Hi Jessie and the Animal Wonders team! I've just recently got a hamster and I want to get her loooots of toys so she has loads to play with, but a lot of what I find online isn't appropriate (toxic paint/glue/plastic, wrong size, not well-made, etc.) Could you guys do a video about how to make enrichment toys from (safe) things around your house like boxes and toilet roll tubes? That would be so helpful! Your channel has already been really helpful in helping me tame my little hammie - turns out she's just like a little version of many of your bigger animals! Thanks for everything you do!
You can always try small wooden blocks for babies. Those are always safe sense kids put things in their mouth so it should be good for your hamster. And paper grass for Easter baskets can make good burying and nesting. Good Luck on your new friend!
There are some "What, Where, How" Videos in this channel that might give you reference, specially the ones abou rodents. Jessi's done two on guinea pigs, one on rats, and one on chinchillas
Zeema looked so interested in those parcels! I love watching toucans focus on something. Too cute. My favourite thing about cavies are their nose and mouth! I live their tiny tongues and seeing their teeth! Their noses are so soft and cute! Huckleberry has stolen my heart 😍
Love how much you've touched kids all over with this channel. It would be neat to have a video with stories of how you've inspired people in Montana and all over to help wild animals. The concept of ambassador animals is fantastic, and it would be so cool to see some concrete stories of them making a real difference.
"They'll find something to chew on." I gave my rabbit toys and cardboard, and rabbit-proofed my apartment. She still decided to chew the paint off my walls.
When my favorite animal youtubers (you and snake discovery!) get gifts from kids I always have to hold back tears becuase its SO SWEET AND CUTE!!! It's so adorable seeing the homemade gifts and letters, they put so much effort into everything!
Toast, the guinea pig, has the same coloration as a fancy goldfish I had, which was also named Toast! The black, white and orange combination is really so striking.
Mimi gets fan mail, she sees. Cries, "Jessi, you know I can't read!" :( "Open on Camera", and once it's in frame, Rook Raven & Toucan proclaim: "Mimi, we'll read it, just get us more feed." (Sorry, have been flooded with Limerick ideas today, and not all good ones.)
The kids worked so hard on these projects and I know they will grow up being kind to all of nature's creations. I can't help but think the person that would thumbs down this video has a very sad life. They probably have blue hair and a PETA shirt.
@@InfectedChris I am saying it isn't, though. The blue hair I mean. I have met plenty of cosplayers and alternative fashion people who would adore this video "despite" their blue hair.
Great video Jessi...so fun to watch the animals enjoy their gifts. You are so great with all the animals. It take special people like you to work with these special beautiful creatures.
Thanks for the heart @animalwonders Is Mimi any better with the camera or does it still stress her out? If she is better with it, I and Im sure many others would love to see an update video about her. Thank you for all you do
@1:58 You know why you're in the comments section. We all love the presents, and you should all send more presents... But we all know 😂 Thank you to everyone at AWM, and thank you to present senders and donators. But we all know LOL!
AHHHH I love these little interactions. I would love to send stuff, but I'm halfway across the world and I'd rather not engage in anymore shipping and transportation-related greenhouse gases. So I'll just enjoy from here
I'm a 57 yr old woman that completely enjoys your show ..I assume is geared towards children. This was a particularly good show. My granddaughter and I love your show....but I NEED no kids to watch! Lol
Hi Jessi, I was just wondering if those pull toys for the capybara are safe with the paint on them? Is the paint nontoxic? I do hope so! I love your videos and your care for the animals
Hi Jesse, I have a question about a sick snake. Louis is a grey banded kingsnake. He's about 15. He has chronic dry eye caps. Might be environmental, or maybe a problem with his tearducts. We think when he cant see his food he gets scared and wont eat. We have taken him to the vet and are supposed to give him eye drops for 3 weeks and may possibly need to get rid of the eye. but I'm wondering if there's anything we can do to improve his environment in general that would help in addition to his medication. I also wanted to ask about his comfort. My partner worries that he's in constant pain, and that since this isn't the first time he's had problems, we're worried his survival is at risk. Do you have any thoughts? We're very concerned, and any and all suggestions are welcome. Thank you so much!
Love your channel, your enthusiasim, and information. Would like it if you could lower the volume of your commentary. Your voice is sweet but high pitched. Hurts my ears using earpods. Thanks and keep up your great work!
Hi jessie, i've been watched all of your video , it's very educating . I love it so much . But i got a question about marmoset , the case is different than mimi, since mimi didn't socialize well and raised alone since little . It's challenging for her to get along with other pets or monkey. My case is i've got pair of pet marmoset from baby and they get along very well with human and other animals. But something happen one of the marmoset passed away and now my marmoset seems to be lonely even tho' i never caged my monkey i let them roam the house and play with my dogs and cats and always sleep in my bed. So i am looking for another monkey to be friend with him, and luckly for me i get ahold of a pair marmoset to be adopted the owner passed away of covid so i adopted them. I was wondering is there anyway how to introduce them to be getting along together . I am looking lots of video in youtube and other platform to educate me but , not very resourcfull. Except the mimi case . So i wonder if you could help me show how to introduce them the best way. You can see my pet marmoset in this video link, instagram.com/tv/CJMDdAfltM0/?igshid=ya31fzmdnp4d i love them so much . I know monkey is not a good pet and it's super chalenging but i am okay with it and want to provide the best care for them.
Hey Jessie, I have a Wilson White chinchilla named Picchu. I was wondering would you have any tips to help me avoid pee stained fur? She kinda likes to sit in her pee so her normally beautiful white belly fur gets dyed yellow. She has a reasonably absorbent bedding but pee can sit on top for a minute while it soaks through.
Is Mimi from Virginia? She looks like (and has the same name as) the monkey that lived in one of the most amazing pet stores in Virginia Beach until it closed several years ago because the owners couldn't keep up....
If you are so worried about them chewing on plastic, why do you allow the fleece items? They are made of plastic fibers that can easily shed and be swallowed by the animals. Studies on micro-plastic sources have shown that laundering polyester and other synthetic fabrics is a major contributor to the growing problem of plastic contamination in coastal waterways and aquatic food sources.
It really depends on the rodent and exactly how much they chew. And of course the size of the rodent. Something larger like a cavy or beaver doesn't just nibble off tiny pieces like a rat or chinchilla might. There's also a matter of cleaning up any pieces that are actually ripped off, but because they're bigger, they're easier to see for the caretaker to toss in the trash.
She send a box in a box.
Jesse: AMAZING
Oh yeah 😃 two boxes 📦📦

