Thank you F! Yes the scanner does support access to ECU PID's however actually being able to read a specific component or data varies from vehicle to vehicle (vehicles have different levels of detail here depending if they are equipped with such sensors and if those sensors can communicate back to a scanner) Thinkdiag does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific PID you need. Cheers!
Hi M! Reset is the generic term scanners use to say that their system can access a particular module (in this case the ABS system). Depending on the vehicle there may a few options in there or many options in a particular module. So while this scanner supports access to the ABS module, being able to activate a specific component varies from vehicle to vehicle (vehicles have different levels of control, some allow you to active more things than others) Thinkcar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need. Cheers!
Hi JJ! Cheers!
Hi H! Scanning speed is usually a result of the processing power on the wireless dongles (some use slower chipsets and some use faster ones. Additionally speed will also vary depending on the number of systems on a vehicle that need to be scanned and how fast the vehicle allows them to communicate back to the scanner. However here is another good alternative if you want to try a different one th-cam.com/video/rGWSxEXFbOg/w-d-xo.html And I have more scanner reviews on my channel in the playlist "OBD2 Scanner Reviews" if you like to compare them. @@80sCrazyCatDadNGunAddiction Hi 80's! If you use the chapters of the video you can jump to the vehicle coverage section. Is the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO a downloadable vehicle for this reader? Also, when I click on the link, one of the first specs says "5 resets lifetime free". Are they referring to resetting trouble codes only 5 times, or are they talking about resetting the actual obd scanner 5 times?
Hi Michael! Ah unfortunately most scanners (if not all scanners that I have tested) do not show Pontiac. What they usually do, is that is covered under the GM coverage. However Thinkcar does accept VIN numbers if you want them to confirm for you. Cheers!

Hi N! I'm assuming you are referring to the "Maintenance Required" message some cars display when they are due for normal service. Those can typically be reset without a scanner using the the advanced menu options in the car's dash or infotainment system. But yes the BD6 does include several reset modules as shown in the video. You're welcome A! Ah yes while the scanner support IMMO access being able to add a key will depend on how many keys you have, if your car requires a new pin code, if you are adding a new key fob or a used one etc. In some cases a dedicated IMMO tool will also be needed if you are trying to re-use a previously assigned key fob where you need to make it "virgin" again using the dedicated IMMO tool, or if you are trying to clone a key outside of the vehicle (and other locksmith level functions). Thinkcar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to perform the function you need. Cheers!

Hi T! As shown on the video, the BD6 includes access to 5 main service functions: Oil, EPB, ABS Bleeding, IMMO, Throttle Adjust. If you need access to other modules like TCM for clutch adaptation, you will need a more advanced scanner like this one th-cam.com/video/leqYNPJ16M4/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
Hi Jason! Ah that can be tricky. If the mileage has been modified, it may have been modified in multiple places making detection difficult if not impossible in some cases. However yes on some vehicles where the mileage is stored in several places, and not all of them were updated, that discrepancy could lead a mechanic to suspect something is off (but again unfortunately if there are several mismatching numbers, the real number may be unknown). There are also other ways to determine if a ECU has been manipulated , they are more complicated and require specialized software but they usually only reflect that a change was made but not what the change was. Cheers!
Hi C! Nope, as shown in the video, the BD6 only supports 5 maintenance functions (injector coding is not included). Here is a good alternative that does support coding th-cam.com/video/Pk88Jbge1p8/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
Hi Nameer! I do not recommend buying from an unapproved source as you may be missing warranty, update coverage, support and worse case potentially receive a fake (a more common issue lately). I placed a link to the scanner in the video description to get the scanner from ThinkCar. Cheers!
