Really insightful discussion and guidance. It’s a must as you say to get this guy back for a dedicated deer podcast come deer season

Love the advice to slow down and listen to the old timers. It’s easy to overthink it, these days.

He is great but is a Nosler hunter/shooter for many years. It would be nice but can’t imagine Hornady having a Nosler man on podcast.

From Wisconsin and and I’m an avid Whitetail hunter, I just picked up a Weatherby Vanguard High Country in 6.5. PRC, what can I expect from this caliber! Also been an avid Deer and Deer hunting Magazine .

Idk bout the caliber but you can expect a great accurate, like same hole accurate, light weight dependable rifle. The vanguard is in my opinion the best value in the market. I bought a weatherby vanguard weatherguard bronze in .308 and it drives tacks. Actually a rifle built to hunt that don't cost so much u don't Wana leave the house w it. Lol I love mine

Thank you, I also have a Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmore on a Magpul stock, Go Wild addition with medium Contour barrel. Love that rifle!

@@kcinislit they really are. I sanded off that paint on the stock and cleaned it all up w acetone and sprayed it with durabak18 truckbed liner. She's a grippy hunting machine now. Looks awesome to

Credit where it's due on a LOT of product, but the ELDX is really just a copy of what Berger was doing with a tip added. I would say Berger set that particular bar.

They still work for Hornady at the end of the day lol. That being said the technical information they give out on some of these podcasts is incredible.

Feel bad for all the private land states without public access. In Maine the landowner has to actually post their land. We have complete public access to undeveloped private land. Can go anywhere you don’t see a posted sign.

I was curious i would like to become an engineer and I was wondering what type of engineering does hornady have?

Maybe the R&D folks on to talk about cartridges they explored but didn't pursue for whatever reason. E.G. 204 rimfire... just guessing there.
