The bear discussion cracked me up. One of my brother's has a sign that says "What doesn't k*ll you makes you stronger, except bears, they will k*ll you'.
Julia's sense of humor makes me think she is related to them lol. I've watched the channel since the first peanut butter ribbon candy video. I have to say that I am very happy to witness how the company has changed over the years.
Love watching Steve & Julia working together. Especially on a candy that is so nostalgic for the holidays. Beautiful colors on the ribbon candy & great job as always!!❤❤🍫
I’m so glad you kept going and pushed through the hard times. Hercules candy is the best tasting candy I’ve ever had. I won’t even buy a random candy from the market. I’ll order from Hercules. Please don’t ever stop making candy. ❤
I can’t help but ask and wonder…I know you’re a chat mod but have you met these beautiful Hercules folks in person or are y’all long time friends aka how’d did you all meet? Thank you :)
The ribbon candy flavor was quince, a rare fruit to ever come upon. I loved ribbon candy, buy it was hard to eat -- a napkin had to be handy cos' it kinda made us slobber a bit cos' of the shape.
Fun Fact: Thanks to polar thaw, Grizzlies and Polar Bears have encountered one another and have been known to interbreed.. producing a BEHEMOTH breed of bear with the aggression of BOTH.
I think you should put together boxes of random broken candies for sale. It would give ppl the opportunity to sample such a large variety of what you offer :) I would buy it !!!!
I was thinking the same thing! I'm in Alabama and came across a video (like 15 videos ago! 😂) and I can't stop watching! I would love to sample the flavors and get an order together. 🎉
36:35 so beautiful to see lill human hands doing the job. Please keep this package in a shelter because one day it may become a museum collection on the cyberpunk world 😉 🙏🏻
You could probably just sell the broken parts. Random sizes and flavors doesn’t sound bad to me. But I do also love molasses candy. Interesting how it covers up all the other flavors, I didn’t know that.
Yeah, 50 years ago our local supermarket's candy counter used to sell "21 cents sweets" (South African cents), they would weigh out broken chocolate and candy, and it cost 21c. Still tasted good.
I can watch this all day. Like I'm pretty sure I would hate to do it. But there is something really cool about this whole process. Also these people are so likeable.
I have watched you guys several times but had not subbed, however today I have subscribed as I really find watching your videos relaxing and entertaining. Thank you guys for using TH-cam to showcase your edible crafts.
This is so interesting to me. I absolutely love this kind of thing. I used to work at a donut shop, and i loved making all the different kinds of donuts from batter to fry to decorate and fill. This candy looks so fun
My dad and I used to make this kind of candy in november when I was a kid (Molasse based semi-soft candy) and I freaking love it. We pulled the hell out of each batch to get the same color but we made squares out of it. Absolutely wonderful.
I saw it. Perhaps, you should buy the batch and let us know if you find a lint fiber. I would be more concerned with homemade candy makers wearing their apron to the bathroom
I love your videos. This one makes me think of my grandparents and my Mom. There was always a box of ribbon candy on the Christmas tables when I was young. That molasses ribbon looked so good!
FYI: You were talking about static electricity where you break candy in the dark and see sparks. Rubbing your feet in bed on the sheets and fuzzy blankets in the dark and see sparks. Did you know if you open a "bandaid " brand bandaid in the dark, it will also spark. Love your humor.
My mom's faves were anise, clove, and wintergreen. 😂 When she made hard candy every xmas, she was the only one who ate those flavors. The rest of us ate the grape, watermelon, and lemon. 😉
Polar bears aren't that aggressive. Their hair also doesn't reflect but actually is only kind of clear. But it's thick enough that it looks white. Similarly to how you make candy canes white
" where's the shirt I got yuh" had me laughing so hard reminded me of my mom she's passed on now but she had asked me where the shirt was she got me one time when we were talking about Mickey Mouse and I was like " the blue one I wore when I was like 10?"....I'm 37 I have no idea where that could possibly be now mom 🤦.....🤣🤣❤️
They should have melted down the left pepper mint candy and made mini mint candy in tins menthol in pepper mint is a good throat soother for a sore throat and calms down upset stomachs
My children are benefiting from all your candy making videos I've been watching because I made chocolate almond clusters and chocolate covered potato chips all because of your videos 😂😂😂❤
@HerculesCandy - Polar Bears have hollow fur. It insulates well, but algae will grow inside. The Polar bears at the Tulsa zoo turn light green every summer!
I had to do a double take because I thought I was seeing things at first but Steve wearing a Sunn shirt was really interesting/surprising! Now I have questions 😂❤
Went to place an order but nearly all your candy, especially the chocolate covered items and exclusives are sold out online. The more common stuff is available but I will check back again in a few months to see if inventory has been re- stocked. Obviously business is busy so that’s great 👍🏼
I wonder if a silicone thumb thimble used for sewing would help with the burning while shaping the ribbon. That would protect the thumb without inhibiting the movement of the rest of her fingers.
Hey! Don't be dissing clove, anise & wintergreen!! I must be strange, but I love all three😂 I buy clove candy anytime I can find it. Your videos are a bright light amongst the rest. I wish a wonderful holiday for all of you
Just curious but why not sell the broken pieces in a variety bag to people instead of using many flavors in one batch of candy. When you ship candy there is a possibility of it getting broken anyhow.
i like when these new candy makers work not even 2 years but they think they know better than veteran steve who works this job more than they live :D :D :D
that molasses candy was so beautiful when it came right off the pulling hook. I loved the shades of rootbeer
It really was a beautiful golden brown
I love the colour of pull-taffy, we used to make it with Mummy at home.
The bear discussion cracked me up. One of my brother's has a sign that says "What doesn't k*ll you makes you stronger, except bears, they will k*ll you'.
My son is in the Army. He has a shirt that says “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, except infantry. Infantry will kill you.”
Funny and true 😂
I have this sign lol
I feel like it should be
“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger… except ______. If that doesn’t kill you, you’ll just be f-ed up.

