I've had the pleasure of seeing Jamie on four different occasions. I will go every time he is in town. Fantastic, brilliant musician. We need more of him!
AMAZING! Jamie nailed this perfectly. Again! I should be used to this by now, but somehow he keeps surprising me. Carolina (from the Cullumholics and Jamie Cullum Portugal)
@TheOneThatGetsIt I dunno bro, a lot of people respond to classy pretty well. M.L. King Jr. was pretty classy. Gandhi was definitely classy. When you keep your cool, there's a certain impact you make on people. But the crazy performance stuff. I doesn't make you a better musician, that's for sure. It just makes you fun to watch. Like I'm no special/amazing keyboardist but I play keytar 'cuz it's gimmicky and grabs people's attention. I believe that's why he does it.
@camilo06 First: you seem to ignore that the festival producers asked Mr De Niro what he would like to listen and his reply was Jamie Cullum as he likes him very much. Second: listen to this rendition th-cam.com/video/F1r6GcPqFSo/w-d-xo.html then if you still don't hear his talent I'm afraid you don't have enough musical knowledge and taste to appreciate music.
@TheOneThatGetsIt But I believe that maybe the best way to express your opinion effectively on the internet (and possibly everywhere) is to target a specific audience/demographic and state a comment in a thought provoking way. That way, the people willing to consider a different opinion will do just that and not feel forced, insulted or bullied. Everyone else will still be entitled to their own opinions. Does that make sense?
@TheOneThatGetsIt I read the internet part but I didn't consider that. I'm not exactly sure what my opinion of the internet is. I guess for a lot of people, the anonymity of the internet does provide a veil that allows people to be very outspoken and sometime very extremist. I don't think THIS was a waste of time though. I think that when it comes to the internet the only waste of time would be trying to force opinions. Neither of us are doing that though.
@TheOneThatGetsIt Oh my God bro, I was like half-kidding! :-D Chill! Of coarse you're entitled to your opinion. Just don't be so harsh. It's like this: My favorite band is Switchfoot. Not everyone likes Switchfoot and that's okay with me, but if I posted a video about Switchfoot and someone came up and was all "This is bullshit," It would be pretty disrespectful. Just keep your cool and carry on. And keep it classy.
No prob with you misunderstanding my comment as the only thing I "dismiss" is the wrong information about JC being "an Artificial "artist " product of some producer that is all" as JC is not. Read again your own comments on Nick Cave's video's to understand what is "dismissing" people opinion YT just "allows" ONE to comment and others to like it or not. So, I believe people who can't find any talent in JCs performances are musically uneducated people. Indeed, his voice is not that good, I agree.
What is annoying about your view which allows you to dismiss others' perfectly valid opinions IS: One can appreciate something is GOOD but equally NOT LIKE IT. I find JC utterly boring and painful to listen to. I assume he must be good (though this is not a given).

Wow, haven't heard Jamie C. play for 4 years, and it surprises me that he can still amaze
Anyone know where I can find a piano sheet music for this? I would very much like to learn to play his version.
He pretty much improvised that, I mean it's jazz.

@FTMKHDR agree

Where is full show of this Cannes De Niro honour night?
The only one who dislikes this video wasn't born in New York I think lol
Yep,Melanie laurent!

one person wanted to put "like" but she made a mistake and put "dislike"...
Thats Melanie Laurent, omg
2:32 "tell me i'm a virgin again"
@FTMKHDR unkown¿?
interesting
That woman in black dress is Melanie Laurent?
IT'S FUCKING NOREE JONES IN DRAG!
I'm a huge Jamie Cullum fan, but I don't feel this went too well.
@SixtoMagno I mean he doesn't have the fame that he deserves ...
Is it Uma Thurman??
Was he really singing for De Niro ??? or for the blonde girl on his left =D cuz he definitely got to her ;p
Awkward. De Niro could have been replaced with a wax figure. It would have been more responsive.
here is the rendition I was talking about:
th-cam.com/video/F1r6GcPqFSo/w-d-xo.html
so f*cking brillant
its in every era the same example the genuis is not appreciated... :(

i personally think it was a bad song choice for a De niro b-day...
like MsChamallow said..
Melanie Laurent son uncomfortable cause De Niro's face.
@TheOneThatGetsIt Can you do better?
clap on 2 and 4 not 1 2 3 4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
De Niro se quería puro ir a su casa wn
De Niro está incómodo - No esta de lo suyo para esos farolillos....En habiendo la de Sinatra ...donde va a paraaar jajaaaa, juas
pfffff, it's for de niro not for jay z the ceremony !!!!!!!!!!!
No prob with you misunderstanding my comment as the only thing I "dismiss" is the wrong information about JC being "an Artificial "artist " product of some producer that is all" as JC is not.

Indeed, his voice is not that good, I agree.
Unfortunately, Jamie Cullum is an unknown genius ...
niro not happy...not even toe tapping
Am I the only one thinking, it would be somewhat intimidating to be close to de Niro ? ;-)
seems to be boring atmosphere there
De Niro didn't look alright.
i love jamie cullum, but that was a bad perdormance
Lol don't even go there
jamie is trying hard...but the certain jazz-soul is missing..I sense, robert feels the same.
me gusta el, pero horrenda performance, destrozo el tema de alicia
Pedro Estela entonces no lo veas

We do.. so what? I assume you're normal but he got more talent than you?
