20K is not possible because of directX limitation, maximum render resolution in dx11 is 16K, and it can't go any further

@@alexnather7614 In DX12 limit is also 16K, and in Vulkan documentation said that 4K is recommended, but it can go beyond that limit

I dunno why they even test this card on FHD and 1440p, for this type of cards even 8K makes more sense than testing it in 1080p.

I didn't even get into PC stuff until a few years back but man I remember when GPUs being able to hit a constant 60+ in 1440p was a huge deal. Now we're reaching cards being able to do 8K 60 FPS and it's wild to see.
The game, PC version, is 7 years old though...
Honestly we should not push beyond 4k textures. There is alot more potential in 4k textures. 8k/16k textures are a waste. Same thing with anything higher then 60/120FPS.

8K 60 is so Phenomenal! However, I would personally enjoy playing at 4K120, but its great to see it nonetheless😁.

@@neihc1589 yeah, no cpu bottleneck at that resolution, if the cpu can get it 188 fps in 4k it can in 8k as well, sometimes there are other limitations where the gpu doesn't need full 450w and is bottlenecked by other gpu stuff, like memory and memory speed, bandwith
You know, my comment might be a very bad and unclear explanation, but the best way for you to learn how bottlenecks work, put a 4090 in a slow pc, see how it works at all resolutions, then tell me how the 4090 is already at it's peak in this video from zwormsz
bro there is no bottleneck in 4k xD if you want to see bottleneck you test it in 720p or 1080p low lol
ryzen 1600 2600 3600 and 5600 have same fps at 4k because in high resolution it's the gpu that limits lol you'll see gpu being bottleneck in 4k in at least 3 generations of gpus if you get 20-30 more fps it's because you play in 1080p, and i don't know if you're a professional and use your gpu accordingly but if not buying a 4090 to play in 1080p is the dumbest thing ever but now since you have a 4090 i assume that you at least have a 4k monitor but you won't see fps difference between your 5900x and 7600x due to cpu, probably the main difference you see is because of ddr5 but still then it depends on what you got if you got some shit 4800Mhz c40 vs that 500$ kit of 6400 c32 c32... anyway have a good day mate

8k gaming is finally made possible by RTX4090 GPU. It was 5years since where we saw people did dual 1080ti in SLI to attempt 8k gaming on the first time. And the result was not promising like 30-40ish fps on low.

But why would you want 8k when you have a 4k monitor? The video won't change (except for the 4 × lower FPS)

@@mafin_official down-sampling 8k to 4k is sharper then native 4k since it doesn't have to guess as much which color what pixel should have.
But tbh if you dont have a 55"+ monitor at 1m distance it is really not worth

@@casmithh Almost all games run at 4k 144hz now with the 4090, like even red dead redemption 2. A super demanding title runs at 4k 120 fps ultra settings. No dlss ofcourse, cause that doesn't count.
you can't run rdr2 4k 120 ultra with a 4090, the average would be like 90 fps. and rdr2 isn't even the most demanding, talk about like plague tale requiem or cyberpunk 2077
You finally did it man and you delivered. I am interested in VR headsets and was thinking how many years it will take for a graphics card to power a 16K VR headset (that I think is enough resolution for crystal clear image quality resembling reality). This means that 5090 will be the card that makes VR mainstream. We already have a 12k VR headset from Pimax (I have 4k one and still image quality looks like a 480p video). So 2 more years and we have a real VR experience. I now have my answer and Will buy the headset and card after 2 years. Thank you so much man. Great job.
everyone tests upto 8k ultra but my man took tested this gpu in 16k...keep up the good work man.

I think this is a game that deserves modded testing. There's plenty of good free graphics mods, like NVE and just a reshade + enb.

Also its mad how when your at 8k the whole thing even at low settings just looks so clean compared to 4k and lower.. like shadows and small details etc
Em 2017 o Linus tech juntou quatro NVIDIA Quadro P5000 e só conseguiu rodar games a 2-4 fps em 16k. 5 anos depois, games jogavéis em 16k se tornou algo possível com uma única placa, isto é o futuro senhores

Crazy how intensive msaa still is. But i think its visually much more appealing then TAA which just smudges the image

At 4K, 4X msaa is similar to 16K resolution.

AA in GTA V is a absolute fucking joke though, even with 4x MSAA in 1600p chome parts of cars like my Fagaloa or TT5/Rstein's grille look like shit.

I think for 16k to become a realistic possibility, were going to need GPUs well above 24GBs of VRAM most like, upwards into the 30-50 GB range to be even remotely possible.
Anything below 512GB vram will be bottleneck

something you can try is using like a zoom in center pip view to see the level of detail of the 16k res

You should benchmark Quantum Break. That game can be intensive at higher resolutions, maxed settings and the upscaling disabled. Keep killing it with the content, you're the best benchmarker on TH-cam!
Hey man I have a 4090 question for you. I seem to be experiencing some screen tearing when capping the framerate, whether it be the in game built one or Nvidia COntrol Panel or Riva Tuner Statistics. I was wondering if you've experienced this on yours. I don't know if it's a driver thing or what but it never happened on my 3080Ti or 6800XT
What is your screen refresh rate?

