The 3050 is definitely a very good contender for the budget GPU scene especially (at MSRP) it doubles the performance of the 1660 TI and gives RTX for around the same price point
If we talk about the 3050 desktop GPU, then yes (although it is around the same as 1660 Ti but with 2GB Vram more) The 3050 laptop GPU is pretty crap and should be avoided at any cost, unless you are very tight on budget.

Could you possibly add Stranded Deep to your game list? It's hard to find Stranded Deep benchmark tests. Decent graphics and not a demanding title, very convenient for benchmarks I would say. Also, the game has a graphic quality preset named "laptop", perfect fit for ancient low-end GPUs. It basically destroys the graphics but might be a challenge for GeForce G 100 of yours :))

Hey kryzp ,the rx 6600 is looking a better and better option as the prices decrease,it's currently priced at 380$ in my and the 3050 is also in the same range and the benchmarks I've seen of the 6600 suggest it's more like a 2060S ,really wish you would test it somewhere in the future

3050 is a good buy at MSRP especially compared to the Radeon RX 6500 XT (a card that should've been released at a $180 - $200 price point at the most). An entry level card at $250 has no business using a PCIe 4X (PCIe 4.0 as 3.0 halves that) and utilizes a 64-bit memory bus.
Too bad it doesn't sell at MSRP. By the way, I think the x4 PCIe lane is bigger problem than the memory bus, since the RX 6500 XT uses 18Gbps memory, so it actually has 144GB/s of memory bandwidth.
Its sus that you get 75c with a double fan cooler and i get 65 max with the one fan gainward ghost model. I guess its becuse i have 4 fans, full mash front case (zalman S2 and a 10100f (not much heat output of the cpu+lot of airflow).still weird

I do stream from time to time and make videos with Sony Vegas. And im thinking about taking all my pc's apart and making 1 more powerful. But i cant tell if i should use the nvidia or ryzen

And back in the day i ran a minecraft server with 1000+ players active, with the gtx 970 and im pretty sure it was a little heavy for the 970. Pretty sure the ryzen 970 is in good form

Depend at which price you get this gpu. If you find it for much less than 400 dollars, go for it. Otherwise, an rx 6600 would be a much better option.