Check out ErinsAnimals here on TH-cam! She has lots of great DIYs for hamsters.
Also Flock-talk on TH-cam. They are a bird channel but stuff that they use and make is almost 100% also applicable for hammies

Huckleberry has stolen my heart 😍
Wow Cayenne has grown!! I'd love to be introduced to all the piggies sometime. I recognized Toast, but not sure I know everybody else.
This is so sweet. I love imagining the kids who made these toys getting to watch their favorite animals enjoy them!
This channel warms my cynical middle-aged heart. Creations like this make the Internet, and thus, the world, a better place.

Pissing a hedgehog off
Isn't that fleece plastic and harmful for the cavvies to chew on? I'm sure you can tell me how it's not, but that what I've hard before.
🙌🙌🙌
Isn't that plastic in the fleece hurt the Guinea pigs?
Is Mimi from Virginia? She looks like (and has the same name as) the monkey that lived in one of the most amazing pet stores in Virginia Beach until it closed several years ago because the owners couldn't keep up....
Can you tell me how to tame an aggressive bird?
Hedgehog!!!!
I would love to donate and send gifts but I am too young and my mother won’t let me:(
Did something happen to there other chinchilla?
If you are so worried about them chewing on plastic, why do you allow the fleece items? They are made of plastic fibers that can easily shed and be swallowed by the animals.
Studies on micro-plastic sources have shown that laundering polyester and other synthetic fabrics is a major contributor to the growing problem of plastic contamination in coastal waterways and aquatic food sources.
If the video title has Mimi in it, then why wouldn't Mimi join to unbox the gifts and not Zeema?
Naaaaaaa have a realmarmoset then a fake one,😝😂😂😂😂😍😍😍😍😍,,
Can I use Mail Chimp? :)
Lol!
14:33 Small parts. Not recommended for children under 3... or unsupervised Patagonian maras.
Don't you worry about the paint? How about that fleece is made from the same plastic as pop bottles. It's a petroleum product. Or the glue on boxes?
Where can I get the address to send something???
Hi! If you'd like to send some gifts for the animals you can send them to PO Box 7833 Missoula, MT 59807. Thanks!
wait.. iS zeema GoNnA eAt BlUeBeRrY
theres more videos on youtube them my school computer-
Zeema is suck a pretty bird
Did you ever figure out what Huckleberry’s sex is?
How can anyone think a Monkey is a good pet?
Why is it ok to give fleece to the rodents? It's made of PET plastic. Wouldn't they get micro plastic in their systems, when they chew on that?
It really depends on the rodent and exactly how much they chew. And of course the size of the rodent. Something larger like a cavy or beaver doesn't just nibble off tiny pieces like a rat or chinchilla might. There's also a matter of cleaning up any pieces that are actually ripped off, but because they're bigger, they're easier to see for the caretaker to toss in the trash.
Can you please not put things Zeema likes to play with a little too far because she might fall on her broken leg
Do chinchilla's suffer from agoraphobia ?