@@ThePastaManCan I was but I was still getting screen tearing. Issue seems to be resolved now. It was early day of the 4090 and others with C1 oled TV were having similar issues

you can use post processing on high or more and just set the motion blur setting on the lowest. It would disable motion blur but have better post fx graphics.
It never disables motion blur unless it's set to normal!
Wow awesome, thats just crazy compare to my pc that could barely run gta v literally under 20fps on lowest settings no shadow, at 600p res, stuttery experience, could barely load textures… yet somehow i manage to play the game halfway of the main story before killing it

u have to turn up extended graphics texture budget in graphics settings to get the most out of your GPU. You only had it set to about 4000mb (4gb) of your 24gb you have in your card
On a 1080p monitor with everything maxed out, regardless of if i upscale to 4k and use 8x msaa or use 1080p native with 8x msaa ,there is a huge huge noticeable difference compared to even 4x

Yeah cause that isnt the hotspot temp or ram temp, they're at most 15c hotter, my 4090 says 58 at max but on flir its warmer.

I have a 4090 Strix with a 5800X3D as well but I’m having a hard time keeping my gpu usage up in this game as well as warzone 2, how do you keep your gpu usage so high in gta 5? 😅
Last time I played this game was 30fps low settings (PS3) I think it is worth a replay now in stereoscopic Ultra 3D now that I have a 4090
yeah and take your time driving slowly (if you plug in a controller you can treat the trigger like a gas pedal and apply medium pressure) you actually experience the surroundings and people on a whole new level this way rather than just rushing from location to location.
Just imagine, what the 4090 TI will be like. I really didn't expect the 4090 to be THIS much faster than the 3090 TI. This is absolutely insane.
I'm excited for the 4050 and 4060, if the jump between the 4090 and 3090 is the same for 3050 and 3060 the 4050 and 4060 will be insanely strong for their price points.

4090ti is rumored to have around 18300 CUDA cores compared to this one’s 16384 so it’s not much of an increase when you think about the fact that the 3090ti had 10000 CUDA cores.
That’s not including the raytracing and other cores that are included (I don’t know what other cores are included besides CUDA and RT) maybe tensor or something

max 3D texture size and surface with CUDA can be 16k^3 so that might be the real limit but I'm not sure or it's just the engine limit

Well not really, in a game where a 3090 gives you 4K 30fps, a 4090 would give you 4K 50-60fps or 8K 25-30fps.
But yeah, I'm really excited for RDNA3 too, I hope the price will be somewhat similar to RDNA2 and not like 1000 bucks for a 7800xt

10:43 get yourself a solid uninterrupted power supply. It'll protect your rig from surges and have a battery backup so if the power goes out you have time to shut it down safely. :)

@@anasabuatieh1210 texture packs don't really impact fps. If you're looking for umsoea, it wouldn't impact fps by much due to the ram and vram

Wow it’s crazy to see how technically behind the PS4 is, when you run GTA online at 1080P the frame rate is almost identical as the RTX 4090 at 16K Very High. It’s almost a miracle that they’re still able to pull off games like RE4 Remake

very interesting test. First, see antialiasing, it can be deactivated. When I played in 1024x768x16 with my Voodoo 3 I noticed that antialiasing was just an option. By the way, what is the drive? A HDD, or SSD or M2.0 or a PCIe device? That could explain the long shuddering's and the awkward ones.
It's definitely an SSD, either M. 2 or SATA. HDD is bad for benchmarks, nobody uses it.

People still can't understand the madness that is a graphics card deliver more than 1 FPS at 16k resolution (15360x8640p)
A few years ago we had difficulties playing at 30 FPS in 1080p resolution...
For you to understand, to run a game at 16k it's like your video card is delivering 64 monitors at 1080p or 16 monitors 4k. This is insane!
In 2017 Linus tried to run some games in 16k using 16 4k monitors and 4 nvidia Quadro P5000 cards! At the time each of them cost $2499.00.
5 years later only 1 GPU can deliver more! What will we have in the next 5 years??

The 4090 runs this game at 16k about as well as my current system runs the game at 1080p 🤯
I am lost why is that I have a 4090 24GB and a I9-13900L with DDR5 64 GB RAM and when I turn on MSAA 8X the frame drops to 40-50 fps. I am playing at the start of the game
honestly I wish I was there in person because unfortunately I feel like its really hard to get the actual 1:1 resolution/quality representation of what it actually looks like since youtube videos seem to for some reason never upload screen recordings to the full quality with which they were actually shown at. It's like trying to show what 4k looks like on a tv that is only a 720p tv.
Just one question? How come my copy of GTA V is limited to using only 4GB out my available 12GB? As far as i know GTA V is limited by raw CPU power, not video power! That thing runs on a potato from the 2014's just fine too. questions, questions, questions.

I'm still rocking 1080p and it's great, honestly I'd recommending getting a higher refreshrate 1080 or 1440p screen, unless you are buying a huge monitor
