Because of YOU I now write in my journal every morning the 3 best things from the day before! Mine today were: My 16-month-old calling a ball a bubble, my husband arriving home safely from a work trip, and an awesome POUND class at the YMCA.
So interesting to hear about your Ozempic experience. I did surgery in 2016 and lost appr 65 lbs after that. Gained 20 the following years. I'm a diabetic type 2 as you are, since 1994. Inherited and lifestyle. I've never accepted being a diabetic and I've never changed my habits. I also have several chronic diseases plus a severly stressful job. In 2014 I was forced to stop working due to ill health. 2 years ago my Dr put me on Ozempic. I've lost a lot of weight despite me continuing my bad lifestyle choices. Due to the shortage of the drug I had to do without for a few weeks. Immediately I started to eat like before and gained weight. Now I'm back on the drug and lost what I had gained. Thanks to you telling your story I now understand why I have been more fatigued than expected the last few days. Also huge props to you for changing your habits and sticking to them!
Please don’t apologize, we appreciate your videos whenever they post & can totally understand this delay. I offer my deepest condolences to you and your family on your recent losses.
I have lupus and there was a very dark period- I began stating three things I was grateful for each day - it works I swear- it switches the brain to gratitude and the darkness recedes - once you begin it snowballs - there is always always something to be grateful for - dirty dishes - we have food and are eating well - laundry - we have clean clothes - roof over our heads - etc… even a good cup of coffee
I’m so sorry for your losses. I just lost my mom 7 weeks ago. It has been hard doing anything but the three good things that happened today are: I finally mailed out packages that have been waiting, I replaced my kitchen curtains, and I made a lovely dinner. I really love your channel. It is very soothing before I go to sleep and I appreciate that your house has ups and downs and chaos like mine. You are amazing ❤️
when your cutting your chicken on the cutting board .. take a damp /wet paper towel and put it under your cutting board.. it holds still and will not move around ... works great my husband came up with that . I so enjoy watching you.
I'm new here! I love the 3 best things idea! So here are mine: 1) I sold 10 books yesterday, and 8 so far today (huge increase in my author royalties after a little slump) 2) I actually folded the load of laundry I started! I didn't leave it in the dryer 3) I woke up and got a fresh start!
I am really happy for your progress! I struggled with my own health problems for all my adult life and only 4 years ago finally found a doctor who understood and treated me in a way that helped. I never felt this healthy, and although I am aging of course, everybody tells me that it shows in my face how much better I am. I know so well how much health issues can weigh you down, and I am glad to hear that your patience pays off. Sending hugs from Luxembourg 🇱🇺
Three positives" 1) Lunch with a new friend 2) Glad to have the energy to detail my car for 90 minutes. It looks, feels, and smells wonderful. 3) Got the items to paint my kitchen and dining room. Look out what happens next! Hello from down I-35 in Waco.
I moved cross country. I really had to Purge my stuff. The best thing I did was get rid of more than half my clothes! Shocking. Laundry is easier, getting dressed is easier and my drawers and closet are neater. In fact I’m going to reduce my “inventory” again. I love your laundry room is arranged. Pretty and work flow simple. Keep on!
Thank you for the good energy! We live in the Hudson Valley of New York, and our house flooded in that big storm 2 weeks ago. We haven't had hot water since then, and in the process of replacing the furnace ended up with n water at all for 3 days. We lost the furnace, hot water heater, all of the drywall and baseboards on the first floor, my car, lots of things. But can you please say a prayer for us? The flood insurance is giving us a little trouble with the claim. It is giving me so much anxiety, and making me physically sick. Pray that this claim goes smoothly for us! Thank you!
I have been on ozempic for a year now. At, first I lost 25 lbs. But, I have gained it all back plus 10 more. With no changes in my daily routine. I have been a little nauseous a day after the injection. I have got lazier. Less interested in doing things. I don't know if it is a side effect or just me. My A1C has gone back up in the past 6 months. I am really just a mess. I don't want to go anywhere. Except for church. I do basic housework. No exercise at all. Since I gained the weight back. I am 59 yr old 5 feet 5 inches weight 270... Ok enough ranting about myself. When I saw you had a video up. I smiled and said YES. I love watching you. I love your honesty and sharing your life with us. So happy to hear you have got some answers to your health issues. And, you are getting your energy and groove back.
