERE IT'S DESIGNATED AND EXPECTED 😭
Webtoon is getting worse and worse I wanted to make a comic on webtoon, which has angelic characters have funny adventures but no longer want too because the site is getting gross
i dont know anything about the internet art community. but i love your videos explaining what is going on in that world. most of all your sense of humor is AMAZING. dead pan comedy is my favorite and dead pan masters are the best.
I mean a lot of the stuff on the internet is cringe but I'd rather it exist than people be censored, as long the author is not calling for people to do certain actions in the content they portray in IRL( an actual call to action) its all fair game in art. We will make fun of the cringe and praise the good and move on with our day
Some of these comments make me wonder if people think that the internet is strictly a family friendly place and that all hentai should be legally banned. Like geez if the author attempts to warn people that its 18+ and doesn't market sex or fetish stuff to children (or makes it ABOUT children) then whats the problem. I saw this one video making fun of booktok, and i thought it was going to be a funny video making fun of cringey books that are overhyped and the gooners who read them, but instead it was a girl literally shrieking at the top of her lungs that booktok books are disgusting because they're porn and basically having a meltdown at the idea that anyone would ever read an erotic novel. Not because they were abusive, glorifying bad things, or badly written or anything, but just because it's porn. Like she was seriously peaking the microphone with how loud she was raging about it. And all the comments were agreeing! Like geez do people these days want to live in a freaking puritan censorship world? At least laugh at the cringe and stop taking everything seriously. Imagine having a screaming meltdown over some DeviantArt foot fetish pic. At that point you look more deranged than the person who made it.
@@spacecadetkaito i feel like a lot of adults never reached their adult brain sadly, so they demand strictly family friendly places and media, which is ducking stupid. this video it self is basically calling for censorship, which is always a bad idea but as long as they get their way i guess its okay in their head 🙄 (they will eventually get censored themselves tho, since censors always find a new problematic topic to deem too much)
real!! maybe i just value art a lot but i don't believe art deemed as "cringe" should be sanitised from the internet just because people find it gross. it has a right to exist passively as long as it's not literally illegal or justifying harmful content or whatever. honestly i think the whole "waahghh cringe" 2016 phase of the internet just made everything worse off cause now we have people getting so upset that any nsfw content exists at all, no matter if it's in an explicitly nsfw place or not.
Honestly some webtoons are a hit or miss but wtf are these that you posted I did NOT need to see that😭 man now I’m second guessing on my webtoon that I was writing and working on
This video came up next on auto-play after my watch later ended. Was in the other room and heard your voice and instantly thought, "This man needs to do voice over narrations or audiobooks."
I don't think it's right to censor art (or writing) as long as it's not, like, encouraging or justifying illegal/harmful behavior. There SHOULD be content filters to prevent people from seeing explicit content when they don't want to see it, though. I don't care if people make spicy webcomics, but they should have proper warnings, and I think the platform is oftentimes more to blame than the creators. If a platform isn't meant to be kid-friendly, then there needs to be mature content filters in place so people can properly tag their posts.
I remember watching the video on the zootopia comic (no, I haven't read it myself) and it was, from what I recall, actually pretty down to earth in terms of the characters' reasoning and actions. Heavy, yes, but also reasonable.
tbh there's a limit there's friendlies to moderate and degenerate it's my personal opinion on depending the arts sometimes embarassing yeah can't control someones decisions
Yeah ads don’t seem to care about what you’re watching. Internet is just you watchin’ a meme, ad for warfare and famine, then the compilation in the meme screams at you to give it money, a soft-core porn ad, cute animals, a long description about some car- Just RANDOM and variably emotionally charged crap that makes you unemotional to endure ifs constant stream of crap. To add- SOMEHOW the webtoons for the netflix show “The 8 show” or money game was allowed on. The shit was depressing and traumatizing as shit. And the original also looks. Like. Yeah.
There needs to be a specific place to post and view such content so this can stay off websites minors and sane people use. Time to watch cat videos now.
I read a lot of webtoons and I’ve only seen one thing that I thought was weird. It was called Men of the Harem and a queen needed them to save the world or something like that. I read 2 episodes then promptly ditched it. I’ve never seen anything to this degree of weird.
People can write and draw whatever they want. If they want to make 'nasty, fetish smut'.. go right on ahead, knock yourself out. Explore the form, explore sex, explore fetish. Go wild. You have interacted with this sort of material, its going to be advertised to you. Suggestive artwork, characters in suggestive situations, etc will get you advertising of these comics. The artists behind comics like those are not trying to 'normalize' it, that is literally giving them too much credit on being malicious. Most of the time, the artists and writers are 100% average, normal people who are perfectly friendly. If they pay for advertising, it isn't their fault they get slapped onto a place that seems inappropriate by the webtoons host. Honestly, you think they have direct control over exactly where and who they advertise to? Either way, the artists are pandering to an audience that already has that interest. Fetishes/whatever involving relationships with relatives are super, super common. Fiction can depict real life-like situations, but fiction is not real life. Fiction does not equal real life. It hurts no one if the age appropriate adult with those fantasies engages with this media. Policing artistic spaces, even ones you think are bad or gross, is exactly how we get banned art and banned books. Banned school subjects like sex ed. Its all conntected. I read so many books I thought were way too extreme in high school as required by the curriculum, they involved people starving to death, murder, blackmail, r*pe and adultery, psychological disorders, and more. And half the books involved cast that were strictly children. Would I want my kids to read those books? No, but they probably would anyway.
Seeing this kind of thing is too much fun for me for the simple fact that I PANIC to publish a single normal drawing for fear of being roasted for some detail or something. And then there are these creators making entire series of webcomics with super questionable themes or tastes. Maybe I should upload content without overthinking too much, lmao