Me too- it’s one positive for yt. Just think of the money they’d have if they were fair players.
@@silvergirl7810 what do u mean fair players
Fr. I remember the basement and of course Max
Love watching Steve & Julia working together. Especially on a candy that is so nostalgic for the holidays. Beautiful colors on the ribbon candy & great job as always!!❤❤🍫
Thanks so much!
but its kinda obvious that it only take the job to have internet fame.

I think it’s so neat that his son saved the day- what a great story!
Awww Terry's got little ribbon candy earrings! Those are cute!
Molasses, Always the last batch of the day because the flavor covers all other flavors. Also ribbon candy is beautiful
Somebody has been paying attention in candy class!
@HerculesCandy 🤓 I'm a candy nerd!
I can’t help but ask and wonder…I know you’re a chat mod but have you met these beautiful Hercules folks in person or are y’all long time friends aka how’d did you all meet? Thank you :)

@@LoriKasprzak-kc7xc we tried to bite one layer at a time from one end to the other without breaking it. It was fun.
loving the banter today. what a trio
Thanks! When I was shooting it it kinda reminded me of the basement videos
😊😊
Fun Fact: Thanks to polar thaw, Grizzlies and Polar Bears have encountered one another and have been known to interbreed.. producing a BEHEMOTH breed of bear with the aggression of BOTH.
that makes me happy (that polar bears are able to interbreed, not the angry bear part)
Julia is a national treasure and must be protected at all costs. She's awesome!
You’re sweet🥰🥰
Yes Julia is funny and beautiful plus makes candy, she got all the goods ❤
We are so glad that the Candy business worked out for everyone we love you guys ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I bet a mulled apple cider candy would be a hit this time of year.

Playing with the blob on the cooling table looks like so much fun. Not that batch specifically. Looks like a big Doody, but the more colorful ones.
😂
27:53 It’s so perfectly smooth, that it looks like it could just as well be a piece of metal!! So cool!! 🍭🍬
Tea flavored with orange and clove is really nice. Wonder if orange clove hard candy would work as well?😊
Yum! I love molasses, I am one of the folks that also loves anise and clove.
There's really a flavor for everyone!
Me too! And horehound my favourite!
Me too! Guess were those peeps making sure those old fashioned flavs never die!!!
Absolutely. My Dad made Anise tea. So good
I bet you soak yourself in patchouli too.

A few years ago, I ordered a bag of your spice hard candy. The molasses was my favorite flavor!
I don't even like this kind of candy, but it's fun to watch you guys make it.
Black licorice and clove are phenomenal flavors in candy and believe it or not in ice cream also!!!!
I would try that
@@HerculesCandy it's so good 😊

Thank you❤❤
I want to work here, was a chocolate for a few years and then was a baker for couple after that, love this type of stuff
You were chocolate 🍫? How did you become human again?
You should add an orange ribbon- that’s a great Christmas flavor plus would be a nice color addition 🤗
It's in the fruity flavored box of ribbon candy!
I have watched you guys several times but had not subbed, however today I have subscribed as I really find watching your videos relaxing and entertaining. Thank you guys for using TH-cam to showcase your edible crafts.
Poor Steve! At least the broken pieces of the ribbon candy are still pretty like a beautiful bow! I love how delicate and festive they look.
I don't know about them running with scissors, but I remember Terry making the hole in the wall without having scissors in her hands!!
Haha! I’d forgotten about that! The look on her face. Now I need to go back and watch it again!

@ 7:25 - Did she just pick some pieces off of what I assume are the fabric kind of gloves and throw those pieces back into the batch?? 😮
I caught that too. Smh
She absolutely did. Also a little before that the takes the scraper and was scraping her glove.
I saw it. Perhaps, you should buy the batch and let us know if you find a lint fiber.

Steve wearing a sunn O))) shirt was not something I was expecting 🤘🏻
Same

Polar bears in zoo's can get green fur usually caused by algae

“They’ll [beep] you” before the context clues that followed was ONE HECK of a moment for me 🤣
Game over, not the spicy one! 😂
My mom's faves were anise, clove, and wintergreen. 😂 When she made hard candy every xmas, she was the only one who ate those flavors. The rest of us ate the grape, watermelon, and lemon. 😉
Smart Mom! Make the flavors the kids don’t like 🤣😂 My Mom made pineapple fruit cake us kids hated it!

Hello from Indiana

haha you adding in Steve's reaction to her breaking the candy was funny.

That's so crazy that the molasses covers all those other flavors. I never knew that.

Polar bear hair is actually hollow like a straw. Sometimes they turn green from algae growth in the millions of little tubes they're covered in.
Love watching them❤

I’d gladly buy some broken molasses candy if it was shipped. Sounds fantastic.
In the Yukon lots of people leave their car doors unlocked so people can jump in to get away from polar bears.
rockin' that Sunn O shirt. heck yeah.
Molasses candy sounds great. Didn't know that it could overpower the other candy flavors
"your nose" was a good guess! ALMOST A MILLION SUBS!!!! Woot woot!!

Polar Bears fur is actually transparent and it lets sunlight get thru to its black skin for additional warmth..