My next productivity day will be Tuesday in Zone 5, the living room, hallway, and hall closet. Monday, I need to spend the day with my granddaughters while their mother is at work. She is a nurse and works 10 hours, about three days a week. Therefore, I volunteered to go over to their house to be there for them. I admire how much you are able to do in view of your physical condition. My mother had diabetes while I was growing up and had to stay on a strict diet. Dad and I ate the same food to help her stick with it. As a result, I have never suffered with diabetes, thus far. Although, I have suffered with acid reflux and know how bad that feels. My heart goes out to you for trying so hard to be a good wife and mother, doing your best to reset your home.
I’m going to try all of the recipes as they look amazing - I Love Downshiftology!! My chicken is separated but in the freezer without marinade so I will have to defrost some and then marinate overnight in the fridge. So sorry for your losses…it is always hard to say goodbye. My three good things from yesterday was: 1) Using the pool in my complex with my daughter and her family for the first time (we went back today too) as it has been close to 100° the last two days. 2) I have a new kitten and she seems to be settling in nicely. She is not used to having the whole house to explore. Thankfully she also takes naps like a baby 😂😂😂 I’m still waiting for her and my other cat to become buddies but it should happen soon 🤞🤞 3) I took time to go through all my paperwork and finally have it all sorted and filed. This lead to a number of appointments over the next couple of weeks but so many things will be checked off my to-do list by the end of the month!!
Always happy to see you post, whenever that is! Sorry for your loss. I'm so glad you have been feeling more yourself and your new medication works for you! The good energy is palpable in this video. Baby steps :) keep going!
Sorry for your loss. My husband and I both started Mounjaro last fall. We inject once a week. I am 4'11 and went from 210 to 148. My husband has also lost 60+ lb.s. It has not been easy. The first month or two were brutal with digestive issues and nausea. Those things are no longer an issue. I do still sleep a lot the day after injecting. Keep up the great work!
In the last day: successfully got my husband to eat early dinner with me (cutting off my eating around 4:30 makes a huge difference in my health), got to a garden chore which I usually procrastinate on, and had a lovely breakfast with a friend who drove over and treated me 🥰
My 3 best things in the past 24 hours: a relaxing bath in my new bathtub, a free early birthday dessert from my favorite restaurant and a short nap. lol!!! Sometimes it’s the little things 💚💚💚 I love your videos!! Thank You for sharing with us 💚
Just love your channel💕💕💕 three positives I was able to get outside and do some gardening,.got some quiet time just for me, I got dinner made early that made my day.
Yesterday...I got some garden produce prepped and put in the freezer. I brought up a concern at a work meeting and received a positive response. I had time to read before bed and finished another book in the new series I started at the beginning of summer. 🙂 I'm so sorry for your losses, praying you and your family finds comfort.
Hellooooo…I love a good declutter video and your sentimental/closet video showed up on my feed…well, I think you’re so lovely, relatable and charming and have been binge watching you before getting ready for work. Your channel is delightful and I know that if we lived near each other (I’m in Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦), that we’d get along so well 🌻
I'm so sorry for your loss of family 😢 I would like to tell you that I just love you and your positivity and openness ❤ I'm a diabetic too and have the exact same issues with Trulicity, you opened my eyes to the side effects-I'm going to talk to my doctor Monday!!
Love your videos! It's like you're a good friend, and I love hanging out with you! Love the cooking/freezer ideas, and positive vibes! By the way, you look amazing! 😊
Hi Shannon! Yesterday was productive! I cleaned some in the kitchen. I packed one bin of books from my bookshelf. Going to be moving soon after I list my house for sale, and trying to get ready for that. I emptied the vacuum container. It was almost too full. You are awesome! Now go say something nice to yourself!!! 💜💜💜
I don't have a lot of freezer space, but your ravioli recipe works very well in a crockpot too. It's called crockpot lasagna and is delicious and you don't have to heat up the kitchen.
Hi Shannon, I'm so glad that you may have hit on the reason for your health issues. You even look better. You are an inspiration to me with your cleaning videos. I have been busy decluttering the house. Next week I hope to start deep cleaning and I may find more things to donate. Looking forward to your next video.
