    Excellent honest video, shows some of the real world issues with servicing and how you can suss it at home, not a sped up making it seem like a 10min job sort of thing. Cheers 👍

    good video mate showing complete service ,if i can offer a suggestion when putting you bolts and also plugs a small smear of grease onto the threads one it will stop them seizing up and it willl make undoing them next time very easy just a suggestion ,that was really wierd the pump didnt fit onto the oil canister yamaha probably have there special pump . that has to be used when dong the lower leg i would have just poured it into the old container and used that and you have to ask yourself why do they do this ?

    Very good video, what sort of oil filter removal tool you have? Abd where can I get obe from? Thnks.

      The one I prefer is the type that fits on a socket ratchet. It's basically a large light weight socket. I'm sorry I don't have the exact name tho...

    Pour your new leg oil into the old container so you can put the cap on correctly to keep from spilling.

    Very nice video,full informative.
    I need some help to order parts. Unfortunately the last owner of my f100 detl paint the plate with serial number and it is impossible to remove the paint to find out the jear of production. In my license the serial number begins with 6D9101.... Or 609101 (its written by hand and I don't know if its D or 0).
    The question is if from the serial number I can find the jear?

    Very nice, thanks for taking the time! Have you sold it yet? I'm in need of a new motor. How many more hours do you think this moor would still run? How much money are you looking for or did you get for it? Cheers

    Just serviced my own 100 Yammy thanks to your video. I noticed like yours water coming out the front which I didn’t notice before also the vents at the back end. I’d never serviced an outboard before so I’m a little worried I’ve gone something wrong although I done everything you did.

    • @darrencookfishing7961

      Water comes out the front, don't panic. I have a brand new 130 four stroke now and water comes out in all directions. It may be pumping a stronger stream after the service. I've alway serviced mine the way I did in the video, It's gone interstate on another boat and still going strong

    Love this video as it is real time and clear, thank you. Can i also ask what size prop you have (Pitch, diameter, blades), what your RPM is at WOT, and what is your top speed please. If you run a 3 blade, have you tried a 4 blade. I am trying to sort out the correct prop on mine.

      Thanks Matthew, its a Thirtheen and a half x 15K and revs to around 5600. My hulls not a speed machine and I get some drag from the track rails underneath. 25 knots is about tops. Thanks for the kind words.

    Thanks and good timing as I'm about to do a first service(for me). I've recently bought the same motor. 600 hrs. You've got 2000. has it been reliable? Anything to look out for? Thanks again.

    Hi there,im about to buy a 2000 model f100 with 380 hours on. Would you know if there is a big difference in fuel consumption from this model and the efi? And do you know if there is any convertion kit to change it to efi? Thank you

    A smudge of grease in that impeller housing makes for an easier reassemble .

    • @darrencookfishing7961
      @darrencookfishing7961  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure would, and some on the shaft might help with sliding impeller down. I always forget. Had to pay for my 1st service on new outboard the other day......OUCH! I must have saved a fortune over the years.
