About Subnautica:
Subnautica is an open world survival game in development by Unknown Worlds Entertainment.
Subnautica allows the player to explore an aquatic alien planet by scuba diving and traveling in ,
while collecting resources and food to survive. It was released on Steam Early Access on December 16, 2014.
The Xbox release was in August 2016.
The player controls in first-person view the lone survivor of a crashed ship on an aquatic planet.
The main objective of the player is to explore the open world environment and survive the dangers of the planet, while also continuing the story.
Subnautica allows the player to collect resources, construct tools, bases, and submersibles, and interact with the planet's wildlife.
Players must keep themselves adequately hydrated and fed, and must also maintain their oxygen supply while traversing underwater.
The game also includes a day and night cycle.
Subnautica was first announced by Unknown Worlds Entertainment on December 17, 2013, with Charlie Cleveland as the game director and lead gameplay programmer,
and Hugh Jeremy as the producer.
The development team opted to use the Unity engine rather than Spark, the engine used for the company's previous game,
Natural Selection 2. Subnautica producer Hugh Jeremy justified this decision because of the different demands that the game places on the engine,
and "because [the team] does not include people working on Spark, it's not appropriate for Subnautica to use Spark. By using Unity for Subnautica,
Spark can continue to develop in certain directions, while Subnautica develops in others. To use Spark for Subnautica would be to try and square peg a round hole."
The development team also opted against the inclusion of lethal weapons in the game. Charlie Cleveland, the game's director,
described Subnautica as "one vote towards a world with less guns," and had felt inspired by real life gun violence,
including the Sandy Hook shooting, to encourage players to think about "non-violent and more creative solutions to solve our problems."
Subnautica was released on Steam Early Access on December 16, 2014.
Subnautica was originally planned to be released on Xbox One on April 1, 2016, but was ultimately delayed by another month.
Full V1.0 release is planned for September / October 2017. - เกม

I really like the idea of the "Broken Tusk" reapers.
It would have been interesting to see some consequences for taking too long to fix the Aurora, since the PDA warns of an extinction level event from the leak, but you're free to just ignore it and keep doing your thing.
So something like the crash zone reapers mutating into larger, scarier, more hostile versions would be a fun way to make the player feel like their choices actually had an impact on the world.
The redesign really makes them look like they've suffered trauma and mutation as a result of exposure to the leak, as well.
Would love to see this in a mod.

Every time I think about the hostile version of the sea emperor. I imagine the sea dragon, ghost and reaper leviathans. Seeing the sea emperor for the first time (right after watching the teaser trailer) and they swim away screaming (high pitched). Not gonna lie, that would be so funny. No it can't, not only is the head shape *way* off, the entire anathomy of the skeleton in the * *Lost* * River is completely different, the creature in this concept art has a very hunchback-y neck and body and squid-like arms, whereas the Gargantuan Leviathan skeleton (yes, that's the name displayed in the PDA after you've scanned it) has a very long eel-like body, and was supposed to have been over a mile long (English mile, not 10 km, it's less than that), which makes them completely different.
But overall, good suggestion.

I really hope that the Arctic expansion had (if it does come out) a separate story from the main game. Say something like Broken Tusk was a gigantic form of prehistoric leviathan contained in an iceberg surrounded by a precursor base? Then once the player turns on the base's power, this super huge leviathan stats to wake up, then it's a race against time to destroy the base's power source before the leviathan can free itself. Just a thought!
Tristan Pratt Good idea, but hard to implement. I just hope devs will make a another game, in subnautica universe, like (when the player returns, Alterra will send a scientists at 4546B) or (Alterra will be exploring some new worlds from the precursor data which player has collected, and we will find their main planet which is not infected, but all of the precursors are in some sleep, or datahub)
I know that the story designer doesn't want direct contact with precursors, but I think that the story about them could be very interesting. This is just my idea too.

I really hope they add some kind of "Game Over" event in the Void. It would be soooooo creepy. Like 6:08. First you hear a roar, as a warning, go further you and you hear it again but louder (closer) go even further and the game stops and takes you into a super epic HD Game Over cutscene with this thing! Would be so awesomely epic if they did something like that...
In my mind its not actually an in-game creature, just some sound files for the roar warning and a cutscene. But i have no idea how these things work.

The emperor was always intended to be passive, it just appeared hostile in the trailers bc the sea dragon model wasn’t finished so it was a stand in
Im just putting this out there but i think the 2nd one (from the top three) should be implemented in the void and should be called 'The GrandFather Leviathan' and here are its features:
*Practically Indestructable due to the ageing process of a leviathan (as they get older the thicker their skin gets)
*Passive to Players (however a meat-eater) but not to other Big fish like the fluourescent piranna (2:58)
*The Ghost Leviathans guard the GrandFather and give it food
*No machine or submarine of any kind can get down to its nest at the bottom of the void
*it is absolutely massive and i'm thinking x2 size of a Sea Emperor and x4 of a fluorescent Piranna (2:58)
Again just had a small brainstorm, nothing significant but i would love to see it in game ;)
I would love to see something the size of that that only eats microorganisms, that the "piranhas" feed on. also, if creatures like the lost river eel was down there forcing the ghost Leviathans to stay at the edge if the void, near the volcano, where the eel could not reach it, similar to why sharks stay away from shallow water. Also, there should be a set of large thermal vents, with massive "trees" that use the heat from the vents to grow huge, and have some reefback-sized herbivores that act like parasites to those trees, and they would hide in the depressions/tunnels they eat to hide from all the predators in the void. That would be a great addition, or in the event of a sequel, supporting the double-gun theory, where you crash land in the void, and possibly find another ship (maybe degassi) that would act as a safe shallows, despite being in the void.