Oh, Shannon, don’t apologize! So sorry for your family losses. I know what you’re going thru. I lost my reconnected boyfriend three yrs ago only to find out he had kidney failure and needed a kidney transplant. We at least had almost 3 yrs together before his kidney function had quit working and we knew he was on limited time. He past away last August and I have still been trying to get my life together since I miss him so much. I have been to alone without him! But I am strong and manage to get up and get on with the day. Love watching your videos! Sending prayers and hugs!🥰👍💜
Hi, Shannon, congratulations on your weight loss!! You should be so proud of yourself! Both pairs of pants you wore in this video look so cute on you! 👍🏼 I love it when clothes fit right and look awesome. You are an inspiration, and I'm definitely going to have to try that recipe! Thanks, and feel free to give a girl more ideas . . . 😜 I'm glad life is normalizing again for you. I'm sorry for the passing of your loved ones. 💔
Yesterday I was cleaning house and I actually cleaned off my dresser! A job I always put off, but, I used your mindset of only 5 minutes and pretty soon it was done! ❤ I'm so glad you're feeling good! 😊
Good for you taking your health care into your own hands. My husband (67) was on Ozempic and at 1st had some of the same symptoms. Fast forward 6months, he is off it because it was not good for him in several ways. He did lose 25#'s and now his blood sugar is still under 120. Sometimes you need to try different meds, but like you, listen to your body.
Shannon, I’m so very sorry for the loss of your grandpa and cousin. Grief comes in waves… take care of yourself through this journey. We are all here supporting you. 💗
Oh man Shannon, I am so sorry for your losses of beloved family members 😕 I mentally give you a warm and loving, European hug. A long and close one, with a lot of stroking the back. This is hard! On the other hand I’d like to celebrate your losses with you, the loss of weight off your body and off your heart! I bet at least half of the pounds you threw away were mental load, that makes me extra excited for you 😃 I know how surprising and good it feels if you have extraordinary many great days in a short time, great to see you make good use out of that time and implement new strategies. You are a very, very wonderful person, everything good on earth you can imagine - I wish you get! 💜
Im sorry to hear you have lost 2 of your family recently, my sincere condolences. My most positive thing in the last days is to reconnect with God, thanks to you. I used to talk with God all the time then somehow over time I slowly abandoned Him. When I went back to Him I straight away felt His love strength and support which I am so grateful for. Thank you Shannon for guiding me back to our Lord. Another positive was to spend a joyful hour with my 7 year old granddaughter just laughing at silly things. Third was to re-paint a stained wall in my kitchen which had been stressing me for months. I love your channel and rewatch your videos frequently. Good luck with your weight loss. From Mags (UK)
Good morning sweet Shannon! Of course I click on your videos, always immediately, lol, cuz you're my favorite! So glad you're getting back to feeling better! That's wonderful! I'll say a prayer of thanks for that, and maybe use that as a first positive - that a TH-cam friend is gaining ground on her health journey and feeling better! Second positive is that the forecast is looking primo for making hay, which is our life right now, so here's hoping we can just balls to the wall and get it done fast so we can enjoy the rest of summer, and thirdly, in haying we often have friends and family help and the visiting and camaraderie we share while doing it is something I wouldn't trade for the world! 😁 I hope your day is wonderful!! 😊
Shannon Bless you and your family for your losses. Your strong Faith must be a huge comfort to you. So happy to see you looking and feeling so well!! I weigh 253 and am 5'7". My dr put me on Mounjaro a month ago for my Diabetes snd for weight loss. It is helping. I have lost a little and clothes are more comfortable. I feel sleepy but the nausea passed after three days. My sister in law lost 31 in 3 months. I know I will get off of it as soon as possible but need to get under200 for other issues. Still a challenge. Eating better is the key and smaller portions for me. You look so beautiful snd I love you rocking those jeans!! You have the best videos and I watch them over so much. Shane from Nashville area🎉🎉
Sorry to hear about your family. Sorrow is a trick think and it can come in waves. Be gentle with yourself and allow room for memories great, good, and bad to be felt whenever the come. Thinking of you!!
Prayers for you and your family on the the loss of your loved ones. I am so glad you are feeling better. I also started writing in my journal again. Haven't done it in a couple of months but when I do I feel so much better. Thanks for the nudge! Have a great week ahead!
New Subscriber... I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather and cousin. Felt the need to comment because you have truly helped me (though you don't know it). I have a rare disease called CMT. It's a nerve disorder that causes all kinds of issues like loss of balance, clumsiness, fatigue, pain... all the things. Anyway... that's not what this is about. What it IS about is... I'd pretty much given up (I've been told I'll be in a wheelchair - we just don't know when).... My house was a disaster. In 2 weeks, between you and FlyLady, I'm regaining control. FlyLady gives me the schedule that I need (and lists).... but you have helped teach me that it's ok if I don't get through all the schedules/lists... It's ok if I'm having a rough day and miss the sweeping...or the dishes... or whatever... I can do it tomorrow (or the day after). I'm learning... I do something for 10 minutes and take a break... and do something for 10 minutes and take a break Yes... it will take me forever to do... But, I just can't physically do the 1 hour thing or whatever. So. I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for teaching the world that we need to give ourselves grace. Thank you for being you. And.... on those days when you are down and dealing with the depression/lack of motivation/whatever.... I hope you can recall this comment (I know, out of the thousands that you probably get!) and know that you DO make a difference. 💙
I'm always excited to see a new video from you. I love your spirit!! I work in a hospital and was able to witness to a very sick man who was very depressed. I told him how he could become saved. This was the best thing that happened. I then came home and was able to swim in our pool with our kids. It was a blast! I was also able to spend a long time talking with my sister which is always a blessing to me.
