Aight, let's be honest. This creature seems to be EXTREMELY intelligent, since at 5:30 It blocks the way for you to escape, then eats you. Or at 4:37 it circles around you, not only blocking your way to escape, but also making you don't know what is happening and where it is. It could even be at the level of intelligence of a dog or a monkey.
Also u know how in the play with food death animation they play with their prey like orcas do and they also block the escape of their prepay so that means these ice worms are very intelligent but they eat each other like mantids do so that means just like orcas ice worms are apex predators and that’s the reason why ice worms kill each other they eat each other if their is no food so they are most likely cannibals and they are most likely dangerous and hunt smaller prey like orcas do
i belive some whales have a hunting strategy where some of them create bubble nets while others catch the trapped fish it was probably the reference for the ice worms behavior
@@swordam1063 as long as u use the new upgrade for the ice worm ur fine. Also I don’t like how there’s technically no vehicles for land. Aka the snow fox is on the same catorgory as the sea glide.
@Fenix yes just be slow and the iceworm(s) won't attack you. Right now in early access they attack your Snowfox all the time, but I bet it will be easier to escape when the game is released
Cyclops shield generator could handle ghost leviathan but ice worm seems to have more raw attack power. I wonder if Cyclops shield can handle ice worm's blade although iceworm only lives in ice right? So no chance of a Cyclops vs iceworm showdown.
@@arthgorn1866 on east side of starter biome, there is a big ice shelf connected to the main land. (be careful since there are also island like icebergs) It has big cracks which you can fit a cyclops inside, and there are tall cliffs on its northern side. Its walls are tall, around 5 meters, but you can build a tall base near it and get up on the ice. And that is the tricky part. But once you get on the ice you basically outside of the playfield. Once you are on it, there is a hill which you can climb at north, you can see the area you first crash from there on a clear day. Stick to the edge of the map and go to most north-west part of the map, the dev-zone is there. It might be easier to do in creative though, since this is basically an artic expedition. If you want to try it on survival, dont forget to gear up properly.

My favourite attack/kill animations definitely have to be the Kill Fling, Kill Jaw and Attack Dive! Attack Spear is kinda cool, but it looks just unaccurate and weird for a giant worm-like monstrosity to just come over to you, stare at you and then slit through you. I love the design and the gnarly teeth inside it, would be cool if these bad boys were like guard dogs for you.

This ice worm crawling out of the ground looks so scary, but at the same time it looks so cool and smoothly flies to the surface to devour a player! O - O
while watching this video, i thought of "ice worm eggs" that hatch little baby ice worms, and there could be a new enclousure for it like the size of the big aquarium thing but its a icy plains or something, and u could play with it and stuff you do with baby bois

There’s actually a cool animation when you go in the caves and the ice worm crawls upside-down and uses its horn like a shovel to dig through the surroundings, then slink back into the walls. I’ve seen the animation before.

And in land, it would actually burrow in the ice, and pop out when you stop moving. You could also interact with it like the trivalve, and have a unique animation if you're holding a peeper or whatever else. That would be SO cool. Someone should make a mod of this :)
They could've made the place where they are like a floating island. This would probably make it more scary because there's a deep ocean underneath the thin ice. If they did this then they could add animations where the ice worm drags the player down into the ocean and trap them only to be stalked and eaten moments later

Below Zero seems to have so many instant kill animations that you can't escape from or predict. Hardcore mode is gonna be HELL.
