About this item
ThinkDiag2 is an OE-Level Bluetooth diagnostic tool that supports full system diagnosis. It supports read/clear codes, datastream, actuation tests, special functions, coding, adaptation, and read control module information for all systems, such as ECM, ABS, SRS, TCM, EPB, TPMS, SAS, A/C, BMS, etc. The specific functions that can be performed may vary by car model. Free software updates and usage are available for 1 year, paid subscription is required to use the model software after expiration.
A Bi-directional control diagnostic tool that supports actuation tests, drives solenoids and actuators for active testing, sending commands to the system/component to test its operating status without using the vehicle controls, making it easy to operate and saving a lot of time to identify the cause of the fault. In addition, it supports ECU CODING which allows you to match replacement components to the ECU. It also can activate the hidden functions for BMW, for VW, for AUDI, and for BENZ models(for some models for these brands).
Thinkdiag2 OBDII code scanner is designed for individual car owners, DIYers, and small repair shops, which has a separate menu of 15 common special functions, such as Oil reset, EPB reset, SAS calibration, ABS bleeding, injector code, IMMO matching, TPMS reset, etc. Enter from the all-system diagnostic menu to unlock more system special functions, and effectively handle the reset and relearn of most cars. Note: The Maintenance functions that each car can do may be different.
The 2023 newest diagnostic scanner has an Auto-VIN function, it can help car owner/repair stores automatically and quickly identify the year of manufacture, model, and VIN of most models, then enter the vehicle diagnostic menu. Then you can click 'Health Report' for a complete vehicle system scan, which will automatically generate a detailed vehicle health report after diagnosis. As it comes with three years of updates and it still be used after the updates expire and I even made a key for my dodge with it for $11.
@@RANDOMFIX just to be clear, you say the Xtool shows data from all four of your Oxygen Sensors?
@cinepost normally obd2 readers show only live data field around 40 of them, with scan tools you have see live data on the dodge side and see live data from 200 plus fields. You can also email them before buying to reassure yourself. The data you get from make of vehicle is different so it may not be a bad idea to reach out to them. Send them your vin along with your concern. Good luck

Best and cheapest scan tool to diagnose a p0686 and p0687 codes in an 04 Saab 93 ARC? I have the basic Ob2 scanner. I'm thinking I may need one with bidirectional testing and/or additional features to narrow down what exactly the problem is. Engine light is throwing those 2 codes constantly. I checked/swapped relays with my donor car, seem fine. I'm thinking it's possible the ECU. I have a 04 Saab 93donor car with a good ECU but it needs to be flashed. I put it in and when I tried to start it, wouldn't turn over. So a device that'll flash that as well would be great. If you can, don't send me a link, just specify a particular model or type. I could shop around and find the cheapest one available. I know a few places that sell them significantly cheaper than eBay and Amazon.. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I would get a d8s but be careful with sites like aliexpress and others I have dad viewers complain about fakes. I would buy from Amazon as you get a free return if it doesn’t cut it. Also, email the vendor your vin and ask for a list of supported features for you Saab. Good luck and keep me posted.

Anytime, a bad pcm is very rare and infact I have only come across it once. There is more of chance of damaging it when you are swapping it out.

Well when the subscription ends the you need renew. If you watched the video this one of the main reasons I normally recommend an actual scan tool as some of those will continue to operate but you won’t get additional updates . Plus it comes with three years of updates included. Let me know need a recommendation for a scan tool.

Yes, the app is free to download with Bluetooth scan tool, you have buy the device and then you have to pay each year. I think a real scan tool might be a better option

I have not tried either one on a Nissan. I would encourage getting an actual scan tool that come with many years of service and even when the updates expire you can still use it. @@RANDOMFIX No, thinkdiag just not connect anymore any cars. That was good luck no harm to car, because that was quite new and expensive car. Just tried test for fun a new tool, but that was last time to buy (because no warranty) or test thinkdiag 2 to any car.
I almost pulled the trigger on this one but ** AFTER ONE YEAR IT IS JUNK UNLESS YOU PAY 100 SUBSCRIPTION. and since its burried in the fine print, i dont trust them at all.

@@RANDOMFIX it's unclear whether it still works after a year, whether U have to hook up to their database or whether that's just for update on newer cars. The crankcase relearn for a 2002 Buick century - all I am really after-isn't ever going to change. But it's Burried, it's not upfront. And it's not even clear and straightforward which models have the relearn capabilities. But thanks for the video, it helps

Can this tool help to find out the real mileage of a vehicle?
Yes, depending on the vehicle , on my dodge it’s under the oe side of dodge under live data and then select pcm odometer and on my Toyota I have to run a health report and then it will show on the report. It’s a little easier on a real scan tool vs these applications (phone based ) devices. I also used my android and still the same issue. I’m no iPhone fanboy just the opposite. I got the phone best of travels and security as the android google authentication required no login. iPhone requires Face ID for that work.

My thinkdiag burnt after one car. It last one day, components was burnt on board after try second car. Kingbolen promote free replacement 365days, but they will not keep promises, no warranty or anything.