Love you, Shannon! ☺ I'll bet Steven is pleased you're feeling better. It must be tough watching your loved one suffering without diagnosis. Pretty handwriting.
Hello sunshine!!! I’ve been thinking about you! So glad to see you!! You are looking great! So glad you’re feeling better!!! I’m very sorry for losses. I’ll be thinking about your family and hoping that all the good memories comfort you in the days ahead. Many hugs! Em ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Shannon! I hope the family is well! It’s so great to see your beautiful self on this Saturday morning. I’m bout to get myself in gear and tackle some rooms here in my home. Im so sorry for your families losses. I’m praying for you and your family. Thank you for your inspiration in your videos! Have a beautiful day! ❤️
Shannon, thank you for your inspiration of progress not perfection. Congratulations on your weight loss and especially feeling better and healthier. Sorry for you losses -- even when it is expected, it is hard. Great job at meal prep -- great ideas. Keep blessing us.
So glad your channel popped up on my screen. Sorry for your loss💐. Thank you for sharing your Ozempic story, very insightful. I enjoyed your story time while you cleaned.
Shannon I'm sorry for your losses. When I started Ozempic I experienced the same repulsion towards food! I thought I was crazy. I experienced all the same side effects except body aches. I went off it after 3 weeks because I was traveling, but intend to start up after my vaca next week. I love your vids!
💝 🕯️🕯️ well, this week I did ALL the things in avoidance of the one thing that I had put off and had grown into this big thing; cleaning the upstairs bath. Today I cleaned it, 1 hour better baby!
I wish I'd known you when I was a young wife and mother. We might have been friends. I surely would have learned a lot from you. My home was much like yours. It was sometimes like a bomb went off and then I did a ginormous reset. Now it is just my husband and I. We do a better job of it but I still need to do mega-reset days at times. I am just 2 weeks into my journey with Ozempic. We'll see what happens with that.
Hi!! I’m new here, thought I would drop in and say hello. I’m so sorry to hear about all the health struggles. I’m one of those people that are scared of prescription drugs because of the severe side effects. I’ll take them I’m I have to but there’s always anxiety accompanying it. Thanks for sharing the freezer meal ideas! I also need new ideas when it comes to cooking.
So happy to see you, sorry to hear of your family losses I'm grateful for my Husband's understanding when I'm in a flare up, spent 2 weeks with my Husband whilst he was off, plenty of happy memories made 😊
Great job and great video. I have two little kitchen tips, one put a damp cloth under your cutting board and it won’t slide and if you have a garbage disposal, throw the used lemons in it to clean it. Thanks.
Hehe 😊 Challenge accepted! I'm a model horse collector. We were on vacation until monday. Tough trip homebut I have 4 new horsies to unwrap annd got chosen for a lottery run model! Also took a walk today ❤ and 3rd..just being grateful for my job!
We are all human! You are killing it! I always say something is better than nothing! Even if you only get dishes done! It’s ok! Or if you only vacuum. It’s ok!
So sorry for your losses. I believe we all meet up on the other side. Prayers for peace and comfort for you and your family. (The meal prep looked really good, btw!)
Hi Shannon. I am on a weight loss journey as well. My husband and I both at my heaviest I was at 321 and also am about 5'6 after that I just didn't even care anymore. Scales were the last thing on my mind. I am so thankful though that I decided I was worth it. I started making changes then enlisted the help of a doctor of nutrition. She had shown us the right way to be eating in a little over a month together we are down close to 25 pounds and feel so much better. I encourage you to look up the GAPS nutritional protocol.
Oh Shannon, so sorry for your family losses 😢 No need to apologize❤ Thank-you for sharing your life with us ❤

Shannon, the pain was tough last week, but I made it through with your one hour better. 💕I’m so proud of you for those 5 lbs. You’ve got this.

Waco is one of my favorite places to visit. We camped there a few weeks ago.l and went swimming at the lake. Fun times!
@@LeafLikeOnATree I live about 10 minutes from Lake Waco!
Here's a tip for you! If you dampen a rag and put it under your cutting board it won't move around on you. Your marinades look wonderful.