actually i think number 2, (the grandfather) is in the game, just not alive, notice how it's head looks an awful lot like the giant skull in the lost river with all the precursor tech around it?
I love the idea of a huge monster that lives in the very depths of a void, and if you get too close it pulls you in. That would be just the scariest thing, but it would also be so interested to see it fully because I can imagine the thing pulling you in with just its huge tentacles and you don't actually see it's face until it brings you closer to destroy your sub. Even then you won't know how huge it actually is and that would just make it scarier which is super cool :,)

Its cool seeing these concepts from years ago and now seeing some of these creatures getting put into the game in either mods or below zero
The cthulu like one could have been in the dunes, so the sound does the “are you sure what you’re doing is worth it” thing, but then you’re in a false sense of security thinking that there is joking there. Then imagine like a hill or a wreck in he middle of the dunes, you go over to investigate and the leviathan just comes up and you can’t escape and die, that would be pretty sick

Salamanders are predators of insects and are hunted by everything bigger than them pretty much so the thing at 2:40 could have predators of it, like the reaper leviathan, it still makes sense that it could drop part of it to escape from predators.

The roar of the reaper leviathan is so human like and it sounds like a man screaming at the top of his lungs. IMO that makes it the scariest leviathan

The native could be like a neutral being, like you can interact with them like giving them fish to Let you get throught their territory without being attacked or trade with them and become friends
The glow whale(#10) and the rock puncher may have not been in this game but they are in the sequel (below zero)

The sea emperor is still considered hostile, it just doesn’t act that way to you for the sake of its young, your PDA says when you enter her chamber that it is sensing passive behaviour in a usually hostile creature

A blue leviathan with inverted face claws and intimidating appearance. Appears in a very suspenseful cut scene where he approaches swiftly, and as He is right by you, mouth open and all, he dodges you and takes out a reaper, and drags it down. If you go down deeper afterwards, you see a reaper skeleton on some ledge. You follow the direction he came from to see a temple, and if you do many quests that are sometimes assisted by the leviathan, the ancient king will give him to you as reward. You are able to tend to his needs. If he wants food, he can snack on fish or you can take him leviathan hunting, if you get enough titanium you can make him some armor. He is only unlocked as a permanent ally after long difficult missions to help with him being op. You can also apply a carriage so instead of a sub, you have a giant creature that eats other creatures. He won't be able to access specific areas such as the below zero dlc are specific story quests, except as a travel assistant idea given
I love watching these videos on subnautica theory videos and see that they added many of the biomes and creatures into their new DLC

To be honest, the game lacks some huge creature, leviathan, capable of not just drowning Cyclops, but gradually dragging it to the bottom of the Void. Just imagine: you have entered an ecologically dead zone, moved a long distance from the safe zone. Suddenly, something hit your ship from above (a tentacle? A fin? The body of the creature?), and you, having lost the ability to control, abruptly began to gain depth, occasionally getting hull holes.
6:44 I feel like this one would have its own area by the void where it is. There would be an island there with more alien cannons, but they seemed more suited for attacking something in the sea. Then this beast would rise from the water, and the guns would start firing at it. It would dive underwater, only to emerge closer to the island and destroy the guns.
The Guns only shoot at Foreign vehicles to quarantine the planet, they do not shoot at creatures. And what would be the point of the guns being there if this Leviathan could backslap them and destroy them.
Watching this after playing below zero is just bizarre and fascinating the glow whales and rock crushers were concept art for the first game

The one with what looks like an old man, I would say non-hostile because of the grassy beard and specks of grass on its fins. I would also say they would live in the large depths of the kelp forest from the kelp around and on it’s fins
Honestly i wish that there was a mesmer leviathan at the void and you can only see it's eyes pulling you in with its hypnotism until it swallows you whole.

*What, no Jellyfish? The Australian Irukandji comes to mine, along with the Portuguese Man of War.
That Broken Tusk, make it 5 or more times bigger then a regular reaper put it in the void. Maybe a conditional spawn where if you survive the ghost leviathans somehow or go further away from the main area they will retreat then this guy will come.
Am I the only one wanting for a more realistic style subnautica remaster in a couple years? Cause imagine this game with 4K kinda details and textures giving the already amazing details even better highlights

I bet the second form of number 8 is the creature's larval stage. It looks like it assimilates the metal pieces in its environment as it grows to form a shell and then posssibly drops that unarmored tail section to develop another larva to continue its life cycle.

The whale leviathan is called glow-whales and it was released for Subnautica : Below Zero as a non-predator creature

You say that it was supposed to be smaller, but you should also remember how artists, making concept art or commissions work, they make things closer bigger and anything further smaller, and you can clearly see with the Sea Emperor, that there’s a clear angle, also, you showed an old trailer that shows that the Sea Emperor is FUCKING HUGE.