Okay but that “Loving Aunt” webtoon literally unnerved me so much bro like wtf 💀 the inc3st radar is going so crazy its like Alabama here
BEEPP BEEEPPP BEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPP
its over nine thousand
Webtoon probably likes that inc3st stuff 😭
I have a friend who reads a lot of webcomics so I definitely hear about this type of stuff
The did Sonic, Tails, and Cream’s mother so wrong 😢😢😢
I'm not gonna kink shame, and compared to a lot of stuff piss isn't *that* bad BUT KEEP IT TO YOURSELF OR AT LEAST SHARE IT IN A PLACE WHERE IT'S DESIGNATED AND EXPECTED 😭
Yeah, why people want to show these stuff so much to the public? Keep it hidden
Webtoon is getting worse and worse I wanted to make a comic on webtoon, which has angelic characters have funny adventures but no longer want too because the site is getting gross
There’s other places to make comics! Don’t quit just cause Webtoon as a platform is garbage! They treat their contracted artists like crap anyway…

With how the Zootopia comic ended I kinda appreciate what it was trying to do lol. It's a lot more tame compared to the other ones on here imo

also shoutout to you for putting up with this
my senses are fried for the week
i dont know anything about the internet art community. but i love your videos explaining what is going on in that world. most of all your sense of humor is AMAZING. dead pan comedy is my favorite and dead pan masters are the best.
Why can’t people just post normal drawings …WHY?!
Ikr? People got too ok expressing their weird pleasures online at the point they flood every website with it even if it doesn't allow 💀
@@spacecadetkaitoTHIS 😭
@@spacecadetkaito i feel like a lot of adults never reached their adult brain sadly, so they demand strictly family friendly places and media, which is ducking stupid. this video it self is basically calling for censorship, which is always a bad idea but as long as they get their way i guess its okay in their head 🙄 (they will eventually get censored themselves tho, since censors always find a new problematic topic to deem too much)
Careful, we have someone with a common sense here!
real!! maybe i just value art a lot but i don't believe art deemed as "cringe" should be sanitised from the internet just because people find it gross. it has a right to exist passively as long as it's not literally illegal or justifying harmful content or whatever. honestly i think the whole "waahghh cringe" 2016 phase of the internet just made everything worse off cause now we have people getting so upset that any nsfw content exists at all, no matter if it's in an explicitly nsfw place or not.
Honestly some webtoons are a hit or miss but wtf are these that you posted I did NOT need to see that😭 man now I’m second guessing on my webtoon that I was writing and working on

I STARTED SCREAMING IN HORROR AT THE SONIC ART WHAT THE FUCK MAN
I read a lot of webtoons and I’ve only seen one thing that I thought was weird. It was called Men of the Harem and a queen needed them to save the world or something like that. I read 2 episodes then promptly ditched it. I’ve never seen anything to this degree of weird.
doomscrolling on soundcloud is very relatable
As an artist, I'm horrified

Artists can draw anything ☺
Artists can draw... ANYTHING! 💀
Unfortunately this has been going on for years. My poor eyes. My poor..poor brain. 😭
WHAT WAS THAT FUCKING START. WHAT…WAHT…. 😀🔫
The amount of people apparently thinking that "I don't like it" means "this should not exist" is appaling.
0:45 “I wearing these socks much” ???
Seeing this kind of thing is too much fun for me for the simple fact that I PANIC to publish a single normal drawing for fear of being roasted for some detail or something. And then there are these creators making entire series of webcomics with super questionable themes or tastes.
Maybe I should upload content without overthinking too much, lmao