I moved cross country. I really had to
Purge my stuff. The best thing I did was get rid of more than half my clothes! Shocking. Laundry is easier, getting dressed is easier and my drawers and closet are neater. In fact I’m going to reduce my “inventory” again.

I am so happy you have been feeling better! Chronic pain and illness is the worst, you deserve the relief. 💜
Thanks, Shannon! Those marinades look delish!
Our sympathy for your losses. That is hard to have 2 so closely together. Hugs and prayers from one Texas prayer warrior to another.
If you put a wet dish rack or something similar under your cutting board, it will make your slicing/cutting job a little safer😉
Shannon, Im so sorry for your losses! Prayers for your family.
I bet at least half of the pounds you threw away were mental load, that makes me extra excited for you 😃
I know how surprising and good it feels if you have extraordinary many great days in a short time, great to see you make good use out of that time and implement new strategies.
You are a very, very wonderful person, everything good on earth you can imagine - I wish you get! 💜
Thank you for these kind words Keelienne ❤️

Awe, Mags. Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
I'm so sorry about your loved ones. Congrats on taking control of your health and weight loss.
Thank you for these sweet words ❤️
I got some organizing done in my two bathrooms.
Nooooo…I didn’t want the video to end! I love seeing you so happy and productive! Gives me the inspiration I need! Thanks Shannon! 💜🌸
Sorry Shannon for your losses. Prayers for your family while they grieve.
I’m so sorry for your losses, Shannon. I’ll be praying for you and your family. 💗
Wow I so appreciate these words. You encourage ME to keep on trucking when things are hard. Thank you for that ❤️
So happy for you that you are feeling better! I know what it's like to be sick and tired of being sick and tired. ❤
I love watching your videos. I feel like I’m spending time with a friends
God Bless you for witnessing to that sick, depressed man! That's the most positive thing ever!
@@debraleague8135 when the holy spirit leads you, you can't resist it!
I'm so sorry for your losses. I am glad that you are feeling better.
Love you, Shannon! ☺ I'll bet Steven is pleased you're feeling better. It must be tough watching your loved one suffering without diagnosis. Pretty handwriting.
He’s having a hard time keeping up with me now 😂
Watched 24 seconds of your video and got inspired to pause it to go finish our chores! Chores done, hubby and I now sitting down to enjoy it! =)
Congratulations 🎉👏. I'm so happy to hear your doing so well.

Yummmm those marinades sound so good! I love having meals in the freezer ready to go.
I’m so sorry for the losses in your family. Praying for you. ❤
I lost my daddy in January of this year and my mom in February. It is so hard to get motivated. Grief does that.
LOVE Chris Stapleton
Shannon, thank you for your inspiration of progress not perfection. Congratulations on your weight loss and especially feeling better and healthier. Sorry for you losses -- even when it is expected, it is hard. Great job at meal prep -- great ideas. Keep blessing us.
Thank you so dearly for sharing about your losses and the details about your physical and mental health. You are helping so many not to feel alone!
Congrats on your weight loss and lack of pain/fatige. And sorry for your losses in your family. Hugs to you.
So sorry for your losses. Hugs and prayers🙏💞🙏💞
Yes!!! Sending you a virtual high five!
No video is ever late when you have lost loved ones. Grief is extremely hard.
So sorry for your losses, keeping you and your family in our prayers.
Your health story is so similar to what I'm going through. Thank you so much for sharing! You are an inspiration!
congrats on your wt loss that is so awesome. looking great girl.
I’m sorry for your loss, Shannon. But I’m happy for your progress with your health!
So happy to see you, sorry to hear of your family losses I'm grateful for my Husband's understanding when I'm in a flare up, spent 2 weeks with my Husband whilst he was off, plenty of happy memories made 😊
Congratulations on the weight loss. I celebrate with you!
Thank you so much!
Great job and great video. I have two little kitchen tips, one put a damp cloth under your cutting board and it won’t slide and if you have a garbage disposal, throw the used lemons in it to clean it. Thanks.
So many of you have told me to do this. Now if only I can remember in the moment 😂
hi Eric!!! 😊 I think as long as you don’t fall back into old bad habits you will do brilliant on your weight loss journey. ❤
Hehe 😊 Challenge accepted! I'm a model horse collector. We were on vacation until monday. Tough trip homebut I have 4 new horsies to unwrap annd got chosen for a lottery run model! Also took a walk today ❤ and 3rd..just being grateful for my job!
❤ Hello from Queensland Australia.I love your channel..
Great video Shannon
You got this! ❤
